Millions of Freeview watchers must re-scan their TV boxes to receive new movie channel and more big changes
THREE big changes are happening on Freeview this month including the arrival of a new channel.
To take advantage of updates - and to ensure you're not missing your favourite shows - you might need to re-scan your TV or box.

Freeview is used in around 16million homes across the UK.
And much like Sky and Virgin Media, the line-up of channels is constantly evolving.
Last month we saw the arrival of a new music channel, as well as a news channel and another dedicated to religion.
For April, there's just one new channel joining the TV planner and it's dedicated to movies.
The channel is called Nolly Africa which showcases the best in Nollywood cinema.
It's been around as part of the Channelbox service on 271 for sometime now but this month it'll have its own dedicated slot on Freeview.
Viewers can find it on 593.
However, it remains a streamed channel rather than needing an aerial, so you'll need to ensure your Freeview TV or box is connected to the internet via a broadband ethernet cable or Wi-Fi.
Elsewhere, Christian radio station Trans World Radio has left Freeview.
This means the slot it occupied at channel 733 is now empty.
More channel closures 'inevitable'
An industry expert told The Sun that more channel closures are likely in 2025 and beyond.
"This is inevitable, more broadcasters will cull broadcast/linear TV channels as viewers are flocking to streaming services," Paolo Pescatore from PP Foresight said.
"The big TV switch off is around the corner, with all programming set to be delivered via the internet.
"Viewers are now spoilt for choice with how and where they watch the TV shows they love across a range of connected devices.
"To respond, broadcasters need to be prepared and work more closely with telecom providers to ensure a seamless experience for users."

Finally, RXTVInfo reports that Alaraby Network has made some technical changes to its broadcasting.
This means that it will have less coverage across the country than it did before.
For those where local TV services are available, you can still find Alaraby Network on channel 264.
Which channels could be axed next?
Analysis by Jamie Harris, Assistant Technology and Science Editor at The Sun
The BBC announced in 2022 that CBBC and BBC Four would disappear as traditional linear channels in a few years and go digital only via iPlayer.
However, the pair may have had a bit of a reprieve for now, after the BBC's head of children's programmes, Patricia Hildago, recently said "it's really important… that if children still need us on a linear network, we're going to be there for them".
When Channel 4 announced the closure of The Box and other music channels it owned last year, the broadcaster hinted that more could come.
At the time the company said it was proposing to "close small linear channels that no longer deliver revenues or public value at scale, including the Box channels in 2024 and others at the right time".
So which could the "others" be? It really depends what Channel 4 considers "small" but its other channels include More4, E4, E4 Extra, Film4 and 4Seven.

Dan Osborne 1-word reply to Jacqueline Jossa amid Christine McGuinness text row
Reality star Dan Osborne seems to be working hard to win over his wife Jacqueline Jossa again after his texts to ex-model and singleton Christine McGuinness were revealed Towie star Dan Osbourne has never shied away from a series of marital mishaps, and his most recent one involved the ex-wife of TV presenter Paddy McGuinness. The 33-year-old has been adamant that nothing happened romantically between the two and has suggested that these texts were "deep fakes" or even AI. Alongside the alleged flirty messages, the model has shared that Dan had joined her for some nights out to help and lift her spirits after a difficult divorce from her husband. It's thought that the two were comforting one another amidst issues with their marriages. Now, after the texts were unveiled, Jaqueline posted a glamorous photo of her on Instagram, attending the British Soap Awards 2025, and Dan responded with a public comment. Beneath the post of her stunning in a long black gown, the reality star simply commented: "Beautiful!', which received hundreds of likes. At the time of his interactions with the model, it's believed that Dan was still building bridges with his wife, Jacqueline, facing the heat of previous cheating rumours. To add further speculation, earlier this year, The Sun reported that the reality star had in fact moved out of his family home, which he shares with his actress wife, and into a secret place of his own. A supposed source close to Christine said: "She is absolutely adamant nothing sexual happened between them. She also was 100 per cent single at the time and could chat to anyone she wanted," The Sun reported. Meanwhile a friend of Dan's, according to The Sun, shared: 'Dan is devoted to Jacqueline and would hate for any suggestion of impropriety. Of course, it's possible for a man and woman to be mates.' The famous couple first met back in 2013 at an awards ceremony, and by 2014, the two announced that they were having a baby together. Then after the birth of their daughter Ella, the pair got engaged and soon tied the knot at Cheshire Manor House in 2017. However, it wasn't long until things seemed to go downhill, and the two decided to split when Jacqueline was pregnant with their second child together. By the time their baby was born, rumours began to swirl about Dan's fling with Love Island star Gabby Allen, and later, when the two got back together, another ex-Islander, Alexandra Cane. Meanwhile it's been confirmed that the two are still together and that Dan's secret 'lad pad' was in fact just a property investment for financial purposes. Christine, on the other hand, is still amicably living with her ex-husband and has been on a journey of her own recently with the success of her documentary about her struggles with autism. It's believed that the star has recently pulled out of the popular Channel 4 dating show Celebs Go Dating, which comes after her recent relationship confession. Christine has revealed that despite her 11-year marriage to Paddy McGuinness, since she was a teenager, she has been interested in both men and women.

Freddy Brazier heading to rehab to 'get clean' for heartbreaking reason
Freddy told followers he's been 'smoking' since the age of 12 and wants to focus on getting healthy in happy at a Spanish rehab centre. Freddy Brazier has revealed he's going to Spanish rehab. The youngest son of the late Jade Goody and TV presenter Jeff Brazier has been in the headlines of late after reports his relationship with his family has become so strained that he's been living with grandmother Jackiey Budden. Freddy, 20, took to Instagram to share an update with followers on Friday. He said he wants to mend fences with people, focus on his health after revealing he's been "smoking" since the age of 12, and work on being happy. Freddy stated: "I've decided that I will be cutting down and I want to go to Rehab In Marbs as I feel if I'm in England I won't take getting clean seriously. I've been smoking from the age of 12 and it's time to stop. It was a bad coping mechanism that turned into an addiction, something I relied on and something that made me feel sane and some what OK. "I've found a boxing club and a rehabilitation centre. Ive found someone I want to get to know and I'm happy. I got a good bunch of friends and I [want to] get out and enjoy myself. "I want to be clean so I can live happily and have healthy relationships with people and be there for all of my family rather then feeling like I'm in the middle and have to choose a side." He added: "I haven't been able to feel loved properly as I have never loved myself and it starts now. I want to play football and take up boxing I want to be happy and be in a healthy relationship and have a healthy relationship with my Nana and my father. "Every day is a new story about me and my Nana and father. It's getting boring now. Mind your business and have a good rest of the week x." Earlier this week we reported Freddy's dad Jeff was said to have reportedly set a court date to stop Freddy from seeing his gran Jackiey - who is the mum of the late Jade. This comes as recent pictures emerged of the pair smoking together in London. Jeff had two sons with the Big Brother star - Bobby, 21, and Freddy, 20. The presenter is now trying to block contact between Freddy and Jackiey, but his youngest son had been seen to be spending time with his gran despite this dad's concerns. Back in March, it was reported that Jeff had launched legal proceedings to stop the family members meeting with each other. However, this has not seemed to help the relationship between the father and son. Freddy has been previously reported to have a 'secret feud' with his dad, which has led to him 'storming out the house' after arguments and choosing to stay at Jackiey's flat in southeast London while he settles down. Jeff also revealed on Celebrity Race Around The World that he doesn't see Freddy much as the 20-year-old "isn't at home loads". In photos revealed by The Sun, Freddy and Jackiey, 68, were seen together by the Thames in South London. In the snaps, it appears that the pair were smoking what looked like a joint. It was also reported that Jeff has a court date set to stop Freddy seeing his granny due to concerns about his welfare. A source said: "These pictures show exactly why Jeff is so worried about his son. "Jackiey's influence over Freddy is harmful to his overall wellbeing. It's very sad that a grandmother would want to encourage her grandson to do something that could potentially be so damaging." Sources have also claimed that last year arguments between the father and son got so tense that Freddy would reportedly storm out to go to his nan's.
