"No child should fall behind in studies or life. Our goal is to ensure a level playing field for all children. We are considering how to make this practical. Many countries follow various models to eliminate the idea of backbenchers. We have decided to appoint a committee of experts to find the best model suitable for our education system," he said.
He added that the plan was to move forward by considering the recommendations of this committee.
"We seek your full support for the better future of our children," he said. The minister added that an action plan was being prepared for the demolition of school buildings in an online meeting convened to discuss urgent follow-up actions regarding the study of structurally weak public buildings, particularly school and hospital buildings, that need to be demolished.
He added that ahead of the state arts festival, school-level competitions will be completed in Sept, sub-district level competitions by the second week of Oct and district-level competitions by the first week of Nov.

The venues for the sub-district and district arts festivals will be selected by the sub-district education officers/assistant directors of education on a rotational basis.
Preparatory activities have already begun to make the 64th state arts festival in Thrissur a grand success. The state school sports competitions for the 2025-26 academic year are planned to be organised in Thiruvananthapuram, following the Olympics model. Approximately 24,000 students will compete in various events at the state school sports meet scheduled from Oct 22 to 27. The district-level sports meets are scheduled from Aug to Sept.
