Tommy Robinson flees UK after seen next to unconscious man in train station
Footage circulating on social media appears to show far-right activist Tommy Robinson speaking to witnesses at St Pancras on Monday evening, shortly after a man was seen lying on the floor. Tommy Robinson shouts 'he came at me' as man lays motionless in St Pancras Tommy Robinson has fled the country after a man was knocked unconscious in a violent incident at St Pancras International Station. Shocking footage shows the victim lying face down on the concourse at the busy train station as paramedics administer CPR. The man, whose condition has not been publicly confirmed, suffered serious injuries and had to be rushed to hospital, reports the Mirror. Robinson - real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon - appeared visibly agitated in videos shared on social media, in which he is seen speaking to witnesses before making his way out of the station via an escalator. In the clip, he can be heard saying: "You saw him, he came at me." British Transport Police have now confirmed the suspect boarded a flight out of the UK just hours after the attack, which took place around 8.40pm on Sunday night. They were trying to resuscitate him and there was what looked like a blood transfusion bag. "The station was still open as normal while the incident was being dealt with." In the video, a distressed member of the public can be heard shouting for help as the injured man lay motionless. They say: "Quick, quick, can we get someone here quick."

Migrant, 26, who entered the UK with 'grotesque' child abuse videos on his phone gives thumbs up after being spared jail
A migrant caught with vile child abuse videos on his phone gave a thumbs up outside court after being spared jail. Yemeni Osamah Al-Haddad, 26, was let off the hook after claiming he might be forced to fight a war in his home country if sent back. In footage filmed by a passerby, Al-Haddad can be seen denying any knowledge of the images' source as he tries to rush away following the verdict. He says: 'I don't know. I explained them (the court) everything (sic).' The migrant had flown over from Cairo, Egypt, in January 2024 but was found with the three 'grotesque' videos at Heathrow Airport. One of the recordings showed a man having sex with a goat. Al-Haddad was spared prison after a judge ruled he could be forced to fight for the Houthis if sent back to Yemen. Prosecutor James O'Connell said immigration officers uncovered the material during an asylum screening. He explained: 'The defendant was interviewed, and made no comment to questions he was asked.' Al-Haddad originally came to the UK on a student visa, then 'claimed asylum after insisting the Houthis were seeking out his father in Yemen', John Hunter, defending said. Mr Hunter added: 'The Houthis also asked the defendant where he was because they wanted him to join their army. As a result of that, he then applied for asylum. 'He is not able to return to Yemen, because of his fear of repercussions from refusing to fight.' Mr Hunter said Al-Haddad's asylum application was pending, but he is allowed to live and work in Plymouth, Devon, Isleworth Crown Court heard. 'Although the defendant entered the country as an asylum seeker, he is now working in a restaurant. 'He receives a monthly income of around £781 a month. He gives most to his wife and child back in Yemen, and he hopes to bring them to this country to live with him.' Al-Haddad, of no fixed address, admitted three counts of making indecent photos of children, and one count of making a pseudo-photograph of a child. He had claimed the images were sent to him by a friend on WhatsApp. Al-Haddad was assisted by an Arabic interpreter as Judge Fiona Barrie told him: 'You are 26 years of age, and you pleaded guilty to all offences. Mr Hunter said Al-Haddad's asylum application was pending, but he is allowed to live and work in Plymouth, Devon, Isleworth Crown Court heard 'The category A video involves an act of bestiality which is grotesque and is depraved. 'You should do well to remember that this is a real child who has experienced this abuse, and those are significant aggravating factors. 'You claim you have no sexual interest in children and received the images from a WhatsApp group. 'But I share the concerns of the pre-sentence report which state that you are not entirely honest about that. 'You have had those videos saved since August 2021, in your possession to view and certainly not deleted by you.' Judge Barrie sentenced Al-Haddad to 30 weeks, suspended for a year. Al-Haddad was also be made subject to a sexual harm prevention order for 10 years, and 150 hours of unpaid work. Last April, Home Secretary Yvette Cooper had set out plans to ban foreign sex offenders from gaining asylum in the UK. Any offender would have to be sentenced to more than a year in prison.

Cost of probe into SNP finances soars to £2.7 million
According to the latest figures released from Police Scotland the force has spent more than £2.2million on their four year Operation Branchform inquiry, which ended this Spring. Earlier this month it was revealed that the separate cost to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service - who will lead any future prosecution - have more than doubled from £206,000 in February to £460,000 this month. That brings the total spent so far by both police and prosecutors to £2.68 million with further extra costs expected. The figures released under Freedom of Information (FOI) to the Daily Record also show that £2.1 million was to cover police officer salary costs. They also reveal a cost of £94,927 in police officer overtime, £2,962 in police staff overtime, £7,691 in transport costs including flights and £11,020 in supplies and services. The police investigation was launched in July 2021 following a number of complaints and concluded in March this year. During that 44 month period Nicola Sturgeon resigned as First Minister and [[SNP]] leader in February 2023 and was replaced by Humza Yousaf. Police officers searched the SNP's headquarters in April 2023 (Image: PA) In April that year, her husband and SNP Chief Executive Peter Murrell was arrested. He was later charged by Police Scotland and appeared in court in March this year on one charge of embezzlement where he made no plea and was granted bail. No date has yet been given for his second court appearance. Earlier this month, the Scottish Legal Aid Board confirmed Murrell had been granted legal aid for his defence. As part of the Police Scotland investigation officers searched Mr Murrell and Ms Sturgeon's home near Glasgow and the SNP's headquarters in Edinburgh. A motorhome, worth around £110,000, was subsequently seized from the home of Mr Murrell's mother in Fife by Branchform detectives. One of Scotland's leading KCs Joanna Cherry also called on prosecutors this month to make public the specific details of the allegations against Mr Murrell. Writing on X the former SNP MP said: "I can't understand the delay in indicting Peter Murrell. It's way past time the detail of the charges against him were in the public domain." During Operation Branchform Ms Sturgeon was also arrested and questioned, as was Colin Beattie, the former SNP treasurer. However the police investigations against both ended in March with no charges or further action against either. Murrell, who is now separated from Ms Sturgeon, stood down as SNP Chief Executive in 2023 following a row over party membership figures.
