Delta Force Season Break start date confirmed as new maps and Operator revealed

Daily Mirror04-07-2025
Delta Force Season Break is almost here, and the game's biggest update yet will introduce a new mechanic and a new Operator, as well as new maps for both Operations and Warfare
The upcoming season of Delta Force is nearly upon us, and it's bringing with it new mechanics and enhancements to the Victory Unite mode, as well as a fresh Operator, maps, and additions to weapons and vehicles.
Delta Force Season Break (Season 4) is rapidly approaching and is set to be the most substantial update since the game's PC launch last December. Alongside new maps for Operations and Warfare, and a brand-new Operator, Team Jade is introducing a novel mechanic: swimming and diving, allowing players to explore underwater.

A jailbreak is on the cards for the Operations map, Tide Prison, which was previewed in the developer livestream – and the nod to Shawshank didn't go unnoticed. Players will start with no gear or weapons and will have to scavenge what they need during the mission, while undercover as a prisoner.

The map is set on an island prison, making it the ideal time to introduce swimming and diving mechanics; something the developer has been keen to implement for some time. While there won't be a solo mode at launch, it could be added later if players take to the map.
Team Jade is keeping schtum on the details of the new Warfare map Cyclone, which is linked closely to this season's gripping storyline. The studio hasn't spilled too much about the plot, but a brief summary suggests that Cyclone picks up right after the prison operation, with a promise of intense action over land, sea, and air – think more wild swimming and diving antics.
Staying on-brand with the water-based adventures, Jet Skis are the latest mode of transport to zip through the waves. But wait, there's more! The Cyclone sneak peek debuted dynamic weather; expect battles to heat up amidst the "gushing winds and torrential rain".
Over in the world of mobile Warfare, Team Jade is all about speedy matches, finally giving players the swift gameplay they're craving.
Jets won't make an appearance in the Delta Force Season Break update, but the studio hinted that these would grace the game in the season "after Season Break", which likely means gear up for them in Season 5. If you're eager to get every juicy detail, you can catch the Delta Force Season Break livestream on the game's official YouTube channel.
So mark your calendars, as here's what's in store when Delta Force Season Break kicks off.

We'll update the above if Team Jade provides exact timings. As for what's new when Delta Force Season Break begins, here's a brief rundown, with more details below:
New Operations Map: Tide Prison
A secret high-tech island prison run by the Haavk, players must infiltrate disguised as prisoners and collect their gear during the mission, solving puzzles solo or with their squad. Swimming and diving have also been introduced, together with underwater exploration.
New Warfare Map: Cyclone
A tropical island with a hidden ICBM missile site, the Cyclone is a grand map offering satisfying infantry and vehicle combat, and introduces a dynamic weather system which affects gameplay immersion and strategy.
New Operator: Tempest
Free with Battle Pass, Tempest comes with enhanced mobility via an exoskeletal device, emergency evasion devices, and a charged drill that disarms enemies, making her an ideal choice for close range combat and deadlocks.
The start of Delta Force Season Break coincides with the game's console release, meaning PS5 and Xbox gamers will also be entering the action. Additionally, the Black Hawk Down single-player campaign will be accessible as free DLC, which isn't a massive shock as it was a freebie for PC players too.

Dustin, 35, and Katie Maletich, 32, from Oregon, went viral on TikTok after they shared a video showing how they handled their son Tommy misbehaving. Katie told him to stop and he replied: ''OK, chill''. The remark, however, left Dustin unamused. ''Did you just tell your mum to chill?'' a shocked Dustin asked the little boy. Without much hesitation, Dustin then demanded the youngster to start doing push-ups. The nine-year-old obliged, immediately getting down on all fours and and starting the exercise. He stopped after doing ten - but the dad still wasn't satisfied and told him to keep going. ''I can't do anymore,'' Tommy said - however, Dustin wasn't having any of it and kept pushing the nine-year-old to ''go, go'' 20 push-ups later, Tommy was exhausted - but his dad then broke the news that he'd also have to do squats. The nine-year-old did a whopping 60 squats before his dad finally told him he could stop. Irish comedian Emma Doran on the differences between her childhood and that of her kids ''Do we tell mum to 'chill out'? Absolutely not,'' Dustin told him after he was done. 'I wouldn't let anybody else talk to her like that so you don't get to talk to her like that.'' Tommy then apologised to mum Katie and the viral video ended with Dustin telling him: ''I love you.'' Sharing the footage online under the username @raisingmaletich, Katie wrote in the caption: ''I will never stop being grateful to be raising kids with a real man who knows how to be a father, especially to his boys. Different parenting styles explained There are four recognised styles of parenting explained below: Authoritarian Parenting What some might describe as "regimental" or "strict" parenting. Parents with this style focus on strict rules, obedience, and discipline. Authoritarian parents take over the decision-making power, rarely giving children any input in the matter. When it comes to rules, you believe it's "my way or the highway". Permissive Parenting Often referred to as "soft parenting" or "yes mums/dads". Permissive parents are lenient, only stepping in when there's a serious problem. They're quite forgiving and they adopt an attitude of "kids will be kids". Oftentimes they act more like friends than authoritative figures. Authoritative Parenting Authoritative parents provide their children with rules and boundaries, but they also give them the freedom to make decisions. With an authoritative parenting style, parents validate their children's feelings while also making it clear that the adults are ultimately in charge. They use positive reinforcement techniques, like praise and reward systems, as opposed to harsh punishments. Neglectful or Uninvolved Parenting Essentially, neglectful parents ignore their children, who receive little guidance, nurturing, and parental attention. They don't set rules or expectations, and they tend to have minimal knowledge about what their children are doing. Uninvolved parents expect children to raise themselves. They don't devote much time or energy to meeting children's basic needs. Uninvolved parents may be neglectful but it's not always intentional. A parent with mental health issues or substance abuse problems, for example, may not be able to care for a child's physical or emotional needs consistently. ''This is masculinity,'' Katie wrote in the caption of the video, which has racked up more than 1.4 million views. But viewers were divided over parenting technique, with some applauding Dustin's method and others slamming the pair for making their son do physical activity as punishment. While chatting exclusively with the Daily Mail, Katie and Dustin defended their actions. ''This is not something exceptionally difficult for him because we all workout together as a family for fun several times a week and he is used to this sort of exertion,'' Dustin explained. '''You can tell right away when I ask him, 'What did you say?' that he knew he had messed up. ''He is such a great kid and is generally very remorseful when he knows that he made a mistake.'' Dustin applauded his son for apologising to Katie without being asked to and pointed out that the moment ''ended with love''. In Dustin's eyes, the physical exercise allows Tommy to ''refocus when he feels that he doesn't have control over his body and mind which always makes him more reception to healthy communication''. The couple said they never expected the video to get the reaction it did, and they viewed it as a ''tender parenting moment''. In the interview, Dustin said it meant something special to his partner because Katie grew up in a home ''where there was a lot of toxicity, emotionally reactive parenting, yelling and anger''. He said that when Katie saw the ''corrective parenting moment'' unfold between the two, it left her ''very emotional'' - and Katie allegedly felt ''inspired''. In response to the online backlash, Dustin reminded social media users that everyone parents in the way they ''see fit''. ''I think as long as you aren't doing anything to intentionally harm your child, I think you get to make that decision,'' he told the publication. As for their parenting method, Dustin explained they're trying to raise Tommy as a ''healthy, happy, resilient and respectful human''. Social media users left divided Online, the video has sparked a fierce debate, leaving many divided. One said: ''I don't really agree with physical exercise being used as a punishment but glad he was supportive of not letting them talk to you that way.'' Another chimed in: ''the fact he even said 'don't give up' & 'good one', encouraging him while also being a parent & disciplining him! literally a perfect example of what good parenting should look like in a situation like this!'' Someone else said: ''this is called tough love and holding children accountable for their actions. a lot of parents don't understand this. which is why we end up with kids running ragged.''

JoJo Siwa reveals she and Chris Hughes want to start family very soon

Big Brother star JoJo Siwa says 'I absolutely would love to have babies' as she discusses her future plans with boyfriend Chris Hughes after shutting down pregnancy rumours Dance Mom's star JoJo Siwa has hinted at her plans to start a family, which 'aren't that far away', with her boyfriend Chris Hughes as their whirlwind romance grows stronger. ‌ The couple met in the iconic Celebrity Big Brother house in April, and viewers watched their bond begin a loving friendship that eventually grew into something more. Not long after the show ended, the two revealed they started dating and have been sharing intimate details about their romance with fans online ever since. ‌ After travelling to the UK to promote her new song Raspy, JoJo opened up about her future and revealed she 'craves' motherhood in the future. It comes after David Beckham speaks 'as a father' in 'family' announcement after latest Brooklyn snub. ‌ When asked about whether she wants children, JoJo, 22, told The Sun: 'I crave them, I absolutely would love to have babies, it's absolutely in my future and I don't think it's that far away.' The dancer added: 'I'm at a place in my life where my career by no means is slowing down, but my career is at a point where it works and it runs and I know how to do everything that I'm doing and I'm not learning anything new, so I'm at a great place with that. 'Obviously I have a great boy in my life, there are a lot of things to happen before then, but definitely want kids.' JoJo's family admission follows after Chris, 32, opened up on their close relationship last month in a chat with US Weekly where he discussed the pair getting married. ‌ Chris said: "When you're besotted with each other and in love with someone, I think it's fun to look forward to those things." He added: "Of course, I want to get married to her, I would never shy away from that. And one day I want to have children. We both come from extremely loving families and very wholesome families who care for you so it would be nice to reciprocate that going forward. One day I'd love to have children, it would be an absolute dream for sure." ‌ Last month, JoJo hit out at the claims that she was pregnant to her 46 million followers on TikTok as she shared a video of herself plugging her cover of Bette Davis Eyes. The rumours began on TikTok after a video of Chris appearing to affectionately stroke JoJo's stomach sent fans down a rabbit hole and videos of fans discussing the rumours are being posted in their tens. JoJo decided to shut down the rumours by playing a game of Two Truths and A Lie, and asked fans which statement is a lie: '1) I've never smoked a [cigarette] 2) I'm pregnant 3) This song comes out on Spotify Friday.'

With a glow-down, out are the hair extensions, fake nails and lash extensions - and in is learning how to take care of your skin to make it radiant. As beauty buffs are learning to love and rock their authentic selves, thousands have taken to social media to show off their epic transformations - including TikTok user Nicole (@glitchnicole). For the past six years, Nicole had been getting facial fillers - and while at the time she didn't care what others had to say about the look, Nicole recently decided she was ready for a major change. ''It made me really happy. But now, I'm in a different stage and I wanted to reverse it - and I just did it,'' she said in a video posted this week. ''It is my body, my choice and my happiness. I'm really happy with my decision now but I'm not going to deny, I was also really happy then - and that is exactly the point. ''You don't always change something because you hate yourself - sometimes you do it simply because you want to, because it feels right for you.'' Nicole added that while she loved that people were ''going natural'', there could be a time where she could return to fillers - if that's what she wanted. As well as ditching fillers for the time being, the beauty buff has also said goodbye to another popular trend - hair extensions. Up until the jaw-dropping makeover, the TikToker was sporting Rapunzel-like hair - which weighed a whopping 400g, she revealed in a follow-up clip. I've lost 9 stone & am barely recognisable from my former self - my transformation's so insane people even think it's AI According to the stunner, the transformation has knocked off ''five years of age'' - and it's all thanks to giving up these two looks. But while Nicole may eventually have facial fillers again, one thing is clear - social media users cannot get enough of her new self. Posted just two days ago, the glow-down has racked up more than 150k views, with hundreds in awe at how much younger she looked. Four ways to give yourself a glowdown Thick fluffly lashes are out, so is the fake tan and long how to have the ultimate glow-down in four steps... The term "glow-down" refers to a woman removing what once was the most popular beauty choices, for a more natural look. Eyelash extensions - Thick, bold "Russian lashes" used to be all the rage, but nowadays, girls are opt for subtle, individual eyelash extensions to lengthen what they already have. Nails - Gone are the long, plastic talons, more women are favouring BIAB or gel manis. Hair colour - Remember when everyone wanted icy white hair? Not anymore! Millions of women are trying to go back to their roots (literally), and have soft blondes, and warm gold tones added to their hair, in a bid to achieve the "old money blonde" look. Makeup - Sculpting your face shape through the art of contouring is no more. Ladies are adding freckles and sweeping blush across cheekbones instead. One person wrote: ''You look SOOO much better. Younger. More vibrant.'' Another fan agreed, adding: ''Incredible honestly!! Best decision you've made to remove them fillers.'' Someone else chimed in: ''An angel got her wings back.'' ''Absolutely YES! You looked like you were already in your 40s!! Now you're glowing,'' a viewer commented. ''I'm Dutch, and even for a Dutch person I can be very straight forward. So my honest opinion: best decision ever and please don't ever do it again!'' a fan begged, ''You look way better, healthier, powerful, elegant, beautiful than before. Well done that lady!''
