Hunt family dealing with loss of 9-year-old relative after Texas floods
She died after catastrophic flooding at the site of a Christian summer camp for girls called Camp Mystic in Kerr County. Flooding has accounted for at least 68 deaths in Kerr County, including 28 children.

Tavia Hunt, wife of Clark Hunt, shared a post on Instagram stating:
'Our hearts are broken by the devastation from the floods in Wimberley and the tragic loss of many lives — including a precious little Hunt cousin, along with several friend's little girls.'
She also shared an emotional message in her caption as the the family mourns the loss of Janie Hunt:
'If your heart is broken, I assure you God is near. He is gentle with your wounds. And He is still worthy—even when your soul is struggling to believe it. Trust doesn't mean you're over the pain; it means you're handing it to the only One who can hold it with love and restore what was lost.For we do not grieve as those without hope.'

Currently, at least 80 people have died throughout central Texas from the flooding. At least 41 people are missing, including 10 children and a counselor from Camp Mystic.
