
Ares Management Prices First European Direct Lending CLO at £305 Million
LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jun 9, 2025--
Ares Management Corporation (NYSE: ARES) ('Ares'), a leading global alternative investment manager, announced today the pricing of its first European Direct Lending Collateralized Loan Obligation ('CLO'), Ares European Direct Lending CLO 1, at £305 million. Ares believes this is the first reinvesting CLO in the European Direct Lending market and is one of the first direct lending CLOs issued in Europe.
Ares European Direct Lending CLO 1 is a diversified CLO comprised entirely of directly originated and actively managed loans issued by over 50 middle-market companies based in the United Kingdom, primarily operating in defensive industries. The CLO, which is weighted towards senior-secured floating rate loans, will be rated by S&P and KBRA.

Germany's SEFE to Announce 10-Year Deal For Gas From Azerbaijan
Germany's state-owned SEFE is expected to announce a 10-year deal to buy gas from Azerbaijan's state-owned Socar, according to people familiar with the matter. The agreement, which begins immediately, allows the German trading company to buy as much as 15 terawatt-hours of gas per year, the people said, speaking on condition of anonymity. That's equivalent to about 1.5 billion cubic meters per year. The gas is likely to reach Europe via the Trans Adriatic Pipeline, two of the people said. TAP, crosses Northern Greece, Albania and the Adriatic Sea before coming ashore in southern Italy.
