SCOTLAND'S "pothole capital" has been revealed in a list of the worst affected areas in the UK.
Researchers at OddsMonkey analysed open case pothole data from all 32 local authorities.

They discovered there were a total of 43,236 reports made about crater-covered roads in the UK.
Using figures from FixMyStreet, the team found Glasgow City Council has 9,247 open pothole reports.
This is followed by Edinburgh City Council with 4,994 reports and Highland Council, which received 4,420 reports.
The menace to drivers has seen a spate of burst tyres, damaged motors and even crashes with vehicles written off.
It comes as 2,135 insurance claims were submitted to Glasgow City Council in 2023.
Meanwhile The AA has reported a five per cent rise in pothole incidents across the UK, and Glasgow has been slammed repeatedly for the state of its roads.
There have previously been more than 120,000 complaints about conditions on Great Western Road alone.
And campaigner Mark Morrell previously branded the city the UK's pothole capital.
We previously told how major routes in Glasgow were patched up ahead of the UCI World Cycling Championships in 2023.
The latest research comes just months after figures showed that 400,000 complaints about pothole had been reported to Scotland's local authorities since 2021.

The stats were released by the Scottish Conservatives in January of this year found that 413,183 potholes were recorded in the last four years.

No official numbers from Kia yet but I'm guessing £31k for the petrol manual when it hits showrooms in September? That would be a lot of car at a sensible price. Reports show that, since the G 580 was introduced in April last year, the original G-Wagon has almost seven times more sales than its electric counterpart. German newspaper Handelsblatt reported that one Mercedes executive had labelled the motor a "complete flop". They added: "The car is sitting like lead at dealers. It's a complete flop." It is understood that only 1,450 electric G-Wagons had been sold over a 12-month period, compared to 9,700 sales of the regular version. The latter retails from £133,500, which is £20,000 less than its electric alternative. Customers have also been put off by the EV's EPA-certified range, which sits at just 239 miles from a single charge. And it could affect Mercedes plans for a downsized version, the "Little G", which is set to be released in 2027. Speaking to Motor1, Mercedes' Markus Nast, global communications manager for compacts, midsizers, and the G-Class, said the company was "prepared for all market scenarios". He added: "Into the 2030s, we can flexibly offer vehicles with both a fully electric drivetrain or an electrified high-tech combustion engine. "Our customers decide what suits them best. This also applies for the G-Class." The G 580 features a three-speed intelligent off-road crawl function, which can drag the car through ditches and ravines. And with an impressive 587hp, the three-tonne tank is as quick as a Porsche Cayman off the line. But reports have shown that the all-electric iteration has tanked in the market, with customers still favouring the iconic original motor. The Sun contacted Mercedes for comment.

The former velodrome star was diagnosed with prostate cancer in September 2023. Last year he revealed his condition is terminal and that he was given two to four years to live.
