
Cybertruck vandalized at Winnipeg Folk Fest; RCMP searching for suspect
Manitoba RCMP are asking for the public's help after a Tesla Cybertruck was vandalized at the Winnipeg Folk Festival over the weekend.
According to RCMP, Mounties received a complaint on Sunday at 9:53 a.m.
The investigation determined a woman had allegedly written profanity on the truck's driver side back panel with a marker. The truck was parked at Birds Hill Provincial Park for the festival.
A photo of the suspect was released.

N.S. man dead, Ontario woman badly injured after crash in Petite Riviere
A man is dead and a woman is in hospital with serious injuries after a vehicle left the road in Petite Riviere, N.S., Thursday morning. Lunenburg District RCMP responded to the single-vehicle crash on Italy Cross Road around 11:40 a.m. Police say it appears the Infiniti Q50 was travelling south when it left the road, went down an embankment and ended up in the ditch. The driver of the car, a 34-year-old man from Middle Sackville, died at the scene. A dog that had been riding inside the car was also killed in the crash. The passenger, a 32-year-old woman from Burlington, Ont., was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The southern section of Italy Cross Road near Petite Rivière was closed for several hours. It has since reopened. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Man arrested for allegedly brandishing knife at Lower Sackville, N.S., splash pad
A 32-year-old man is facing several charges after he allegedly brandished a knife and threatened a woman at a Lower Sackville, N.S., splash pad earlier this week. Police responded to a weapons complaint at the splash pad around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, according to an RCMP news release. They learned a man had allegedly threatened a woman with a 'sensory irritant' before he took out a knife from his waistband during the altercation. 'Witnesses were able to take the knife from the man and toss it away from him,' the release reads. 'The man then fled and was not at the park when officers arrived.' There were no reported physical injuries. Police identified the suspect as Jacob Joseph Jenkins from Dartmouth and safely arrested him that evening. Jenkins was charged with: assault with a weapon uttering threats two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose Jenkins appeared in court on Thursday was released pending a court appearance in September.
