A 10-year-old has completed all 214 Wainwrights for a record third time in under two years.
Leo Mason, who lives in Frizington, completed his 642nd Wainwright on Sunday, May 4, when he climbed to the summit of England's tallest mountain, Scafell Pike.
This ascent saw the young mountain climber, who was diagnosed with Tourette's Syndrome, ADHD, and hyperactivity at age seven, complete his third round of Wainwrights one year and eight months after starting his first and become the youngest person to complete the 214 fells three times and in the fastest time.

After reaching the summit of Scafell Pike, Leo's father, Michael Mason, who supports the 10-year-old throughout his various challenges, was on hand to express his pride.
He said: "Leo completed his third round of 214 Wainwrights on Sunday, May 4, climbing to the top of England's tallest mountain, Scafell Pike.
"We set off at 6:30am and headed up to Lingmell first to tick off his 213 Wainwright, then we headed up Scafell Pike for his 214 on round three, this round has taken Leo just under eight months, at seven months and 30 days which now means he is officially the youngest person to ever complete three rounds of Wainwrights and the fastest at 20 months.
"It was a lovely sunny day, but with an early start to the day, there was a bitter wind all the way up, and we got back down to the car for 12:10pm.
"Leo is super happy and already ready to start round four this coming week."

To do this, Leo and Michael document their progress during each 214-fell round on their Tickinemoff Facebook page, which is followed by over 7,000 people and reaches around one million people every month.
After completing another record-breaking run around the Wainwrights, Leo is not planning to rest on his laurels and is due to travel to the Isle of Skye to take on the notorious Cullin Ridge, known as one of the UK's most challenging mountain routes, on May 13.

Pro Football Focus lauds Notre Dame's linebacker unit
AI-assisted summary Pro Football Focus ranks Notre Dame's 2025 linebackers as the fifth-best unit in the nation. Is Notre Dame suddenly becoming Linebacker U? Pro Football Focus is very high on the 2025 group, ranking the Fighting Irish 'backers as the fifth-best unit in the nation ahead of the new season. Despite losing veteran Jack Kiser, junior Drayk Bowen is back. Per PFF's wins above average metric, no returning FBS linebacker was more valuable than him last year. The Indiana native finished with 78 tackles and three forced fumbles in 2024. He should be one of the nation's best Mike 'backers this fall. Also back is Jaylen Sneed, a redshirt junior who had six tackles for loss and earned a 70.8 grade on 433 snaps in 2024. Jaiden Ausberry played over 400 snaps, earning a 69.6 run-defense grade, and had 6.5 tackles for loss. And there are high expectations for true sophomore Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa, who earned a 67.6 PFF grade on 343 snaps as a freshman after being the No. 4 linebacker in the 2024 high school class. He earned Freshman All-America honors after registering 37 tackles (2.5 tackles for loss). He will likely back up Bowen or compete for the starting Will spot. Certainly there is a lot to like when it comes to the linebacker corps in South Bend. Need a break? Pro Football Focus ranks Texas A&M's 2025 linebacker unit in the Top 10 nationally
Pro Football Focus ranks Texas A&M's 2025 linebacker unit in the Top 10 nationally One of the strengths of Texas A&M's 2025 roster is finally being recognized this offseason, and credit to Pro Football Focus for being one of the first outlets to rank the entire Aggie linebacker corps as one of the top ten units nationally. Coming in at No. 6 in PFF's Top 10 college linebacker units, Texas A&M came in at No. 6 as Notre Dame (No. 5), Georgia (No. 4), Notre Dame (No. 3), LSU (No. 2) and Texas at No. 1 are the only teams considered "better" overall. After previewing the unit last month, I have been very high on the group since the start of the offseason, knowing that junior Taurean York and senior Scooby Williams will be leading the way. Still, the depth is even intriguing with junior Daymon Sanford, Tristan Jernigan, and Jordan Lockhart all bringing their strengths to the middle of the defense. According to the author, PFF analyst Max Chadwick has Taurean York as his second-ranked linebacker in all of college football, noting that his nation-leading 59 run-defense stops, combined with his improvement in coverage, make him a top 2026 NFL Draft prospect with enormous potential. While Chadwick did not mention Jernigan or Lockhart, who will likely receive the least snaps between York, Williams, and Sanford, he did point out freshman LB Noah Mickhail, whose role in 2025 is unknown, but his skill is undeniable. "Scooby Williams is back for his redshirt senior campaign after starting next to York last season. His 82.0 run-defense grade was 11th among SEC linebackers. Daymion Sanford also returns and was fourth among SEC linebackers with a 64.1 passer rating allowed in coverage. Noah Mickhail also enters College Station as the No. 9 linebacker recruit from the 2025 cycle." Having two elite run-stoppers with York and Williams, combined with Sanford's elevated pass coverage, provides coach Mike Elko and his defensive staff plenty of leeway to get Mickhail on the field early in the season to test his readiness. Texas A&M's defense, outside of some depth issues at defensive tackle, is on track to be one of the top defenses in the SEC. ChatGPT AI-driven NBA Mock Draft has Jase Richardson landing just outside lottery
ChatGPT AI-driven NBA Mock Draft has Jase Richardson landing just outside lottery ChatGPT AI is predicting Jase Richardson to land just outside the lottery in the upcoming NBA Draft. USA TODAY Sports released their latest NBA Mock Draft driven by ChatGPT AI, and Richardson landed right about where most human draft experts are predicting. The computer model had Richardson going No. 17 overall to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Richardson starred for the Spartans during his lone season in college, playing a massive part in Michigan State winning the Big Ten and reaching the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. Richardson averaged 12.1 points per game and shot above 40% from three-point range, which raised his draft stock to where it was a no-brainer to enter the NBA Draft and leave after just one year. Richardson has been commonly mocked to land anywhere from late lottery pick to late first round pick. Most of the recent mock drafts I've came across have him landing just outside the lottery like we saw here from USA TODAY Sports' ChatGPT AI mock draft. The NBA Draft will be held on July 25 and 26 in Brooklyn. The draft will be televised on ABC and ESPN.
