India Rejects Pakistans Misinformation: S400, Brahmos Missile Base Untouched, Says Colonel Qureshi
India-Pakistan Ceasefire: India-Pakistan Ceasefire: Following days of heightened tensions, India and Pakistan agreed on Saturday to halt all military actions, including firing on land, air, and sea, effective from 5 PM. Colonel Sophia Qureshi refuted Pakistan's claims, calling them a "misinformation campaign."
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said that Pakistan's Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) and the Indian DGMO spoke to each other, after which the agreement was reached. This comes after United States President Donald Trump also said on Saturday that the two nations have agreed to a "full and immediate" ceasefire.
Later, Commodore Raghu R Nair, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, and Colonel Qureshi addressed a Ministry of Defence (MoD) briefing. The Indian Armed Forces debunked the claims made by Pakistan as tensions between the two nations had escalated.

Here are the claims that Pakistan had made and India debunked:
1- S400, Brahmos Missile Not Damaged: Addressing the briefing, Colonel Qureshi said that Pakistan had claimed that it damaged India's S400 and Brahmos missile base with its JF 17, which is completely wrong.
2- Airfields Not Damaged: Pakistan ran a misinformation campaign that our airfields in Sirsa, Jammu, Pathankot, Bhatinda, Nalia, and Bhuj were damaged, and its misinformation is also completely wrong.
3- Chandigarh and Vyas Ammunition Depot Not Damaged: According to Pakistan's 'misinformation campaign', India's ammunition depot in Chandigarh and Vyas was damaged, which is completely wrong.
4- Mosques Not Damaged: Pakistan made false allegations that the Indian Army damaged mosques. Colonel Qureshi added, "I want to make it very clear that India is a secular nation and our army is a very beautiful reflection of the constitutional value of India."

Earlier, in a press briefing, the Foreign Secretary said, "Pakistan's Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) called Indian DGMO at 15:35 hours earlier this afternoon. It was agreed between them that both sides would stop all firing and military action on land and in the air and sea with effect from 1700 hours Indian Standard Time. Today, instructions have been given on both sides to give effect to this understanding. The Directors General of Military Operations will talk again on the 12th of May at 1200 hours."
India-Pakistan Conflict
On April 22, in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam, terrorists opened fire, killing 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen. After which 'Operation Sindoor' was launched by the Indian Armed Forces, hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK); altogether, nine sites were targeted.
In a statement of the Ministry of Defence, it was clarified, 'Our actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature. No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted. India has demonstrated considerable restraint in selection of targets and method of execution.'
As per a post of the Defence Ministry on X, drones were sighted at 26 locations along the International Border and LoC with Pakistan. These include suspected armed drones. The locations include Baramulla, Srinagar, Avantipora, Nagrota, Jammu, Ferozpur, Pathankot, Fazilka, Lalgarh Jatta, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bhuj, Kuarbet and Lakhi Nala.

Air India To Insure Passengers On All Flights For Next Few Months After Ahmedabad Tragedy
Last Updated: A London-bound Air India Flight AI-171 crashed into a residential area of Ahmedabad on Thursday, killing all but one of its 242 passengers and over 30 on the ground. Following the devastating Air India accident that killed more than 260 people, Air India has decided to insure every passenger on all its flights as a precautionary measure, according to a source in the airline. As per the source, each passenger will be covered for approximately Rs 30 lakh to Rs 50 lakh. This move will remain in effect for at least the next few months. Three days after the tragic crash of Air India flight AI-171 in Ahmedabad, which has so far claimed over 270 lives, hospital authorities on Sunday confirmed the identification of 47 victims through DNA matching, including that of former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. Rupani was among the 242 passengers and crew members on board the London-bound Air India flight AI-171 that crashed on Thursday. Only one passengers managed to miraculously survive the crash on that day, while more than 30 people were killed on the ground. Due to the severe condition of many bodies, as they are burnt or disfigured, authorities are relying on DNA matching for identification. '"A total of 47 plane crash victims have been identified so far through DNA matching. Of these, the bodies of 24 victims have been handed over to their respective families. These deceased were from Rajasthan and different parts of Gujarat," Additional Civil Superintendent Dr. Rajnish Patel told reporters. Meanwhile, Air India on Sunday said it is working closely with other Tata group companies to provide every possible assistance to the families and loved ones of the plane crash victims. The airline in a statement also said that over 400 family members have reached Ahmedabad and are being assisted by its teams on the ground. It had earlier promised complete transparency in the investigation into establishing the cause of the accident. PK Mishra, Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, visited the crash site to assess the situation on Sunday. He was briefed on the sequence of events and interacted with the injured at the Civil Hospital. 'I am very pained by the enormity of the tragedy. Everybody is sad. It is our duty to share grief and express our feelings for the victims," Mishra told reporters. Authorities announced Sunday that the second black box, the cockpit voice recorder, had been recovered. This may offer investigators more clues about what went wrong. There were 169 Indian passengers, 53 British, seven Portuguese and a Canadian on board the flight, as well as 12 crew members.

Israel-Iran tension: Kashmiri students in Iran feel ‘traumatised', parents seek PM's intervention
Scores of parents with wards studying in Iran on Sunday (June 15, 2025) urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar to initiate measures to evacuate 'traumatised and panicked' students following aerial raids by Israel in major cities of Iran in the past three days. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said he was in touch with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and mulling evacuation. 'Following the aerial attack, the students are feeling panicked and traumatised. We should not wait for any casualty to take place,' a Kashmiri parent said. 'Hundreds of students are stranded in Iran in the midst of a war. They have not slept for days now. Three days have passed. We request the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister to arrange the evacuation of these students like in Operation Ganga. As they were sent to Ukraine, flights should be sent to Iran to evacuate the students,' Maqsoodi Uri, a parent, said. Several parents claimed the stranded students were making distress calls to their families in the Kashmir Valley and seeking the Indian Embassy's help in Iran 'to move them to safe shelters'. Nasir Khuehami, national convenor of the J&K Students Association, on Sunday (June 15, 2025) evening claimed that 'an Israeli strike hit the Hujat Dost Ali Hostel in Tehran, which houses many Kashmiri students'. 'Some students sustained minor injuries. We have spoken to several of them, and while the injuries are not serious, the situation remains deeply concerning. The situation has left these students traumatised and terrified,' Mr. Khuehami said. While the Union Government has not immediately confirmed any such incident, the news of it has added to the anxiety of the parents. J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said he was in touch with the MEA regarding the evolving situation in Iran, particularly with regard to Kashmiri students in Tehran, Shiraz, Qom, and other Iranian cities. Mr. Abdullah said he had also spoken to External Affairs Ministers (EAM) S. Jaishankar. 'The Honourable Minister assured me that the MEA is in close contact with their counterparts in Iran and will take all necessary steps to safeguard all Indian students in Iran,'' Mr. Abdullah said. 'A decision to evacuate, if necessary, will be taken based on the ground situation keeping the safety and security of these students as the primary consideration. We will keep everyone informed as the situation develops,' he said. 'As a parent, I assure all the concerned parents of my government's close and continuous attention to this important developing situation,' Mr. Abdullah said. NC MP Syed Aga Ruhullah Mehdi also posted on social media on the issue. 'An Israeli strike hit Hujat Dost Ali hostel in Tehran, housing many Kashmiri students. Some sustained minor injuries. I've written to EAM urging their relocation within Iran or evacuation once the airspace opens,' Mr. Mehdi said.
