
Yemen's Houthis mobilize 82,000 volunteers for potential operations against Israel
Fayez al-Hanami, the official spokesperson for the Houthi administration in Sana'a, revealed that these volunteers have finished the initial stage of training as part of a program dubbed "Al-Aqsa Storm," Sources reports, citing Iranian media.
He also confirmed that the second phase has already begun, with plans to recruit up to 100,000 additional fighters in the capital alone.
Similar training programs are reportedly underway in other Houthi-controlled regions, including Saada, Amran, Hajjah, and Jawf.
This development occurs amid rising tensions in the Middle East, accompanied by escalating military rhetoric from Iran and its regional allies.

Al-Quds Brigades strike Be'eri & Shokidah settlements , Israeli soldiers & equipment
Gaza – Saba: Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, announced today, Sunday, that it had targeted the Be'eri and Shokidah settlements in the Gaza envelope and struck Israeli soldiers and military equipment north of Khan Younis in southern Gaza. In two separate statements received by the Yemen News Agency (Saba), the Brigades said: 'We shelled the Be'eri and Shokidah settlements in the Gaza envelope with several rockets in response to the crimes of the Israeli enemy against our people.' They added: 'This afternoon, we fired mortar shells (60mm caliber) at concentrations of Israeli soldiers and equipment advancing along Street 5, north of Khan Younis.' This action comes as part of the Palestinian resistance factions' response to what they describe as the Israeli enemy's acts of mass killing against the residents of Gaza, supported by the United States, since October 7, 2023. These acts include killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, disregarding international appeals and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt them.

Gaza – Saba: Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, announced on Sunday that it had destroyed an Israeli military vehicle in Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, south of Gaza City. In a brief statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Brigades said: 'Yesterday, Saturday, we destroyed an Israeli military vehicle by detonating a highly explosive device – reverse-engineered – as it advanced in the Hassan al-Banna area of Al-Zaytoun, south of Gaza City.' The operation comes as part of a series of attacks carried out by Palestinian resistance factions against Israeli forces operating across multiple fronts in the Gaza Strip.
