And if it seems like it's happening all around you, you're not wrong. In June 2022, inflation in Canada rose to the highest level it's been in more than 30 years. According to experts, more recently, inflation has remained steady — between a rate of 2 to 3 per cent. Our question this month was in response to inflation. What it takes to run for federal politics in Canada
Federal politicians across Canada are officially running for office in the next election. You might be wondering … how did they even become a political candidate to begin with? Turns out the process of becoming a candidate is a lot like a race within a series of races. There are hurdles to jump over, things to avoid and of course, lots of paperwork! CBC Kids News Contributor Sabrina Erin demonstrates how to become a political candidate in this month's KN Explains.
