Wagmatcook man wanted for sexual assault arrested: N.S. RCMP
A Nova Scotia man who was wanted on a provincewide warrant for sexual assault has been arrested.
The RCMP said on July 10 it was looking for 43-year-old Michael Francis Isadore of Wagmatcook, N.S.
Isadore is facing the following charges:
sexual assault
sexual interference
administration of a noxious thing
aggravated assault
mischief
Police said Wednesday that Isadore has been found and safely arrested, but didn't release any additional details.
'The RCMP would like to thank the public for their support in locating and arresting Isadore,' said the RCMP in a news release.

The court order is used when police believe someone is likely to commit a terrorism offence, even if there are no reasonable grounds to believe one has already occurred. It was granted Aug. 18 after police began the process earlier this year. ADVERTISEMENT In February, Queen's District RCMP responded to information that 50-year-old Daniel Desmond Crowder was making threats online. He was arrested at his home, where police executed a search warrant and seized several weapons and 3D-printed firearm parts. He was released in July under strict conditions. Crowder now faces eight charges, including uttering threats, as well as manufacturing and possessing prohibited weapons. 'The facts surrounding those charges are for the court to hear,' said Cpl. Gavin Moore, a media relations officer with the P.E.I. RCMP. 'But what I can say is that, given some of the content of what Mr. Crowder spoke about online, there is not a specific target.' Moore said the case is unusual for the province. It's the first-time charges have been laid in P.E.I. related to the manufacturing of firearms, and only the second time in at least 15 years that a terrorism peace bond has been granted. Crowder will appear in front of the province's Supreme Court on Sept. 9. P.E.I. Provincial Crown prosecutor John Diamond is handling the case. Terrorism peace bonds in Canada Back in December, a minor in Newmarket, Ont., was placed under a terrorism peace bond after the RCMP feared they could commit a terrorist offence. Details in that case are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. In June 2024, a Saskatchewan youth was also made subject to a terrorism peace bond following an investigation by the RCMP Federal Policing Northwest Region's National Security Enforcement Section (NSES.)

West Kelowna acupuncturist charged with sexual assault
Social Sharing RCMP say an acupuncturist in West Kelowna, B.C., has been charged with sexual assault, and they're appealing for more witnesses to come forward. Police say 65-year-old Dong Lin was arrested in late January over allegations received earlier that month. RCMP say Lin has been released from custody under conditions ordering him not to treat female clients in a one-on-one setting. Devon Gerrits, a spokesperson with West Kelowna RCMP, says allegations of sexual assault against someone providing massage services are "extremely concerning." Gerrits says that, although a charge has been laid, a photo of the man has been released to the public as investigators urge more people with information to contact them. The College of Complementary Health Professionals of B.C. says in a notice dated Feb. 21 that a man with the same name has been banned from treating female patients. According to the notice, Lin was ordered to provide the college electronic access to his calendar of patients due to allegations of misconduct. The college says the order was made after a complaint from a female patient.
