93-year-old buys ‘mangalsutra' for wife, jeweller's kind tribute goes viral
A touching video from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, capturing a deeply moving moment between a 93-year-old man and his wife, is going viral on social media.
The incident took place two days ago at Gopika Jewellers, where the elderly couple walked in together, hand in hand, to buy a mangalsutra. The couple, clearly devoted to each other, browsed necklaces and finally selected one. Moved by their affectionate bond and humble demeanour, the shopkeeper began a warm conversation with them.
When asked how much money they had, the elderly woman pulled out Rs 1,120 in cash. The shopkeeper, amused, said with a smile, 'So much money?' Thinking this meant they didn't have enough, the old man promptly reached into his bag and brought out two bundles full of coins. But what followed next truly stole the hearts of everyone who saw the video.
Instead of accepting the full payment, the shop owner insisted on charging only Rs 20 – Rs 10 from each of them – as a symbolic gesture, saying it was a tribute to their love. The elderly couple was overwhelmed and moved to tears by the kindness.
Later, the jeweller shared that the couple had endured many personal hardships – their elder son had passed away and their younger son battles alcoholism. The two live alone, but their unwavering love continues to shine through.

The composer's skills as a musician are strongly showcased with the cinematography by Niketh Bommireddy, capturing each frame with precision and aesthetic quality. The Bad Kuberaa is a tale that offers a fresh plot, but sadly, the movie fails from a writing standpoint. The poor crafting of the screenplay is trifling in both the first half and the second half. In the initial half, the Dhanush starrer sure takes its sweet time to establish the core aspects. The long duration for the world-building feels like a humongous task for a viewer, but a moment of elevation transforms it into an edge-of-the-seat thriller, leading to the midpoint. While the second half manages to continue the momentum, the third act fails to keep it up, managing to lose focus. The climax, where it all ties up together, is a saving grace in the fleeting moment, partially making up for the lacklustre writing. In all important aspects, Kuberaa suffers from a long runtime of more than 3 hours. While a writer and director may justify the duration as a necessity, a member of the audience may not be as impressed to spend such a huge chunk of time. In respect to characters, Rashmika Mandanna was brilliant with her portrayal; however, it seems like her importance in the flick was nerfed at one point. R Madhavan and wife Sarita rent out Rs 17.50 crore apartment, to earn Rs 1.6 crore rent in 2 years
Actor R Madhavan and his wife Sarita have given their Mumbai apartment, worth Rs 17.5 crore, on rent. The residential property, located in Bandra Kurla Complex, will draw Rs. 6.50 lakh monthly rent, as per property registration documents reviewed by Square Yards. The leave and license agreement was officially registered in June, 2025. The property will earn Rs 1.60 crore rent over a period of two years and is situated in Signia Pearl apartment complex. The rental agreement also includes a security amount of Rs 39 lakh, along with a stamp duty of Rs 47,000 and registration charges of Rs 1,000. Madhavan bought this property, measuring 388.55 sq. m. (4,182 sq. ft.) at Rs. 17.50 crore in July 2024. Going by the agreed rental terms and acquisition cost, the total rental revenue is at approximately 4.5% for the first year, escalating to 4.7% in the second year of the lease.
