Despite playing one player short for the entire second half — Jasmyne Spencer was ejected from the match for a pair of yellow card offences in the 29th and 39th minutes — the visitors were able to contain the Toronto offence. De Filippo scored her third goal of the season when she pounced on the rebound to get the deciding tally. De Filippo was born in Ontario but grew up in Quebec before playing in the NCAA with the Arkansas Razorbacks.
