Amazon US Father's Day deals drop Galaxy Watch Ultra, Watch7 prices, Galaxy Buds also on offer

GSM Arena21 hours ago

A couple of days ago, we posted about a Father's Day deal from Amazon US on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. But if dad already has a phone he likes, you can pick up something to accessorize it with – a new smartwatch, for example. The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra is built for durability and long battery life. It has advanced health tracking features like ECG.
Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra
There is only one version – a 4G-connected 47mm watch. This allows it to work independently of a phone, whether to track exercise outside or because dad forgot his phone. This offer comes bundled with a 25W charger – a bit overkill for the watch (it supports 10W), but you can use it for phones too.
Alternatively, the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 is available in 40mm and 44mm sizes. It's a bit more stylish than the Ultra – at least its vibe isn't so outdoorsy – and it only has Bluetooth by default, making it a good deal more affordable. There is an LTE version too, if you think that is helpful. The Watch7 is bundled with a free SmartTag2, which can be used to track keys, a backpack or anything else, really.
You can also go back in time a bit and pick up the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic, currently the last model with a rotating bezel. It's available in 43mm and 47mm sizes and also has a 4G option if you want it.
Another piece of kit you can get is the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro. These have great sound quality, better ANC than before and the stems do make for easier controls.

The buds can be connected to a watch too, not just a phone. Especially one with 4G – the watch+buds combo can handle calls, stream music, even do messages with voice transcription. There's AI on hand to answer questions too. Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro $65 off

Alternatively, the Samsung Galaxy Buds FE are a pretty cheap add-on, if just a watch doesn't seem enough. These don't have stems, but they have wings that keep them stable in the ear. They do have ANC too, it's just not on the level of the Buds3 Pro. Samsung Galaxy Buds FE $35 off
We may get a commission from qualifying sales.

Exclusive: AI+ smartwatch launching this month with in-built TWS, Nova 1 and Pulse 1's prices tipped

Earlier this week, we exclusively shared an image of the AI+ Nova 2 5G smartphone, which will be launched on June 25 in India. Now we learn that AI+, part of the NxtQuantum Shift Technologies, will also launch the smart wearables category, with the first product - or one of the first products - being a smartwatch with in-built TWS. Our tipster shared an image of the AI+ smartwatch's retail box, which suggests the smartwatch will be a part of the "wearbuds" lineup and will be called "wearbuds Watch 3." There's also text below the branding that reads "Smartband-Stored True Wireless Earbuds." The box doesn't display the watch's image, but the outline gives us an idea of the wearable and TWS' design, with the latter having silicone tips for passive noise cancellation. The tipster told us that like the smartphones, the AI+ smartwatch will also be manufactured in India. AI+'s wearbuds Watch 3 We previously reported that AI+'s Nova series will include "three distinct" 5G smartphone models, priced between INR5,000 ($60/€50) and INR8,000 ($95/€80). We know one of them is the Nova 2 5G, whose price is unknown, and our tipster shared the prices of two phones we haven't heard of before - the Nova 1 5G and Pulse 1. The Nova 1 5G will be priced at INR5,000 ($60/€50), while the Pulse 1 will cost INR6,000 ($70/€60). If those prices are correct, these will be some of the most affordable 5G smartphones in the market. This new information doesn't align with what we heard previously, so we are assuming that either the third Nova phone got rebranded to Pulse 1, or that Nova device exists and the Pulse 1 is a different phone. We'll hopefully have more clarity about AI+'s products in the coming weeks.

Amazon launches yet another iPad Pro M4 promo you can't pass up

The ultimate iPad experience doesn't come cheap, but these Amazon deals make the latest iPad Pro M4 models a bit more affordable. Right now, the e-commerce giant offers a $100 discount on the 11-inch model, bringing the Wi-Fi-only 256GB tablet just under the $900 mark. Those who want more screen real estate aren't left out—a $199 price cut is up for grabs on the 13-inch variant. $100 off (10%) The 256GB Wi-Fi-only iPad Pro with an 11-inch display and an M4 chip is down by $100 at Amazon. This solid discount is only available on the model in Space Black. Take advantage and save before it's too late. Buy at Amazon $199 off (15%) Alternatively, you can buy the larger 13-inch iPad Pro M4 for $199 off at Amazon. This promo is available on the 256GB variant with Wi-Fi connectivity in Silver and brings the ~$1,300 tablet just under the $1,100 mark. Buy at Amazon While these aren't the best discounts we've ever seen, they're the only deals available right now. We've checked and found no matching promos at Best Buy and Walmart. And let's be fair: this Apple tablet still delivers massive value for the dual-layered OLED panels and Ultra Retina XDR (i.e., 120Hz refresh rate), this slate delivers stunning visuals, excellent color accuracy, and sufficient brightness for comfortable outdoor use. As you probably know, all other iPads have more modest 60Hz displays, making this one stand out even more. It's not just the display that impresses. We've tested this device extensively (see our iPad Pro M4 review for reference) and found the M4 chip delivers a huge performance boost over the previous model. Needless to say, the tablet is virtually unstoppable, and chances are you'll have a hard time finding an app that can slow it down. Battery life is just as good, by the way. You can expect the larger size to last almost 11 hours with nonstop web browsing and over eight hours with video streaming. All of that, combined with some Apple Intelligence features, make the iPad Pro M4 simply the best iPad money can buy. Undeniably pricey, the iPad Pro M4 still checks all the boxes you could possibly want in an iOS tablet. Plus, both sizes are a bit more affordable than usual thanks to Amazon's latest deals. Get the model that fits you best and save before it's too late.

Google tries to stay one step ahead of ad-blocking YouTube users

Last year Google decided to get tough against YouTube users who were deploying ad blockers while streaming videos on the app. Those blocking ads are blocked from watching the video they selected until the ad blocker is disabled. Google says that preventing ads from playing on YouTube violates its Terms of Service. Even though Google does a good job of catching those violating its ToS, there are several ways that YouTube viewers can escape having to play ads. Some of these options that were used to escape YouTube ads, such as uBlock Origin and AdBlock, are no longer working according to Reddit users. Some uBlock Origin users said that Embed. This is actually the process we use when embedding YouTube videos in our articles but apparently it can be used as a workaround to defeat Google's ad blocker video ban. There is a back and forth between those who block ads on YouTube and Google as one Redditor wrote, " i="" know="" it's="" pretty="" annoying, every="" few="" months="" we="" have="" to="" figure="" out="" work="" arounds="" this="" shit."="" another="" typed,="" "yep:="" cat,="" mouse,="" repeat."="" [img="" center="" inline="" [[431155]]:"some="" youtube="" users="" with="" an="" ad="" blocker="" enabled="" are="" seeing="" box="" or="" a="" black="" page.="" |="" image="" credit-android="" authority"="" ]="" some="" losing="" the="" ability="" view="" videos="" because="" of="" their="" blockers="" huge="" put="" up="" on="" screen="" by="" google="" in="" place="" video.="" white="" text="" used="" against="" background,="" heading="" says,="" "ad="" not="" allowed="" youtube."="" it="" follows="" through="" adding:="" looks="" like="" you="" may="" be="" using="" blocker.="" ads="" allow="" billions="" nationwide.="" can="" go="" ad-free="" premium,="" and="" creators="" still="" get="" paid="" from="" your="" subscription.="" others="" see="" blank="" instead="" box.="" either="" way,="" results="" same.="" these="" being="" penalized="" for="" stopping="" collecting="" revenue="" shown="" before="" during="" they="" viewing.="" so="" battle="" here="" between="" who="" prefer="" feel="" forced="" watch="" viewing="" video="" want="" stream.="" is="" able="" make="" things="" difficult="" them="" constantly="" upgrading="" its="" capabilities="" detect="" punishing="" doing="" so.="" might="" upper="" hand="" now="" but="" most="" reddit="" believe="" apps="" will="" eventually="" find="" way="" block="" google's="" ads."="" class="external" target="_blank">they can still view videos even if Google is blocking them by tapping on Share > Embed . This is actually the process we use when embedding YouTube videos in our articles but apparently, it can be used as a workaround to defeat Google's ad blocker video ban. There is a back and forth between those who block ads on YouTube and Google as one Redditor wrote, "I know it's pretty annoying, every few months we have to figure out workarounds [around] this shit." Another typed, "Yep: cat, mouse, repeat." Some YouTube users with an ad blocker enabled are seeing this box or a black page. | Image credit-Android Authority Some losing the ability to view YouTube videos because of their ad blockers are seeing a huge black box put up on the screen by Google in place of a video. With white text used against a black background, the heading says, "Ad Blockers are not allowed on YouTube." It follows through by adding: It looks like you may be using an ad blocker. Ads allow YouTube to be used by billions nationwide. You can go ad-free with YouTube Premium, and creators can still get paid from your subscription. Others see a blank screen instead of a black box. Either way, the results are the same. These YouTube users are being penalized for stopping Google from collecting revenue on the ads shown before and during the videos they are viewing. So we have a battle here between Google and YouTube users who prefer not to feel forced to watch ads before viewing the video they want to stream. Google is able to make things difficult for them by constantly upgrading its capabilities to detect who is using an ad blocker and punishing them for doing so. Google might have the upper hand now but most on Reddit believe the ad blocker apps will eventually find a way to block Google's YouTube ads.
