Caitlin Clark's Response To Sophie Cunningham's Swimsuit Photo Is Going Viral
Caitlin Clark's Response To Sophie Cunningham's Swimsuit Photo Is Going Viral originally appeared on The Spun. Before the Indiana Fever suffered a 100-91 loss to the Los Angeles Sparks on Tuesday night, Caitlin Clark's teammates decided to soak up the sun. Leading up to the Fever-Sparks game, Fever guard Sophie Cunningham shared a video of her and Lexie Hull tanning by a pool. Her TikTok post included this caption: "We are off to our game tonight. Convince us there's a swimsuit brand that wants to partner with two Indiana Fever mermaids." Cunningham and Hull combined for 8 points, 3 assists and 3 rebounds during Tuesday's loss. That's not the type of production Indiana expects from these sharpshooting guards, that's for sure. Although she replied before the Fever fell short to the Sparks on Tuesday, Clark called out her teammates for tanning prior to tipoff. "Swimsuit brands plz comment 'focus on basketball,'" Clark wrote in response to Cunningham's TikTok post. This comment from Clark received over 19,700 likes in less than 24 hours. Cunningham didn't just go viral Tuesday night because of her TikTok post. She was nearly struck by a sex toy at Arena. This happened as she was standing by the free throw line. "I was thinking about like, if someone threw that thing and like, first of all, the bounce that that thing had, if that smacks someone in the face, you know that's gonna be plastered everywhere," Cunningham previously said on her podcast. Last week, the WNBA called out its fans for throwing objects onto the court. Another comment may have to be released after the Fever-Sparks incident. "The safety and well-being of everyone in our arenas is a top priority for our league," the WNBA said in a statement. "Objects of any kind thrown onto the court or in the seating area can pose a safety risk for players, game officials, and fans. In line with WNBA Arena Security Standards, any fan who intentionally throws an object onto the court will be immediately ejected and face a minimum one-year ban in addition to being subject to arrest and prosecution by local authorities." Cunningham and the Fever will be back in action Thursday night against the Phoenix Mercury. Fever's Soph and Lex flaunt chiseled abs in string bikinis, Caitlin comments
Fever's Soph and Lex flaunt chiseled abs in string bikinis, Caitlin comments originally appeared on The Sporting News Indiana Fever teammates and friends — two of the three so-called 'Tres Leches' with Caitlin Clark — Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull rested before their away game against the Los Angeles Sparks. The sun-soaked and happy athletes flaunted their chiseled abs and flawless athletic physiques while smiling at the pool. 'Go Fev show!!!' Cunningham, 28, captioned her Tuesday, August 5 TikTok video. 'Game day.' She followed with a bikini and basketball emoji. 'We are off to our game tonight,' she wrote over the share. 'Convince us there's a swimsuit brand that wants to partner with two Indiana Fever mermaids.' Caitlin Clark — who is not nearly as active on social media as her friends — left a response that left fans in stitches. 'Swimsuit brands plz comment 'focus on basketball,'' Clark wrote. And fans went wild. 'I can hear CC yelling from the poolside 'less tan, ladies!'' quipped one. 'Hahahhaha this is gold,' wrote another. 'Cooked by CC,' laughed a third. 'CC in the comments roasting y'all more than the sun is [fire emoji],' added a fourth. Cunningham roasted Clark for being "pale" in response, but later deleted it. The Fever ended up losing to the Sparks 91 to 100, but not before some on-court drama made headlines. Cunningham — who's made a name for herself as Clark's enforcer — was hit on the arm by a neon green dildo thrown onto the court by fan. According to video of the incident shown on multiple outlets, Cunningham laughed it off despite publicly begging fans to stop the awkward trend before someone gets hurt. Read More!
