Berlin brand Saint Sass secures investment to fuel US expansion
In a release, the brand, which reported 'extraordinarily fast traction across Europe and the US' since its founding in 2021, said it intends to focus on e-commerce as it moves into its next phase of growth. High-end retail is also on the agenda, with 'selective placements in luxury environments' planned for the long-term.
The investment, structured as both a primary and secondary, will also aid in Saint Sass' product expansion. The brand revealed that it is preparing to launch a broader fashion lingerie and lifestyle collection of bras, slips, sleepwear and swimwear, reaching 'every part of a woman's daily life'.
In a statement, Larissa Schmid, who co-founded Saint Sass alongside Vivien Wysocki, said: 'Too many investors across DACH do not think outside those Continental markets, setting our new partners apart. They also understand that people follow people, not products. That underpins our vision. We remain true to who we are; and now we have the capital and conviction behind us to go global.'
Schmid added that with the US serving as a key market, 'we are doubling down on bold design, sharp storytelling and cultural instinct'. She continued: 'As we grow, we will keep doing what has made Saint Sass resonate: creating products and a brand that stands for confidence and self-determination.'
Founder of Infinitas Capital, Robin Lauber, stated that the firm was proud to partner with Saint Sass to 'support their vision to further drive expansion outside Germany'. He added: 'It is a sharp, modern label with the kind of relevance that international markets are hungry for. We are here to help scale it, according to the principles that continue to serve the business well.'

According to The Sun, Palace have not received any firm offers for either Eze or Guehi and they are in no rush to cash in on either. Guehi has just a year remaining on his contract at Selhurst Park and it looks more likely that he could leave for free in just 12 months' time. And should he do that, it could potentially open the door to moves to Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid. In the meantime, Eze could also remain in South London despite Arsenal's interest. The wide man is interested in a move to the Emirates but the Gunners are not yet prepared to activate his £68m release clause, which could see them move onto alternative targets. Fresh developments over Eze and Guehi's stances are at odds with chairman Steve Parish's approach last summer after he claimed he was shocked that Eze remained. He also underlined his willingness to do business with the Premier League 's big hitters. "I was really worried from a club point of view of losing Michael and Ebbs in the same window and we didn't have in Ebbs the interest that I thought we would have," Parish told Sky Sports News. "I was astounded. Genuinely astounded. I mean, the guy's just an outstanding footballer, an outstanding person.' He added: 'We want to be selling to the top clubs, or to clubs like Newcastle who've got great aspirations and have recently been in the Champions League. "So we have to manage all of those things. We won't get really great young talent to come to us if they think they're going to be stuck." "We want to be playing in the Champions League,' Parish said. 'The reality is we don't right now. That's what players want to achieve in their career and we respect that and we respect the fact that sometimes we're going to be a pathway to that." Newcastle United have reportedly informed RB Leipzig of a deadline in terms of their interest in a possible move for striker Benjamin Sesko, who is also a target for Manchester United Newcastle United have provided a 48-hour deadline regarding their interest in Benjamin Sesko. Eddie Howe's side have identified the RB Leipzig striker as a target as the club look to add reinforcements in attack. The Magpies, who are preparing for a Champions League campaign, currently have limited options up front. First-choice striker Alexander Isak has been the subject of a rejected bid worth up to £120million from Liverpool, while the expiry of Callum Wilson 's contract leaves prospect William Osula as the club's only other recognised centre-forward. Newcastle have also been linked with a move for Brentford star Yoane Wissa, who scored 19 league goals last term. However, the club are determined not to allow their pursuit of Leipzig forward Sesko to emulate Manchester United's earlier transfer strategy. talkSPORT have reported that Newcastle have informed Leipzig of their desire for clarity in terms of Sesko's next steps by Wednesday. It is said that the club are confident of reaching an agreement with the German side. Leipzig are thought to value the 22-year-old striker at around £70million. Sesko is also a target for Man United and had been on Arsenal's radar prior to the Gunners signing Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP. However, the report also claimed that Newcastle feel they must have a clear idea of Sesko's intentions before the latter half of the week. It is said that Leipzig have yet to receive any formal offers for Sesko, despite recent reports. Newcastle's unwillingness to find themselves in a transfer saga is contrary to Man United's approach to signing Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford. Despite the club's public interest in Mbeumo, Man United had several offers turned down before the striker finally arrived at Old Trafford in a deal worth up to £71m. Newcastle wish to avoid replicating a similar scenario with Sesko. The Isak situation provides Newcastle with extra motivation to accelerate negotiations for Sesko and any other transfer targets. Aside from potentially losing a star player, Howe will want to ensure any new recruits have time to settle before the start of an important season for the club. Newcastle reportedly value their star forward at £150m and turned down an initial £110m offer from Liverpool last week. Sky Sports spotted the striker arriving at Newcastle's training ground on Monday, having spent time training with former side Real Sociedad. When asked if he thought Isak would report back to the club as the squad prepared to return from their pre-season tour of Asia, Newcastle boss Howe said: "Of course I'd like him to be (there), but whether he will I don't know at this moment in time. We have been here with the time difference, preparing for training and for games. Other people have been dealing with that situation back at home." Isak scored 27 goals across all competitions as Newcastle finally ended their long wait for silverware by winning the Carabao Cup and secured a Champions League spot by finishing fifth in the Premier League. He was brought by Newcastle in for around £63m in August 2022. Meanwhile, Sesko scored 21 goals in 45 games for Leipzig, including four goals in the Champions League. The centre-forward is one of the most sought-after strikers in European football, having thrived during his spells in Austria and Germany. Newcastle have welcomed winger Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest for £55m and secured a loan move for goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale so far this summer. In terms of outgoings, the club have recouped some money through the sales of Lloyd Kelly and Sean Longstaff to Juventus and Leeds United, respectively.
