When King Charles gets up in the morning, what tunes does he select to start his day?
It's a mix of genres across decades, according to a new Apple Music broadcast show and playlist the monarch has curated – from reggae legend Bob Marley to the more recently Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter RAYE.
'Throughout my life, music has meant a great deal to me. I know that is also the case for so many others,' the King says in the opening remarks of the broadcast, recorded at Buckingham Palace and scheduled to air March 10 to mark Commonwealth Day.

'But perhaps, above all, it can lift our spirits to such a degree, and all the more so when it brings us together in celebration. In other words, it brings us joy.'
His Apple playlist also includes other familiar names such as Kylie Minogue, Grace Jones and Davido.
Besides the music itself, the King also shares 'anecdotes about his encounters with some of the artists featured and reveals why the songs help form the soundtrack to his life,' according to the press release.
In a video message released on Apple's website, Charles explained his love of music spliced with footage from a royal brass band playing a rendition of Bob Marley and the Wailers' 'Could You Be Loved' outside Buckingham Palace.
Listeners can tune in on Apple Music 1 throughout Monday and Tuesday.

Grammy winner Chubby Carrier to talk zydeco at free event The dinner theatre shows will be in a different location this year due to the current system remodel of A.A. Fredericks Auditorium. 'This has allowed us to take a different approach to the show,' said Director Robert Richoux. 'The show will take place at The Venue on Front Street, which means there is no stage, and the cast will be in and out of the audience to make you feel even more connected and immersed in the world of the play.' 'I Love You to Death: A Speakeasy Mystery' was written by Robert J. Leblanc. 'In the play, a boxer, a gangster, a rival, a tortured vaudevillian, a woman on the prowl, and a pair of star-crossed lovers enter the Irish Lyon Social Club. Who will leave the speakeasy alive? The jazz plays, illegal liquor flows, and the bodies and suspects start piling up in this tale of crooked deals, jilted lovers, betrayal, and mayhem. Miley Cyrus Makes A Shocking Confession About Past Drug Use
is opening up about one of the wildest chapters in her life, and the creative ways she kept her drug use under wraps. The Grammy-winning singer revealed during her candid appearance on the "Every Single Album" podcast Friday that she used to lie to her accountant about where her money was going while working on her 2015 psychedelic album, "Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz." Cyrus confessed that her 'biggest cost' at the time wasn't production, promotion, or wardrobe. It was drugs. 'We called them vintage clothes,' she admitted with a laugh. 'And every time [my accountant] saw me, she'd be like, 'Where's that, like, $15,000 original John Lennon T-shirt that you bought?' It's like, 'Oh, it's upstairs.'' To keep suspicions at bay, the "Flowers" singer said she'd claim the expensive items were being stored away for preservation. 'They're really delicate,' she'd explain. 'I want to protect them.' 'So I bought a lot of vintage clothes that year,' Cyrus added playfully. But behind the jokes lies a hard truth. Reflecting on her past substance use, the "We Can't Stop" star admitted, 'I'm so glad I survived that time in my life.' While she doesn't glamorize the behavior, she acknowledged her own journey with gratitude. 'I would definitely not encourage anyone else to go this hard," she said. I mean, performing 'The Best of Both Worlds' between 'We Can't Stop' and 'Wrecking Ball' wouldn't have really made sense,' she said. 'But it was still sad knowing those songs have my voice, my face, and I wasn't allowed to sing them.' That restriction has since been lifted. After being honored as a Disney Legend last year, Cyrus said she now has the green light to revisit her "Hannah Montana" catalog whenever she chooses. 'It's pretty cool,' she added. After rising to fame on Disney Channel, Miley Cyrus made headlines for shedding her squeaky-clean image. Her transformation sparked widespread controversy, particularly following her provocative 2013 MTV Video Music Awards performance, where she infamously twerked on during "Blurred Lines." She also faced criticism for appropriating Black culture during her "Bangerz" era, especially for using Black dancers as props in performances and music videos.
