Indiana Pacers' Draft Pick Reveals What He Brings to the Team
With the 54th pick in the NBA Draft, the Indiana Pacers selected Taelon Peter from Liberty University.

Peter was expected to go undrafted by most experts, as he did not play in a major conference and didn't even start for the Flames, although it didn't stop him from averaging 13.7 points while shooting a red-hot 45.3 percent from deep and leading the NCAA in true shooting percentage.
As a late pick, Peter knows he likely won't play a big role on the Pacers, although with Tyrese Haliburton out for the season, they could use some guard help.
"It's always great to be on a winning team, a team that doesn't need you to come in and change the whole franchise, it's something that's better than going to a place that expects you to change the whole thing, so being able to come in here with guys who are on the up and learn from them, learn their habits, learn what they do to win and be successful and have time to settle in and adapt to what they're doing here is a blessing," he summed up.
Most fans likely aren't familiar with Peter's game, unless they closely follow mid-major college basketball, although he insists that he is a winner and thinks coming off the bench for the Flames actually helps his game.

He thinks that fault is actually an overlooked advantage.
"First and foremost, I'm a winner," he continued. "I do whatever the team needs to win, but I'm an energy guy, I'm a spark plug. I got comfortable last year with coming off the bench and coming in and making a spark in the game, but I would say I can make 3s, on the move, catch and shoot, and I'm a sneaky athlete."
Peter will get his first chance to show off his skills in the Summer League, with the Pacers taking on the Cleveland Cavaliers on July 10.

ESPN ranks Broncos' under age 25 players last in the NFL
ESPN's Aaron Schatz recently ranked all 32 NFL teams based on their players under 25 years old, and the Denver Broncos came in last in the rankings. "The Broncos don't have as much talent under the age of 25 because so many of their players aged out of consideration for this list," Schatz wrote for ESPN. The team has zero "blue-chip players" under 25, at least in Schatz's estimation. Denver's list of players under 25 years old includes All-Pro receiver/returner Marvin Mims, rookie cornerback Jahdae Barron, running back RJ Harvey, pass rusher Jonah Elliss, defensive lineman Sai'vion Jones, running back Jaleel McLaughlin, receiver Pat Bryant, running back Audric Estime and linebacker Levelle Bailey. The players that are 25 years old and therefore ineligible include star cornerback Pat Surtain, quarterback Bo Nix, pass rusher Nik Bonitto, safety Talanoa Hufanga and cornerback Riley Moss. The team's players just over 25 include guard Quinn Meinerz (26) and running back J.K. Dobbins (26). Players like Surtain, Nix, Bonitto and Meinerz aging out of eligibility apparently made the team's ranking dip as the Broncos were ranked 26th last year. Dan Quinn on Micah Parsons: 'I'll be connected with him for life'
Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons has made no secret his love for Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn. Quinn was in his first season as the defensive coordinator for the Cowboys when Dallas selected Parsons with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft. It was Quinn who realized that Parsons would be best employed as an edge defender, and Parsons quickly proved him correct. As a rookie, Parsons finished with 13 sacks and 20 tackles for loss, won the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award, and was named first-team All-Pro. In 2022, Parsons was again named first-team All-Pro and was second-team All-Pro in 2023. After the 2023 season, Quinn departed to become the head coach of one of Dallas' primary levels. Parsons spoke of his appreciation for Quinn every chance he got. Well, in case you haven't heard, Parsons requested a trade from the Cowboys on Friday. He and the team are at odds over a new contract, as Parsons felt Dallas misled him. Owner/GM Jerry Jones has stated he will not trade Parsons, and the goal remains to sign him to a long-term deal. This weekend, Bleacher Report was in Ashburn for a training camp practice, and, of course, Quinn was asked about Parsons. "Yeah, I loved coaching him, I really did, and I'll be connected with him for life," Quinn said. "He had the versatility to do different things, so he challenged me as a coach. What if we line him up here? What if I put him here? And sometimes I would be like, 'That didn't look so good.' Another time, 'We got something.' So he pushed me as a coach to think differently, and it allowed us to be more versatile. I had an absolute blast coaching him." Quinn has to be careful in discussing Parsons, but his affinity for his former player is apparent. Parsons revealed last season that he and Quinn still communicate. What does this mean? Absolutely nothing. Quinn would do anything to acquire Parsons, but do you think that Jerry Jones would trade Parsons to Washington? First, the Cowboys aren't trading their best player.
