TV Guides stars Jonathon and Danielle Fren reveal their very unconventional 'part-time marriage'
But the stars of Nine's Travel Guides insist that their arrangement works perfectly for them.
The pair, who have been married for five years, are apart for six months of the year, with Jono away with filming commitments for the rest of the time.
'I'm very grateful that Danielle does let me do Travel Guides every year, because I know it's a big commitment and I am away for a long time,' Jono tells Woman's Day.
Danielle added: 'Maybe that's why our marriage works so well: because we only have to put up with each other for half the year!'

Their unusual arrangement won't be ending any time soon if Jono gets his way.
'I just want to keep doing it as long as Channel Nine want me,' he said.
'It's a great show to be a part of and the crew and the other cast members are great. It's definitely a dream gig. I'm very, very lucky'.
It comes after a gorgeous apartment owned by the Fren family hit the market.
Situated in Newcastle, NSW, the three-bedroom, three-bathroom high-rise pad is listed with a price guide of $2,900,000 – $3,150,000.
Located on the fifth storey of a prestigious block a stone's throw from the harbour, the beautiful flat boasts stunning city views.
Domain reported on that the Frens - Mark, Cathy, Jonathan and Victoria - have used the city central apartment as a 'home base' ever since they debuted on the lifestyle show in 2017.
Still, the family won't be heading far - Mark shared on social media that the family have plans to stay in Newcastle.
Impressive in its dimensions and featuring a thoughtful layout, the Frens flat features a spacious covered private balcony that can double as an alfresco dining area.
Other features include a combined kitchen and dining area that opens out to an entertainment deck.
There's also a private lounge and a master bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe.
Amenities in the well-appointed block include a BBQ terrace, pool and gym.
Originally from Newcastle, the Frens family won fame for their outspoken opinions on Nine's Travel Guides which debuted in 2017.
Centred on 'ordinary Aussies' who take on the role of 'travel critics', the show reviews famous and far-flung tourist destinations.
The Frens - primary school teachers Mark and Cathy and hospitality workers Jono and Vic - are known for their distaste of harsh conditions.

Bec Judd is mocked for shaving her legs in the supermarket aisle in cringe Coles promo
Bec Judd has copped some gentle ribbing from fans after sharing a cringeworthy Coles promo. The football WAG and influencer, 42, took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a clip that showed her spruiking Gem Personal Care products, which are sold in the supermarket chain. The clip showed Bec swanning into her local Coles supermarket in Brighton, decked out in a sleeveless black hooded top and form-fitting black gym shorts. She went 'bougie' for her sponsored shopping trip too, accessorising with a Louis Vuitton bag slung over her shoulder. Bec then walked down one aisle, where she found an array of Gem deodorants. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Without hesitation, she picked up a couple of cans and proceeded to liberally spray their contents on her underarms. She did something similar with a bottle of Gem body mist, spritzing up a storm in the aisle. Bec's public personal grooming didn't end there, as she discovered the company's grooming range. She proceeded to take a can of shaving gel and lather a healthy portion over her lithe legs before shaving her pins in-store. 'I couldn't help myself,' she said in the clip, while offering the camera a cheeky wink. Bec's public preening was met with some low-key mockery from fans, with one commenting: 'the shave mid aisle hahahaha.' Another questioned Bec's decision to step out in such skimpy attire during inclement weather. 'You're shopping in tiny shorts and a T in 10-degree weather,' they wrote with a raised eyebrow emoji. Others, however, praised Bec for her mid-aisle leg shave, with one fan adding: 'Shaving in the aisle is a mood.' Another admitted that Bec's display had the desired effect with: 'Great promo!!!! Great humour!! So I'm going to Coles immediately.' In April, Bec fired up about the unrealistic beauty standards foisted upon women of a certain age in the public eye. 'I am around the same age as Lindsay (Lohan), Anne (Hathaway) and Hilary (Duff). For the record, I think they look unreal,' she began in several fiery Instagram posts. 'Beauty standards for women are just impossible. If you show signs of ageing, you have let yourself go. 'If you look too fresh-faced for your age, you are accused of getting work done and blamed for promoting vanity when you should just be comfortable with growing old and looking old. '"Oh but yuk", society says, "women shouldn't look old." And so the cycle continues. Women can't win.' Bec has long been a beacon of ageless beauty, spruiking skincare brands, facials, and non-surgical treatments for her plump visage. For two decades, she has denied having any plastic surgery or cosmetic procedures done, instead pointing to healthy living and expensive skincare as her saving grace.

Aussie TV star hospitalised with scary health issue
Former Bachelor star Lisa Hyde has been rushed to hospital after collapsing at her home. The Aussie TV star shared a photo to Instagram on Tuesday while in a neck brace and lying in a hospital bed after being diagnosed with Crowned Dens Syndrome (CDS). CDS is a rare condition leading to neck pain and stiffness after too many calcium deposits form on the bone's surrounding ligaments. 'Sometimes you don't choose the break, the break chooses you. I've been constantly pushing myself and my body just couldn't keep up,' she wrote. 'Grateful for the wakeup call and the chance to slow down and reset (although next time I'd appreciate a beach somewhere in Europe.' Lisa also shared a video surrounded by family in hospital and said: 'We are staying positive! 'I have a good cheer squad keeping me entertained with dance performances, snacks, cute giggles, and mum's new zumba moves. Laughter really is the best medicine.' Lisa revealed she had been rushed to hospital earlier this week after collapsing in her home. 'Went to hospital and they said it was just muscular, but I knew something wasn't right,' she said. 'Got home, then collapsed a couple hours later. My parents found me on the floor, barely able to talk or move. The pain was unbearable.' She later explained: 'They're now treating me for something called crowned dens syndrome.' 'It's a rare condition where uric acid crystals build up in the spine causing intense neck and head pain.' Lisa shot to fame on Blake Garvey's 2014 season of The Bachelor. After failing to find love, she briefly returned to reality TV in 2018 on the first season of Bachelor In Paradise. Shortly after her split from co-star Luke McLeod, Lisa found love with Damon Collina and they welcomed daughter Myja-Jae in July 2019. At the time, Lisa admitted the difficulty in balancing motherhood with a burgeoning business empire. 'I used to think I was so busy before I became a mum,' she told Daily Mail Australia. 'I had no idea!' 'In the first three months of having MJ, I was lucky enough to find time in the day to shower or do anything for myself really - that part they don't tell you,' Lisa added. 'For me, the key to juggling "mum life" and running a business is having a good routine and surrounding myself with people you can trust and rely on.'

Poh Ling Yeow struggles to hold back tears on MasterChef as she bids farewell to contestant Andre Ursini
An emotional Poh Ling Yeow struggled to hold back tears on Tuesday's MasterChef Australia as she bid farewell to contestant Andre Ursini. Andre appeared alongside Poh on the inaugural MasterChef season back in 2009. However, his second chance at success was foiled after he lost a Pressure Test that tasked Andre and fellow contestants Alanah Lowes and Snezana Calic with recreating an ornate dessert by renowned pastry chef Philip Khoury. When it came time for Andre to make his exit, judge Poh became emotional when reflecting on the journey that she and Andre had started together. 'Andre, we started this journey together – whoa – 16 years ago,' Poh said, with tears welling in her eyes. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'For the past 16 years, I've watched you not only become a really brilliant cook and an amazing entrepreneur, but an amazing husband and dad.' An emotional Poh added that having the chance to see Andre in the MasterChef kitchen again was a pleasure. 'It's been so nice and fun to be back in the kitchen with you,' she said. 'I love that you've always marched to the beat of your own drum.' Poh then lightened the mood, joking: 'Even though sometimes I do – no I don't, I really don't.' Obviously touched by Poh's heartwarming tribute, Andre wasn't shy about returning the compliments. 'I was pretty inspired that first time I walked in – seeing my mate in the bright shining light where she belongs,' he said. Andre continued to heap praise on the MasterChef judge saying: 'Poh is a jewel in the crown of the Australian culinary scene.' 'She's one of the most genuine and unique individuals that we've all been around. 'She's basically going to start levitating any year now,' he joked. Speaking to camera after making his emotional exit, Andre was philosophical about his elimination, despite being 'devastated.' 'Being eliminated, I'm devastated, but I've come so far in the competition,' he said. 'It's taken me 16 years to re-emerge – I came in here with no expectations and got to top ten. He added: 'I'm feeling pretty invigorated. I've rediscovered my passion for cooking after all these years and, from now on until the time I die, I'm going to keep cooking.' Poh also repeated her sentiment on Instagram, commenting under a post on the MasterChef page about Andre's exit. 'This is very hard for me to say, but I'm super proud of you,' she wrote. 'It has shaved 2 years off my life with every pressure test I've had to watch u do so that adds up to 6 years, which is very expensive for my well being. 'I love the conviction and stoicism with which you walk through life. See you on the flip side.' Fans also flooded to the comments to echo Poh's words, with many praising Andre as their favourite contestant. 'Dammit. I'm sobbing,' one wrote. 'So sad you've gone Andre. What an absolute joy you are.' Another chimed in with a similar: 'So sad to see that one of my favourites has left. You are a joy to watch Andre. You're amazing and always full of energy and humour. You will be missed.' Andre appeared alongside 19 hopefuls, including Poh and Julie Goodwin, on the inaugural MasterChef season in 2009. He was eliminated while Julie and Poh went on to claim winner and runner-up titles, respectively.
