Tyla's naked spiderweb dress is literally just pieces of string

Yahoo03-04-2025

It was a big night for female artists over the weekend as the likes of Tyla, Doechii, Gracie Abrams, Madison Beer and Suki Waterhouse all attended the Billboard Women in Music Awards 2025, held on Saturday evening [29 March] in Los Angeles. Obviously, a red carpet event dedicated to women is a literal fashion feast for the eyes (no shade to male celebrities, but the girls *always* bring it), and it was Tyla's arrival that truly had our jaws on the floor.
The South African singer and songwriter wowed in a Jean Paul Gaultier couture gown from the designer's spring summer 2025 collection that looked more like a spiderweb than an item of clothing. Constructed from literal pieces of black string, the dress featured a high-neck, long sleeves and floor-sweeping train entirely constructed out of woven-together thread with a shredded finish.
As a result, the dress was totally see-through and created a naked moment as Tyla went braless in the design. Additional string knotted loosely across the bust prevented a free-the-nip moment, though the black knickers she wore underneath and her belly button piercing were clearly visible in the transparent number.
Naked dressing was clearly the theme of all Tyla's ensembles at the event as she made two outfit changes throughout the evening.
Once inside the awards, Tyla opted for more casual attire, donning a blue silk shirt worn completely open paired with tiny denim micro shorts. She added an oversized brown suede jacket over the top (the outerwear is a huge 2025 trend, FYI) with a long beaded necklace adding a boho twist. She was snapped in the naked 'fit posing alongside Doechii.
Her third outfit of the night came when she took to the stage to perform her latest single Push 2 Start. For this, she opted for a deconstructed suit with sections of the blazer and trousers crafted from sheer, embroidered tulle to create see-through windows. The trousers also only featured one full-length leg with the left side cropped into shorts. Forgoing a shirt completely, Tyla wore a neon green sheer lace bra and accessorised with a long silver lariat necklace.
She may have won the Impact Award for her dedication and positive impact on the music industry during the ceremony, but we're unofficially crowning her naked dressing queen for her three stand-out looks, too.

'Daily Show' Has The Most Wicked Way GOP Can Get Back At Elon Musk's 'S**t' Talk

'Daily Show' correspondent Michael Kosta on Wednesday called out House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) over his reluctant response to Elon Musk's escalating attacks against President Donald Trump's 'big, beautiful bill.' Kosta — while teeing up a clip of Johnson's monotonous response to Musk — said Republicans turning on the bill after just one post by Musk 'must really piss off' the House speaker who 'busted his balls for months' working on it. 'Don't take that shit, Mike!' said Kosta before serving a brutal diss of the former White House adviser. 'Tell that pasty, South African, belly-flashing, sperm-fountain, absent-baby-daddy, friendless, Ziploc-bag-full-of-jizz, ketamine —.' Kosta, after pausing for applause, piled on more insults, ' — ketamine-Rasputin, dead-eye-deadbeat, DOGE-donkey, Hitler-waving, semen-distributor where he can shove his tweets! Come on!' The comedian then turned to video of Johnson's humdrum words for Musk. 'With all due respect, my friend Elon is terribly wrong about the one big, beautiful bill.' Kosta made a mockery of the response. 'Ohhhh, my God none of them are good at this,' he said. Moments earlier, he clowned Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) for her post-vote backlash against the bill Tuesday when she revealed she was 'adamantly OPPOSED' to a provision on artificial intelligence. He played a clip of Greene who, in remarks on the House floor, advised lawmakers to 'carefully' keep an eye on the bills they pass. Kosta chimed in, 'Yup, no shit!' 'I mean, congrats on coming out against a crazy thing in this bill but you weren't aware of what was in it? That's your job. This isn't book club. You can't just read the first seven pages and then be like, 'I love it, Linda, more rosé.'' Check out Kosta's Wednesday monologue on '.'

These are the shortest Love Island appearances ever, as contestant is axed before the show even starts

Love Island is about to celebrate its 10th anniversary and it appears 10 years in the show is still making history. In a first for the ITV2 show late last night (3 June) it was confirmed one of the Islanders from the initial lineup announced earlier that day had already been axed from the upcoming series. ITV confirmed Kyle Ashman would no longer be taking part in series 12 in a short statement: "For personal reasons, Kyle will not be entering the Love Island Villa as planned." It was revealed by The Sun Ashman had previously been arrested on suspicion of a machete attack. Back in February this year a man was attacked at a wake with a machete, after a number of individuals stormed the event. Ashman was one of two individuals questioned over the event, however the police confirmed to The Sun the matter had been investigated and the pair were released with no further action. Ashman has since issued a statement, telling the Daily Mail: "I fully cooperated with this police investigation and made it very clear that I had no involvement in this incident. I am not a violent person and any suggestion otherwise is a mischaracterisation." In the 10 years since the show began, Ashman has quite literally had the shortest appearance on the series. However, he's not alone as over the years there's been many micro visits to the Villa. From around twenty minutes to less than 48 hours, there's been some noticeable short stints, and we've rounded up the shortest. When Shannon entered the villa on day one of season seven back in 2021 everyone was convinced she was going to be the 'it' girl of the season. However, she made history by getting the earliest dumping of the show. It was the third day when now Love Island legend Chloe Burrows entered the Villa. On Chloe's first day she was told to pick a boy to couple up with. She chose Aaron who was with Shannon at the time. After Chloe picked Aaron, Shannon received a text saying she had been dumped from the Island. Savage. All the way back in season one, Love Island casts twins John and Tony. The pair entered the Villa early on Day 3, however just 72 hours later they were dumped from the Island after failing to make a connection. These two came, saw, dressed as firemen and left. Yep, back in series four in 2018, Kieran and Idris were late arrival bombshells so they didn't stand much of a chance. After failing to form any connections they were dumped together just three days after they arrived together. Ollie stared in the first series of Winter Love Island, but clearly didn't like the South African sun as he chose to quit the Villa just three days into his stay. He said he realised he still had feelings for his ex-girlfriend Laura, and it was clearly the right decision as the pair are now married. David arrived for the second Winter Love Island series in 2023, but didn't stay for long. He entered alongside Zara Lackenby-Brown on Day 3, but while Zara went onto stay for a few more weeks, David was dumped just two days into his stay after he failed to make a connection with any of the Islanders. Chuggs first appeared on Love Island back in 2021 in season seven. However, just as he arrived so two did new bombshell Rachel Finni who was tasked with picking between Chuggs and Brad. After she picked Brad, it meant Chuggs was dumped from the Island. Chuggs managed to stay slightly longer when he appeared on Love Island All Stars this year, where he appeared for a full week, but still didn't manage to make a connection. Back in series two James had one of the shortest stints on the series. He entered on day 18 and expressed his interest in Kady McDermott, who was not interested and two days later James was out. Season seven had quite it's fair share of short appearances, and the shortest of these goes to Georgia Townend. She arrived on Love Island on day 23 and tried to crack on with Hugo Hammond. However, Hugo wasn't really interested and so with no other connections forming, Georgia left the villa during a dumping on day 25. Ben and Poppy arrived towards the end of series one on day 32 and less than 24 hours later they were dumped from the Island. Ok so does anyone recognise this guy? He appeared in season two and arrived on day 30 and was then dumped a day later. Up until Kyle Ashman, Malia held the title for shortest Love Island appearance of all time. She arrived for season two and took Scott Thomas on a date. When they returned to the villa, Malia met Kady who Scott was getting to know. The pair got into an altercation after Malia believed Kady had split wine on her on purpose, the altercation got physical and Malia was removed from the Billa. Love Island begins on 9th June on ITV2 and ITVX

Cricket world saddened as rival joins Glenn Maxwell in immediate move for family

Cricket fans have been rocked by the double retirement of Glenn Maxwell and South African rival Heinrich Klaasen within hours of each other. Maxwell announced on Monday afternoon that he was retiring from ODI cricket with immediate effect, but will still continue in the T20 format. Klaasen then dropped a bombshell of his own just a few hours later when the South Africa wicket-keeper announced his retirement from all international cricket to spend more time with his family. The retirement of the 36-year-old Maxwell wasn't a complete surprise, but Klaasen's was. The 33-year-old wrote on social media: "It is a sad day for me as I announce that I have decided to step away from international cricket. It took me a long time to decide what's best for me and my family for the future. It was truly a very difficult decision but also one that I have absolute peace with. "From the first day, it was the biggest privilege representing my country and it was everything that I have worked for and dreamed about as a young boy. I have made great friendships and relationships that I will treasure for life. Playing for the Proteas gave me the opportunity to meet great people that changed my life, and to those people I can't say thank you enough. My road to wearing the Proteas shirt was different than most and there were certain coaches in my career that kept believing in me - to them I will always be grateful. "To have played with the Proteas badge on my chest was and will always be the biggest honour in my career. I look forward to spending more time with my family as this decision will allow me to do so. I will always be a big Proteas supporter and would like to thank everyone that supported me and my teammates during my career." It comes less than a year after he was South Africa's top scorer in their loss to India in the T20 World Cup final. Maxwell (126.70) and Klaasen (117.05) are second and fourth on the all-time list for ODI strike rates, along with Andre Russell (130.22) and Lionel Cann (117.06). View this post on Instagram A post shared by Heinrich Klaasen (@heinie45) As for Maxwell, the Aussie star is being hailed as one of the most influential figures in one-day cricket history. The 36-year-old admitted he realised his body can't hold up to the rigours of the 50-over format anymore, and will instead prioritise T20 cricket. "I started to think if I don't have the perfect conditions in 50-over cricket, my body probably struggles to get through," Maxwell said in an extended interview on the 'Final Word' Podcast. "I realised it was probably a bit far-fetched to to keep I suppose reaching for that next series and try to hold on. "In reality, I think I'd be doing a disservice to the team ... more hoping rather than expecting to get through. I don't think that would be fair to anyone." It comes after Steve Smith also retired from ODI cricket after the Champions Trophy in March. Maxwell holds the records for fastest ODI hundred and only double century by an Australian, after his back-to-back epics against Netherlands and Afghanistan at the World Cup in 2023. Cricket Australia CEO Todd Greenberg said: "Congratulations to Glenn on what has been one of the most exciting and influential one-day international careers in the format's history. Glenn's ballistic batting has lit up the cricket world and been one of the cornerstones of Australia's continued success in the 50 over game, including his heroic role in the 2023 World Cup triumph." Cricket fans flocked to social media to praise Maxwell and Klaasen on their careers. Many were left saddened they'll never see the swashbuckling hitters in the ODI format ever again. What a day. Two explosive stroke makers of our times have called it a day. Klassen had a lot to offer to SA and deserved to win at least one ICC trophy.
