SAN JOSE, Calif. - Six people were injured during a car crash overnight on Saturday after a car that had been reported stolen crashed into another.
Some involved in the crash, including minors, sustained life-threatening injuries.
The backstory
The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office said that around 2:20 a.m., deputies spotted a stolen silver Infiniti on King and Marbury Road. Before they could initiate a traffic stop, the stolen car sped off.
Officials said deputies did not pursue the car.
Eventually, the stolen Infiniti, with at least four people inside, crashed into a Ford Fusion at the McKee Road and Jackson Avenue intersection.

According to San Jose police, the occupants of the Ford were a man and a woman.
The Ford Fusion occupants were taken to a hospital with moderate to major, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Two of the occupants of the stolen Infiniti sustained life-threatening injuries. One of them remains in critical condition.
The other two occupants received non-life-threatening injuries.
Roads were closed for a couple of hours as sheriff's deputies and San Jose police officers worked the scene to gather evidence.
What we don't know
It's unclear how many of the occupants of the stolen Infiniti are minors. Neither the sheriff's office nor San Jose police specified their ages nor if they were the occupants who sustained life-threatening injuries.
It's also unclear if one of the minors was the driver of the stolen Infiniti.

Orbeez gun leads to aggravated assault arrest in Siloam Springs
Siloam Springs, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A Gentry man was arrested on May 31 after allegedly pointing a toy gun at a woman in Siloam Springs, according to court documents. Donnovan Hayes, 18, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault. No formal charges have been filed as of June 5. According to a probable cause affidavit, police responded around 4:31 p.m. to a report of an individual with a gun in Siloam Springs. Officers found gray Ford Fusion matching the suspect vehicle description at the scene. After being briefly held at gunpoint, all three occupants in the Ford were detained without incident. A white object resembling a firearm, later identified as an Orbeez gun, fell from the vehicle as one person exited, according to the affidavit. An alleged victim, parked nearby, told police the front passenger, Hayes, pointed what appeared to be a gun at them, leaving her and her children frightened. According to the affidavit, that Hayes denied pointing the gun at the victim. Spring Valley woman injured in two-vehicle crash near Racine
Jun. 5—A Spring Valley woman was injured Wednesday not long after noon resulting from a two-vehicle crash on Highway 63. Kassandra Lynn Johnson was traveling eastbound on Mower County Road 2 in a 2018 Ford Fusion while a semi tractor/truck driven by Emrakh Farkhadinovich Tairov, of Kent, Washington was traveling southbound on Highway 63 when the two vehicles collided at the intersection, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Johnson was transported to St. Mary's Hospital Rochester with non-life threatening injuries. Tairov was uninjured. The Mower County Sheriff's Office, Grand Meadow Police Department, Grand Meadow Fire and Rescue/EMT and Mayo Ambulance responded.
