Victoria Beckham Showcases Art by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Yves Klein, Gerhard Richter at Dover Street Store

LONDON — Victoria Beckham's next pursuit is an artistic one, and it's happening at her London store on Dover Street.
In cooperation with Sotheby's, Beckham is hosting the works of Yoshitomo Nara, George Condo, Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Joan Mitchell, Gerhard Richter and Yves Klein before they go under the hammer in London and New York. The art will be on display until Feb. 10.

'Art has always been a source of inspiration and over the years, I've so enjoyed learning and educating myself. It has the power to spark ideas, evoke emotion – and in the case of contemporary art in particular – it speaks to the world around us,' said Beckham.
She, and her husband David Beckham, are also collectors. Beckham said 'collecting is about more than just investing or acquiring beautiful objects. It's about finding pieces that bring us real joy. The more I delve into art history and progress on my journey as a collector, the more captivated I am by it,' she added.
The couple have become regulars at art fairs, especially Art Basel in Miami.
Beckham has said that the first time she saw art up close was at Elton John's house in the south of France.
'I remember Elton having this enormous Julian Schnabel in his dining room. The scale was just immense, and I just remember being so mesmerized by it,' WWD reported in 2023. 'I feel that as I get older, art is something that I'm really enjoying with my husband, something that we're educating ourselves about.'
The Beckhams' first art purchase was a piece from Schnabel's 'Sonanbul' series. Since then, their collection has grown, and now includes works by Yayoi Kusama, Nan Goldin, Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin and Yoshitomo Nara.
One of the main artworks in Beckham's Dover Street store is Nara's 'Cosmic Eyes.' It shows a young, wide-faced girl staring at the viewer with sparkly eyes.
'So much of this painting's power is in its gaze. It reminds us that things are never as simple as they look. There's a childlike innocence mixed with a real edge and an eeriness,' said the designer, adding that the muted color palette still has a sense of playfulness, something that she always tries to incorporate into her designs.
Beckham said she found much solace in the process of choosing the artworks.
She was drawn to Basquiat's 'Red Joy' and '(Untitled),' which are also featured in the store, for their 'unfiltered insight' into the artist's creative practice.
Other works include Condo's 'Artist and Muse,' depicting Picasso and his muse, Sylvette; a piece from Richter's abstract paintings, and Klein's signature blue shade in 'Blue Monochrome,' which the designer said is, 'without a doubt, one of the most iconic colors of the 20th century. It has inspired countless other artists and designers. I think this is the epitome of what every creative strives for – an instantly recognizable visual signature.'
Haleigh Stoddard, Sotheby's head of contemporary curations, said Beckham has an 'incredible eye and a deep connection with storytelling through art and design.'

Adam Lippes Resort 2026: Elegant American Sportswear Gone Global

Adam Lippes admits he treads lightly on inspiration with his collections but a recent trip to Japan helped fuel his creative impulses. 'It is just a logical place where your mind is more open to absorbing the creativity that's around you, so then we try to mix that with what we're trying to say as a brand,' he said of the trip. The collection notes mused about Japan's blend of tradition and modernity, utility and decoration, and its ongoing dialogue with Western culture, particularly through Amekaji, or 'American Casual.' But casual means more that just elevated basics with Lippes' nuanced touch. His pieces are classic staples but imbued with incredible details and luxurious fabrications: Italian double-face satin, lacquered wools, brushed mohair, crinkled metallics. Pieces were lined in silk, a detail that underscores his point of difference in the market. 'We're the only U.S. brand to line in silk,' he said of the subtle and luxurious detail. Pair it with his crisp poplin shirting, fluid silk tops, and new 'second-skin' cashmere foundations with knits, and a customer can live in. Over a third of the fabrics were sourced from Japan, including a polished take on deep blue denim with a belted button down and supersized pant. The country is more than just on his mood board, with plans to open three new points of sale in Japan the next year. The time has come for his 'elegant American sportswear' — already a hit at home — to make his mark internationally. Outside of Japan he shared that another 'yet to be named city' will house his first boutique abroad. He did give a clue, sharing that he's launched e-commerce platforms in the U.K. and Japan. Lippes is on the move, embarking on a fashion cultural exchange with room to grow. Nara and Lucky Blue Smith Are Expecting Another Baby—Less Than a Year After Saying They Were ‘Done'

Model and content creator Nara Smith first crossed paths with fellow IMG model Lucky Blue Smith in 2019. Within a year, the two had quietly tied the knot, started a family, and begun building the life that would later turn them into one of TikTok's most recognizable couples. While they've kept many details of their personal lives private, both have occasionally opened up online or in interviews about their relationship, family life, and being in the public eye. Since their wedding in 2020, they've welcomed three children together and amassed a massive following across social media—largely due to Nara's cooking-from-scratch videos, often shot in their home kitchen. Below, a full timeline of their relationship so far. Nara and Lucky met during Milan Fashion Week while both were working as models. Shortly after, Lucky initiated contact by messaging Nara on Instagram. According to the couple, they moved from texting to a seven-hour phone call—and have spoken daily ever since. 'There hasn't been a day since that day that we've not been talking,' Nara shared in an April 2025 Vogue interview. 'I messaged Nara on Instagram, we started texting a little bit, I was very slow at texting,' Lucky revealed in the interview. 'I like to take my time with what I'm going to say.' Nara quipped, 'Five business days?' That fall, they made their relationship public on Instagram. Lucky reportedly proposed to Nara in 2019. Nara later revealed she developed a crush on Lucky years earlier after seeing him appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. 'After we got married I was thinking about our journey and realized that at 15 I saw an Ellen interview with Lucky and had a crush on him but then forgot about it until later 😭,' she wrote in a December 2024 Instagram post. Nara and Lucky got married in a small beach ceremony in California. Nara shared a video from the day captioned, 'I married my best friend today.' The couple welcomed their first daughter, Rumble Honey Smith. Nara shared the news on Instagram with the caption, 'little baby angel Rumble Honey 10/7/20.' Nara gave birth to their second child, a son named Slim Easy. For his birthday the following year, she posted a video of a homemade donut tower to mark the occasion, writing, 'Can't believe how quickly time flies and how I've got a 2-year-old best friend now.' Their third child, daughter Whimsy Lou, was born. Nara announced her arrival on April 11 with a short video captioned, 'Our little angel has arrived!' The couple said they are not planning to have more children. 'Yep, I'm done,' Nara said in a GQ video, echoing Lucky's sentiment. They explained that while they originally envisioned a larger family, three children now feels like the right number. Nara and Lucky attended the Ralph Lauren Spring 2025 show in the Hamptons as part of New York Fashion Week. Lucky walked the runway, and the couple shared a few moments on camera together. Around the same time, they revealed plans to move to the East Coast, explaining in a TikTok video that they're hoping to settle somewhere quieter with more space for gardening and raising their family. Nara posted a throwback clip of Lucky's 2019 proposal to mark their five-year engagement anniversary. In the caption, she reflected on how their life has unfolded since, writing, 'I wish I could tell 18-year-old me just how beautiful life would become.' Nara and Lucky revealed they are expecting their fourth child. In a reel posted to Instagram and TikTok, Nara approached Lucky in a flowing cream blouse and skirt before gently cradling her growing baby bump. Lucky placed a hand on her stomach and kissed it as they smiled toward the camera. 'Our little surprise,' she wrote in the caption, adding 'baby 4 loading...' over the video. The announcement came nearly a year after the couple said they were done having children. They've yet to share how far along Nara is or the baby's gender. This story will be updated.

Mia Farrow, Andrew Scott and Jean Smart Celebrate the Tony Awards Over Burgers and Fries at the Carlyle Hotel

After the after parties, come the after, after parties. Following the Tony Awards, many attendees flitted off to cast celebrations and the official MoMA party before landing at the annual event at the Carlyle, hosted by Rick Miramontez and John Gore. Upon entering, guests were met with camera flashes before entering into a dark, sea of people floating from booth-to-bar at the hotel, before hitting the back room where a band played songs like 'Come Fly With Me.' More from WWD Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin and Arian Moyaed Host Tony Awards After Party at Pebble Bar Sadie Sink, Cynthia Erivo and Nicole Scherzinger Attend Official Tony Awards After Party at the MoMA How Nicole Scherzinger's Hairstylist Created Her Slicked Updo Inspired by 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' for the 2025 Tony Awards Jean Smart, currently starring in the one-woman show 'Call Me Izzy,' stayed cozy in a booth snacking on sliders and fries, which were being passed around the entire evening. While she remained seated most of the night, it didn't stop people from going up to her and complimenting her performance. The 'Hacks' star graciously chatted with each person, shaking hands and laughing. After several minutes speaking with the star, one guest bragged to a friend: 'We have become very best friends with Jean Smart.…That's all we need in life.' Later on in the evening, she and actress Zoey Deutch, who wore a black, sequin gown, were all smiles, deep in conversation. Equally busy was Mia Farrow who chatted with Andrew Scott and sipped on a glass of white wine. Partygoers weren't shy to go up to the actress and compliment her on her role in the play 'The Roommate.' One fan said: 'You're incredible. We need to see more of you,' to which she very demurely responded 'Thank you. Bless you,' rubbing them on the arm. Farrow was seemingly just as excited about seeing Broadway's finest, as they were about meeting her. Ahead of the event, Farrow was eager to see Jonathan Groff perform and afterward was just as excited to gush about host Cynthia Erivo. Farrow departed at around 1:30 a.m., someone in her party saying it was time to get her home. Ariana DeBose, who hosted the Tony Awards last year, similarly said Erivo's hosting was one of the highlights of her evening…that and 'Jonathan Groff standing on Keanu Reeves' during his performance from 'Just in Time,' she said, laughing. Of course, DeBose, who was in the original cast of 'Hamilton,' also raved about getting to perform for the 10th anniversary during the awards. 'I'm biased,' she said before slinking off to sip her drink in a booth with friends. Meanwhile, Sara Bareilles snaked her way through the party holding up her silver, sequin gown to reveal a pair of white Converse. Busy Philipps arrived with soft pink hair, staying close to a small group of friends throughout the evening. Scott passed off his drink to pose for a slew of photos that lit up the dark bar area with flash. While guests mingled, some were pulled into a private area for interviews. Meanwhile, upstairs, a neon dance floor remained unused at 1:30 a.m., though a DJ did perform. Stations for late night food were also ready to go on the upper level for the inevitable munchies. At 1:45 a.m., a long line was forming of Tony goers still waiting to get into the party, including a large group of cast members from 'Sunset Blvd.' who all raised their hand in unison to let the bouncer know they were all together. Paul Tazewell, who won for 'Death Becomes Her,' slid in the line, just as the 'Sunset' crew was being let in.
