Nicola Peltz And Brooklyn Beckham Reportedly Hire Prince Harry And Meghan's Lawyer Amid Family Rift

Yahoo20 hours ago

Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham have reportedly hired the same lawyer used by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to help them with their "reputation management."
This comes amid reports that the young couple bonded with the Sussexes over similar experiences with their in-laws.
Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham have particularly been in the news lately as their relationship with David and Victoria Beckham has become more strained.
According to the Daily Mail, Nicola and Brooklyn are growing concerned about the various reports about them on the internet and are trying to protect their reputation.
This has seemingly led the duo to hire British solicitor, Jenny Afia, who works for Schillings law firm.
The Duchess of Sussex is said to have also given a referral after Brooklyn and Nicola met the US-based royal and her husband at a party in Montecito, California, in early May.
Sources now claim that the lawyer's appointment has prompted "much amusement," as David and Victoria Beckham are allegedly not on good terms with Harry and Meghan.
Another source elaborated more on the latest development, noting that Nicola and Brooklyn took the "drastic" decision due to recent headlines about them.
"You couldn't really make it up, first Brooklyn and Nicola cosy up together and realise they have quite a lot in common, and then all of a sudden they have enlisted the help of the Sussexes' long-serving lawyer," the source told the Daily Mail.
They continued, "Nicola and Brooklyn are getting fed up of stories running they don't like. Nicola likes to control everything, and they have taken this rather drastic action."
"For the Beckhams, the irony isn't lost. They fell out with Meghan and Harry after they accused them of leaking stories – they were furious and Brooklyn knows that," the source added. "The two couples are very close indeed."
Three weeks ago, the Sussexes had an intimate dinner party with Brooklyn and Nicola in Montecito, hosted by Brian Robbins, chief executive at Paramount Pictures.
While the event raised eyebrows due to the ongoing tensions within the Beckham family, it was confirmed that the plans were made before the public fallout between Brooklyn and his parents, David and Victoria.
During the dinner party, Meghan reportedly felt a strong sense of empathy toward Nicola, as both women have experienced similar challenges navigating strained family dynamics under the spotlight.
A source told The Sun that during the dinner, Meghan and Peltz shared a heartfelt conversation, bonding over how they've "been positioned in the media as home-wreckers — the women to tear apart their husbands' families."
"Meghan had a lot of sympathy for her, and said there was shared common ground," the insider revealed. "They didn't meet in relation to recent developments and headlines, but it was an honest but very welcome coincidence."
David and Victoria once shared a close friendship with Harry and Meghan, even attending the couple's royal wedding in 2018.
They reportedly went so far as to offer Harry and Meghan use of their Beverly Hills home as a private retreat not long after the royal wedding.
However, the relationship between the two couples has since cooled. According to reports, tension arose when Meghan allegedly suspected Victoria of leaking personal information to the media, a claim that created significant friction.
A source told The Sun that Meghan voiced her concerns to Harry, suggesting Victoria was the source of a leak.
The source noted that Harry reached out to David in an attempt to clear the air, stating: "Harry is very protective of Meghan, and decided to deal with the matter head-on, by directly contacting his good pal, David. Harry was very polite, but obviously, it was a pretty awkward exchange, and David was mortified."
Recently, a video of Brooklyn and Nicola riding a motorbike sparked concerns. A source told the Daily Mail that Brooklyn's appearance in the video was alarming as he is privately known to detest being filmed, and would only do it if he had to.
In the video, he was seen riding a motorbike with Nicola, seemingly showing he's siding with her in the bitter feud with his family and would do anything for her.
"My whole world x I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you're the most amazing person I know xx me and you forever baby," Brooklyn wrote in the caption of the clip.
This has now raised suspicion among his loved ones as his parents fear he is under Nicola's control.
"Brooklyn is now being referred to as 'the hostage.' He is in a situation where those who love Brooklyn fear that he is being controlled by Nicola, and it is heartbreaking," an insider close to the situation told the news outlet.
"Videos like this are just not what he does. He will be dying inside," they continued. "He's soppy and he's a romantic, but that video just isn't him. He hates all of that stuff, so you have to wonder if Nicola was behind it."

Craig Daitch's BLD DRV Releases "Recovery," an Unflinching Look at the Quiet Hell of Staying Clean

DETROIT, June 13, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Detroit-based artist Craig Daitch, the voice behind alternative rock project BLD DRV, has released a powerful new single titled "Recovery." The song blends atmospheric, melodic alt-rock verses with crushing post-hardcore choruses, digging deep into the emotional weight of addiction and the daily effort it takes to stay clean. The track features production by Justin Tamminga (Assertion), a longtime collaborator who also appeared on BLD DRV's recent singles "plus+one" and "Broke Promises." Together, they deliver a sound that's both emotionally unfiltered and sonically intense. "This one was hard to write," says Daitch. "Addiction is a disease, but too often it's treated like a moral failure. People living with it carry an invisible weight—one that doesn't just affect them, but the people who care about them too. Recovery is about learning to live with that weight, showing yourself compassion, and trying to rebuild trust where you can—even if that trust starts with yourself." Daitch's musical roots trace back to West Michigan's alt-rock scene of the mid-90s, where his previous musical endeavors led him to open for bands such as Orange 9mm, Chicago's Catherine, and Menthol. He recently reemerged by collaborating on an EP with the post-hardcore band In Dark, which included members of Ettison Clio. BLD DRV builds on that legacy with a more reflective and personal lens, exploring themes of loss, resilience, and renewal. To support others on their recovery journey, proceeds from downloads and streaming of "Recovery" will be donated to SAFE Project, a national nonprofit dedicated to ending the addiction epidemic through education, prevention, and support services. "Recovery" is available now on all major streaming platforms. Buscabulla's Se Amaba Así Is a Callback to Hardcore Feelings

'It's actually the opposite,' says del Valle when I suggest as much at their record company's offices in Brooklyn. 'This is the most intimate thing we've ever written in our lives. We are talking about our relationship, our difficulties, our relationship as parents, as friends, as lovers.' 'It's interesting that you see it that way, because it's true that there is a narrative built in, but we wanted it to be more cinematic, to give it a touch of fantasy,' adds Berrios. 'But it is a narrative based on our life.' Their vulnerability shifts every theory I'd developed while listening to the album. While they're certainly not the first couple to explore their relationship (beginning, middle, or end) while making music together, the reveal does feel like a tiny gut punch. It's not that they hadn't borrowed from their life before; Regresa, their first full-length album after two critically acclaimed EPs, revolved around their decision to move back to Puerto Rico, where they both grew up, following years of living in New York City (where they actually met, almost a decade earlier). Released in May 2020, what was supposed to be a celebratory occasion was, of course, radically reframed by COVID. 'Releasing a record during the pandemic was fairly wild.' Berrios recalls. 'The truth is, I don't have bad memories of the time because it was like a return to community in a way, but it was very hard for us professionally.' Unable to tour or properly promote the record, they got creative, like when they filmed an episode of NPR's Tiny Desk from inside their car on the beach in Aguadilla (while the rest of the band played from their own house). They were finally able to go on the road in late 2021, and went back to the studio the following spring to work on new material. It was an uncertain moment. 'We had no hope, no steam—and then Bad Bunny happened,' says Berrios.
