
Horrific incident in Morocco: Uncle rapes and kills 5-year-old niece
The child named Jeida disappeared during her mother's prayers in Sidi Taibi, a town in Morocco's Kénitra Province. Amid Jeida's disappearance, social media was swarmed with photos of her, only to find her deceased body the next day in the trash.
Authorities managed to detain the suspect, who was Jeida's 16-year-old uncle that confessed to raping and killing the 5-year-old. By the time of reporting, the suspect is yet to give the reason behind committing the terrifying incident.

The incident shocked Moroccans as they raised concerns about parents neglecting their children across the country by failing to monitor and care for them. Several described the incident as inhumane, and shocking. Many also called for the death of Jeida's uncle as a form of punishment.
A human rights activist added, "Why do parents neglect their children while we live in a forest filled with bears?"
