What private schools have the priciest tuition in central Ohio? Here's the top 15
A private school is a school that is not administered or funded by the government, in contrast to a public school or charter school. In Franklin County, approximately 14% of students are in private school, The Dispatch previously reported.
Many of central Ohio's private schools have differing rates that get more expensive as the student gets older. The price tag doesn't account for factors like student aid offered by the school, state aid for special needs students or the state's expansion of its universal EdChoice voucher program.
Many central Ohio private schools have a higher tuition rate than in-state tuition costs for Ohio public colleges and universities, with Ohio State University costing $13,244, Ohio University costing $14,158 and the University of Cincinnati costing $6,988.
This list only includes ranges for high school-aged students from ninth grade to twelfth grade, although private schools typically have lower tuition rates for younger grades. This list was compiled by reviewing the tuition fees listed on the schools' websites.

INTC: White House Confirms U.S. in Talks for 10% Intel Stake
This article first appeared on GuruFocus. Aug 21 - The White House confirmed that the U.S. government is exploring a plan to acquire a 10% stake in Intel (NASDAQ:INTC), one of the country's largest semiconductor firms. Officials described the potential agreement as both an economic and national security measure aimed at strengthening domestic chip production. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick explained that the deal could involve swapping existing government grants for equity. The idea, he said, is to secure a direct return for taxpayer money while supporting Intel's expansion. The company is currently building a major manufacturing hub in Ohio as part of efforts to boost American chipmaking. Warning! GuruFocus has detected 9 Warning Signs with INTC. Is INTC fairly valued? Test your thesis with our free DCF calculator. The move comes as Intel faces stiff competition from Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA), AMD (NASDAQ:AMD), Samsung, and TSMC (NYSE:TSM). Although still capable of producing advanced chips at scale, Intel has lagged behind its global rivals in the fast-growing AI market. SoftBank, the Japanese investment firm, also announced a $2 billion investment in Intel this week, a sign some investors see a turnaround potential. Intel's shares rose nearly 7% in New York following the news. Analysts noted the deal would be unusual but said Washington's interest reflects the strategic importance of securing the domestic semiconductor supply chain.

Holiday Headwinds: Triple Whale Forecasts Smaller Baskets, Rising Ad Costs, and a Retention-First Playbook for BFCM 2025
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Aug. 21, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Triple Whale, the agent-powered intelligence platform used by more than 45,000 ecommerce and retail brands, today released its 2025 Black Friday/Cyber Monday (BFCM) forecast, revealing a fundamental reset in how brands will win the holidays. Drawing on $55 billion in annual transaction data, the report shows shoppers are paring back ahead of peak season, signaling smaller baskets and more selective, deal-sensitive buying across discretionary categories. At the same time, ad costs are rising, return on paid media is slipping, and once-reliable channels are producing uneven results. The result: acquisition is harder and pricier, prompting brands to prioritize lifetime value and retention over "growth at any cost." "In this market, the old BFCM playbook is dead," said Maxx Blank, co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Triple Whale. "You can't count on a last-minute holiday campaign to make your year. The brands that will win BFCM 2025 are the ones that start early, lean into loyalty, and allocate spend where efficiency still exists." A closeup of a juicy hamburger sandwich with tomatoes and lettuce, on a sesame bun. Based in Ohio, The Wendy's Company (NASDAQ:WEN) is a global quick-service restaurant chain known for its square-shaped burgers, chicken sandwiches, and Frosty treats. With a business model that involves operating through both company-owned and franchise locations, the company maintains a strong domestic presence as well as a growing international outreach. The Wendy's Company (NASDAQ:WEN)'s EPS of $0.29 and revenue of $560.93 million for the second quarter exceeded the consensus analyst estimates. Even so, due to ongoing softness in U.S. sales, the company lowered its full-year 2025 guidance. In the international segment, however, the company delivered systemwide sales growth of 8.7% and grew adjusted EBITDA by 23.9%. Additionally, The Wendy's Company (NASDAQ:WEN) has finalized franchise agreements to open close to 190 new restaurants across Italy and Armenia, with the aim of reaching 2,000 international restaurants by 2028. Analysts' sentiment on the stock remains mixed, with some analysts lowering the price target but maintaining the Buy rating. For instance, Truist, while keeping a Buy rating, lowered the price target from $14 to $13. The 5.54% dividend yield, however, signals strong shareholder returns, and the potential to pay is backed by moderate institutional trust from 31 hedge funds. While we acknowledge the potential of WEN as an investment, we believe certain AI stocks offer greater upside potential and carry less downside risk.
