STV's new radio station appoints programme director
David Treasurer, based in Renfrew, will join STV's newly announced national station as the programme director after serving BBC Scotland as the senior creative (audio) for the last decade.
Based in Glasgow's Pacific Quay, the new mainstream music station, aimed at the 35-54 age group, promises to be an exciting addition to the radio landscape, and will be available on DAB and online.

Its name and key presenters are due to be announced later this year.
David's experience in both commercial and public service broadcasting is said to be a valuable asset for the fledgling station.
David has previously worked as the managing editor at Global Radio, Scotland, shaping local programming strategies across Smooth, Heart, and XFM Scotland.
He has also served as the programme controller at Real Radio Scotland, where he is said to have created "market-leading and award-winning" content.
David said: "I'm thrilled to be joining STV and can't wait to start creating the sound, content strategy, and programming for a station that I believe can truly entertain and thrill audiences across Scotland.
"It's an amazing challenge and I look forward to working with a team who will deliver must-listen radio."

Graham Bryce, the managing director of audio at STV, said: "The creation of our new radio station across Scotland is a hugely exciting venture and I'm delighted that David is on board as programme director.
"David brings with him a wealth of experience across all aspects of radio programming and production and has led some of the biggest radio stations in Scotland.
"I'm excited to be building an exceptional team as we work together towards launch.'
STV's new radio station was announced as part of its wider FastFwd strategic update in May and forms part of its newly created audience division.

Brooklyn was nowhere to be seen on social media, adding fuel to the already blazing fire that the family are in the midst of a turbulent time. Taking to Instagram, he instead shared three packets of pretzel pita chips. According to sources, David never told Brooklyn about his accolade and the former aspiring chef learned about the achievement through the media. A source for Brooklyn told Page Six he was thrilled his dad was finally receiving the honour, while a source quoted as someone close to his parents told the publication: "Brooklyn told his family he wants no contact and he's not responding to those that try to connect." Yet a separate Brooklyn source denied the claim, saying: "This seems to be another deliberate attempt to misrepresent the truth, and it only serves to distract from this honour being bestowed on Brooklyn's father."

It's party time on the cobbles next week when Aadi Alahan decides to shake off his stuffy image by inviting his mates for a night to remember at number 7. But when things take a sinister turn the friends wish they could forget the night ever happened as a dramatic sequence of events rock the cobbles. With the party in full swing Aadi is furious to see Brody selling his drugs and throws him out, but after Brody has gone Summer convinces Aadi and Nina to try it as she had some in America. Aadi divides the LSD into three cups, Summer and Nina knock back theirs but Aadi is distracted by an incident and when returns, he realises someone accidentally took his drink. Meanwhile Lauren has left the house feeling unwell and finds herself in a nightmare situation, can she escape? Still high on LSD, Nina and Summer let themselves into the darkened café. When they hear the sound of sirens, they cling to each other, terrified. What's happened? As the group come to terms with the disturbing events of the evening the aftermath is felt across the neighbourhood, will the truth of what happened come out?
