Indian PM Modi arrives in Delhi after concluding his visit to Canada, Croatia and Cyprus
New Delhi: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Delhi on Thursday after concluding his three-nation visit to Canada, Croatia and Cyprus.
During his visit, PM Modi was warmly welcomed by the people and the Government of Croatia. He expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and highlighted the visit's significance in ushering in a new chapter in the shared journey of friendship and extensive cooperation between India and Croatia.

On Wednesday, PM Narendra Modi and his Croatian counterpart Andrej Plenkovic held delegation-level talks in Zagreb, with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stating that the leaders engaged in "wide-ranging discussions on various aspects of the bilateral partnership."
PM Modi held a meeting with Croatia's President Zoran Milanovic on Wednesday (local time) and discussed the full range of India-Croatia friendship.
"Met Mr. Zoran Milanovic, the President of Croatia. Had extensive discussions on the full range of India-Croatia friendship, including ways to boost linkages of commerce and culture," PM Modi posted on X.

Before visiting Croatia, PM Modi travelled to Canada to attend the G7 Summit. During his visit, PM Modi attended the G7 Summit and met world leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, on the sidelines of the Summit.
PM Modi expressed gratitude to the people and government of Canada for hosting a successful G7 Summit and underscored how India remains committed to the cause of global peace, prosperity and security.
In a post on X, PM Modi wrote, "Concluding a productive Canada visit. Thankful to the Canadian people and Government for hosting a successful G7 Summit, which witnessed fruitful discussions on diverse global issues. We remain committed to furthering global peace, prosperity and sustainability."
Prior to travelling to Canada, PM Modi visited Cyprus in the first leg of his three-nation visit. A joint declaration released after meeting between the Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides and PM Modi said that both sides emphasised the need to avoid unilateral actions as essential for creating a conducive environment for the resumption of meaningful negotiations.
The two countries expressed their strong commitment to the resumption of UN-facilitated efforts to achieve a comprehensive and lasting settlement of the Cyprus Question on the basis of a bizonal, bicommunal federation with political equality, in accordance with the agreed UN framework and the relevant United Nations Security Council Resolutions," the statement said.

Reliance Aerostructure, Dassault to manufacture Falcon 2000 jets in India for global market
New Delhi: Reliance Infrastructure Ltd subsidiary, Reliance Aerostructure Limited (RAL) and French manufacturer Dassault Aviation have announced an agreement to manufacture Falcon 2000 LXS Business Executive Jets in India for the Global Market. The development is particularly significant since the French manufacturer will be manufacturing Falcon 2000 jets outside France for the time time, an indication of India's increased importance in the global aviation manufacturing. Dassault Aviation, in a press statement, said that this is an epic moment for India as it joins the elite club of countries manufacturing next-generation business jets after the United States, France, Canada and Brazil. DRAL will be the first Centre of Excellence (CoE) outside of France for Dassault Aviation's Falcon series, including the Falcon 6X and Falcon 8X programs. Eric Trappier, Chairman and CEO, Dassault Aviation said: "This new agreement, which will make DRAL the first centre of excellence for Falcon assembly outside France and which will eventually enable the establishment of a final assembly line for the Falcon 2000, illustrates, once again, our firm intent to meet our 'Make in India' commitments, and to contribute to the recognition of India as a major partner in the global aerospace supply chain. It marks the ramp-up of DRAL, in line with the strategic vision shared with our partner Reliance, which led to its creation in 2017 and is a testament to our unwavering belief in our future in India and serving India." Anil D Ambani, Founder Chairman, Reliance Group said, "This collaboration reflects our commitment to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's vision of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self Reliant India)' and 'Make in India for the World'. The release states that by 2028, the first flight of the "Made in India" Falcon 2000 will take place from the DRAL Facility at MIHAN, Nagpur in the Western State of Maharashtra, India, following the transfer of full fuselage and wing assembly operations and significant facility enhancements. As part of the agreement, Dassault will also transfer the assembly of the front section of Falcon 8X and Falcon 6X, in addition to the wings and complete fuselage assembly of the Falcon 2000 to DRAL. "This landmark initiative will see India emerge as a strategic center for high-end business jet manufacturing, underscoring the nation's growing prominence in the global aerospace ecosystem. The new final assembly line will cater to rising demand in India and other international markets," the release added. In 2017, Dassault Aviation and Reliance Aerostructure formed a joint venture called DRAL. Later that year, a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility was established in Mihan, Nagpur, marking the start of operations. DRAL has constructed more than 100 key subsections for the Falcon 2000 since delivering its first Falcon 2000 front section in 2019, demonstrating its superior precision manufacturing skills and contributing significantly to the Falcon global production program. As per the release, DRAL is expected to recruit several hundred engineers and technicians over the next decade to support its expanding operations. "This growth underscores Dassault Aviation's deep commitment to strengthening India's aerospace manufacturing ecosystem and advancing the nation's emergence as a global center of excellence for high-precision aviation production," the release added. Dassault Aviation has established a reputation for excellence in the design, manufacture, marketing, and maintenance of all kinds of aircraft, from the Rafale fighter to the premium Falcon family of business jets, military drones, and space systems. Over the past century, the company has delivered over 10,000 military and commercial aircraft, including 2,700 Falcons, in more than 90 countries. Dassault Aviation reported EUR6.2 billion in revenue in 2024. The corporation employs 14,600 people.

India, Croatia to speed up bilateral ties three times, to formulate Defence Cooperation Plan: PM Modi
Zagreb: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Wednesday that India and Croatia will promote cooperation in many areas including pharma, agriculture, information technology and a Defence Cooperation Plan will be made for long-term cooperation in the defence sector. In a joint press statement with Croatia PM Andrej Plenkovic after their delegation-level talks, PM Modi said the two countries have emphasised joint research and collaboration between their academic institutions and India will share its space experience with Croatia. PM Modi reached Croatia earlier in the day in the last leg of his three-nation visit. "We have decided to speed up our bilateral relations three times in our third term. A Defence Cooperation Plan will be made for long-term cooperation in the defence sector, which will focus on training and military exchange as well as defence industry. There are many areas where our economies can complement each other. These areas have been identified," he said. "We have decided to increase cooperation in many areas to increase bilateral trade and create a reliable supply chain. We will promote cooperation in many important areas like pharma, agriculture, information technology, clean technology, digital technology, renewable energy," he added. The Prime Minister said there are also ample opportunities for Croatian companies in the port modernisation, coastal zone development and multi-modal connectivity being carried out under India's Sagarmala Project. "We have emphasised joint research and collaboration between our academic institutions and centres. India will share its space experience with Croatia. Our centuries-old cultural relations are the root of mutual affection and goodwill... Today, we have decided to give more strength to our cultural and people-to-people relations. The duration of the MoU of Hindi Chair in Zagreb University has been extended till 2030. A cultural exchange program has been prepared for the next five years. The mobility agreement will be completed soon to facilitate the movement of people," he said. PM Modi expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Croatian Prime Minister and the Croatian government for the enthusiasm, warmth and affection with which he has been welcomed. "This is the first visit of any Indian Prime Minister to Croatia, and I have had the good fortune of it. India and Croatia are connected by common values like democracy, rule of law, pluralism and quality. It is a happy coincidence that last year the people of India have given me and the people of Croatia have given the opportunity to Croatian Prime Minister, Andrej Plenkovic to serve for the third consecutive time," he said.
