Sivalenka Krishna Prasad: Every project now revolves around combinations

Eminent producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad spoke about his latest film
Sarangapani Jathakam
at a recent press meet. Sivalenka talked about his experience working with writer-director Mohana Krishna Indraganti, the changes in industry over last three decades, and more.
Krishna Prasad, who is producing the film under Sridevi Movies, stated, 'We planned the film to have Jandhyala's brand of comedy, and Indraganti's mark to please everyone and reach everyone. The void of a full-length comedy movie will be filled with this film.' Talking about his film's lead Priyadarshi, the producer noted, 'After hearing this story, we thought that Darshi would be good. After Court, Priyadarshi has further grown in stature. There, he appeared serious, but in this movie, he makes everyone laugh a lot.' The renowned producer also spoke about reuniting with Mohana Krishna Indraganti after delivering hits like
Gentleman
and
Sammohanam
. He noted, 'Whether it's a love story like Sammohanam, a film like Gentleman, or a comedy, the audience knows what Indraganti's mark is. Indraganti's comedy timing in this film is on another level. I am going to do another film with him soon.'
Krishna Prasad also reflected on the evolving working style of industry, adding, 'Once upon a time, a film would be completed in three months. Back then, we would plan a film with one hero and then another. But now, each person is putting four or five projects in line. Everything revolves around combinations.'
The producer also explained the reasons for delaying release for
Sarangapani Jathakam
. He said, 'We are coming a little late with the intention of finding the right theaters, which we couldn't find on April 18. We are also releasing it grandly overseas in more than 220 theaters.'
Talking about his future projects, Krishna Prasad said, 'We are currently discussing some stories. I really liked the two stories told by the directors of Yashoda. I also found the story told by Pawan Sadhineni very interesting. I am very afraid of sequels, so I stay away from them. But if Balakrishna starts the work on the sequel to Aditya 369, I will be a part of it.'
Also starring Roopa Koduvayur, Vennela Kishore and Harsha Chemudu in significant roles,
Sarangapani Jathakam
is set to hit theatres on April 25.

Rana Naidu 2 actor Rana Daggubati: Globally, theatres are on a decline

Actor Rana Daggubati, who has been a part of Indian cinema for almost 15 years, says that the Telugu industry is showing remarkable growth, be it global success stories like the Baahubali and Pushpa series, and RRR (2022), or smaller films. 'Globally, the theatres are on a decline in some manner. Seven or eight years ago, there were three times the number of theatres that there are today,' shares the 40-year-old, who will next be seen in the web series Rana Naidu 2, adding, 'Now, there are so many more mediums of entertainment or content viewing, be it OTT, YouTube or just something on your phone.' Also Read| Rana Daggubati opens up about nepotism in film industries, says 'ultimately you have to stand in front of camera, act' Despite the challenges, he remains optimistic: 'Cinema will always find its beat; there are a few things that are still communal as watching a film together — that doesn't go away easily.' He cites actor Priyadarshi Pulikonda's Telugu legal drama Court as an example of how good cinema still resonates, despite a small budget. 'There are so many independent films that have become popular, which wouldn't have been the case a few years ago. Like Court which has done very well. Such films are almost getting to mainstream numbers,' he says. A post shared by Netflix India (@netflix_in) Rana also praises the Telugu industry's diversity and affordability. 'Telugu is doing better than the other industries because of the larger variety of stuff that is being produced. And the cost of going to cinema in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana is still not as expensive as Mumbai and Delhi.' Regarding the expectations of pan-India blockbusters from Telugu films, he emphasises that not every story is meant to be universal. 'Some things are just for a local market. You need that cultural understanding. Having said that, there are also films made with the clear intention of reaching audiences across the country, and that has been happening,' he ends.

Blake Lively Faces Dead End in Justin Baldoni Feud: Judge Rules Out Emotional Distress Claims, Find Out Details

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's case has escalated over the months, and the progress seems to be in favor of the filmmaker. According to the new reports, the judge overseeing the case between the co-stars has declared the actress's emotional distress claims to be dead. The ruling was shared by Judge Lewis Liman after back-and-forth filings by both parties. According to the previously published reports, Lively's attorneys got back at Baldoni 's lawyers, who claimed that the mother of four tried to withdraw her lawsuit to hide her medical records. The actress's team stated, 'As the Wayfarer Parties make abundantly clear in their Motion, Ms. Lively voluntarily agreed to withdraw her infliction of emotional distress claims on Friday, May 30. Ms. Lively did so in good faith to streamline the dispute in the ordinary litigation process, given the damages she otherwise anticipates recovering.' Judge Lewis Liman's ruling As for the new ruling in the Lively vs. Baldoni case, the judge mentioned that the actress is at a dead end in changing her mind over disclosing her medical records. In the motion penned by the judge this morning, Liman stated, 'Lively's request that 'because the parties have agreed to dismiss Ms. Lively's tenth and eleventh causes of action… the Court exercise its inherent authority and authority under Rule 15 to dismiss them without prejudice' is denied without prejudice to renewal.' He further added that either Lively reaches an agreement with Baldoni over the filing with prejudice or has the court dismiss them without prejudice. Whichever way her team chooses, she can no longer present any evidence of her emotional distress. The case between the It Ends With Us co-stars has been going on since December, months after the movie was released.
