NASCAR Darlington predictions 2025: Expert picks for Cup Series race
The NASCAR Cup Series heads to the egg-shaped Darlington Raceway for Sunday's Goodyear 400.
The 1.33-mile oval with two very different ends is a challenge for most drivers, especially those inexperienced with running through the close-quarter turns.
Ford drivers won the two races at Darlington last season, including Brad Keselowski winning in a three-car duel with Chris Buescher and Tyler Reddick last spring. Incidentally, there are no Fords among The Tennessean's picks this weekend.

After picking Denny Hamlin to win last week, which he did, I resisted the temptation to go with him again considering how good Hamlin has been at Darlington and chose instead to go with Reddick. He has also been strong at Darlington, with three top-three finishes in the NextGen car and winning the pole last spring.
Wallace has a good track record at Darlington and has been consistent through the first two months of the season. At some point soon, he'll cash in with a victory.
Larson has showed dominance at Darlington, winning in 2023 and collecting seven top-5 finishes there in 14 starts, leading 1,048 laps. He also wins the throwback paint scheme of the weekend with the Terry Labonte Tony the Tiger theme look.
Can Denny win two straight? Why not? His teammate Christopher Bell won three straight races this season. Denny has been dominant at Darlington. He has four wins and 13 top-5 finishes? More than any other active driver. Denny got on track at Martinsville. He continues that this week.

"I love the part where you show us the oil," they wrote. "They could have done [the oil change] themselves in between," suggested another person. "Just bought a '93 Blazer and the sticker says '08... Still has a few hundred miles to go," wrote someone else. How Many Oil Changes Did the Customer Miss? Let's take the sticker at face value and assume that the Ford's owner drove the car without an oil change for approximately 19,000 miles. If you accept AAA's general advice and change your oil every 3,000-5,000 miles, it means this car owner might've skipped out on three or four oil changes. How Bad Is This On the Car Maintenance Neglect Scale? According to the folks on this Reddit thread posted to r/cars three years ago, it's high up there. The original poster said they drove 17,000 miles in a 1986 Honda CRX Si. "Drove 45,000 miles a year 95 percent on the highway, so at least the miles were easy..." the Redditor wrote. In the comments, a user wrote, "There's a guy on the Civicx forum right now who went 20,000 miles on his tuned Si, without an oil change. His engine is [ruined] and he's getting cooked by the members lol." Someone else wrote, "25,000 miles. My fault, but only because I didn't know any better. I knew it needed maintenance, but didn't know anything about it. It wasn't until I got my first oil change and looked at the little sticker in the corner of the window that showed 'next change in 3,000 miles.' Oops." Motor1 reached out to Lathe via TikTok for comment. It reached out to Ford via email. They responded with sound advice. The top 10 cars on the market that are the easiest to park in the UK
Car models from Ford, Kia, Volkswagen, Fiat and more have been named among the easiest to park with in the UK. While driving is something many motorists enjoy, the act of parking can be a bit more difficult and cause stress for some. It comes as research from Cazoo shows that Gen Z (people born between 1997 and 2012) are the most nervous generation by far when it comes to parking. A survey of more than 2,000 motorists found that 96% within the age group faced 'park-xiety'. With this in mind, Harry Waring, Motoring Specialist at Cazoo, has shared the 10 best cars currently on the market that are the easiest to park with. A classic first car for a reason, the Fiat 500's compact size, light steering and good all-around visibility make it ideal for slotting into spaces. The Ford Fiesta offers functions such as voice control, rear-view cameras and parking sensors available across a range of its models. Waring adds that it is "responsive and solid on the road and in the car park". All models of the Volkswagen Polo have a range of advanced safety features, such as automatic braking, that could help you avoid a collision when parking. Waring says: "A slightly more premium supermini, the Polo offers an easygoing driving experience with a focus on comfort rather than outright fun." The Mercedes-Benz A-Class is considered to be a good option thanks to being equipped with several parking assistance features. This includes standard reversing cameras, parking sensors, and even active parking assist systems that automatically steer the car into parking spaces. Waring adds: "It's relatively compact hatchback form also helps with manoeuvrability compared to larger vehicles, and second-hand examples are very affordable, despite the premium badge." The Hyundai i10 is an "excellent" car for the city and is a "dream to park" thanks to its small size, light steering and good all-around visibility. Some more expensive models even have rear parking sensors, a rare feature in a car of this size. The Kia Picanto takes the crown for one of the UK's least-expensive and best-value cars, and this approach carries through to parking. Waring adds: "Incredibly practical for urban driving, the Picanto's small size, light controls, and good visibility make it a breeze to park." The Suzuki Ignis has a high driving position, which provides good visibility for the driver, and the light steering helps to make parking straightforward. The Audi A3 is described as a "great practical option" that can be fitted with Park Assist. This helps the driver with both parallel and perpendicular parking. The Skoda Karoq is said to be a "fantastic all-rounder, mid-size SUV" which comes with rear parking sensors as standard. 2025 Ford Bronco Prices Adjusted, Raptor Base Price Drops by $10K
Ford is updating the pricing of the 2025 Bronco SUV partway through the year. The Raptor now costs $10,040 less, and the Badlands also gets a $1000 discount. Other Bronco models get pricier, with the base trim—both in two-door and four-door form—increasing by $1000. Ford is preparing a raft of pricing changes for the expansive Bronco lineup. According to a report from Ford Authority via Bronco Nation, Ford is planning to adjust pricing for six different versions of its boxy off-road SUV. While some Bronco models will see a slight increase, other trims—such as the high-performance Bronco Raptor—are set for a substantial price cut. The burly Raptor model is the biggest mover with a reported $10,040 decrease, taking its base price from $90,035 to $79,995. That's a massive reduction, and it takes the Bronco Raptor's cost back towards where it was in 2023, before its pricing took a massive jump for the 2024 model year. The other Bronco receiving a discount is another enthusiast-focused model, the Badlands, which in four-door specification sees its price go down by $1000 to $50,385. View Photos Ford Some Bronco models will get more expensive, however. While the four-door Badlands gets a price cut, the two-door Badlands will see its price rise by $290. The two-door base model, meanwhile, receives a price hike of $1000, putting the entry point at $38,995. The same increase applies to the base four-door model, which starts at the same $38,995 price, while the four-door Big Bend variant goes up by $850 to $41,220. The prices listed above do not include the destination fee, which Car and Driver usually reports as part of the price. According to the report from Ford Authority, the destination fee will also increase by $100 to $1995. The cost of selecting the 10-speed automatic on trims where it is not standard is now $300 pricier, and three colors—Velocity Blue, Desert Sand, and Marsh Gray—now cost $395, $100 more than before. These prices took effect earlier this month and already appear on the online configurator on Ford's website. We've reached out to Ford to confirm these changes and for a statement regarding the substantial price reduction on the Bronco Raptor. We will update this story if we hear back.
