A TRENDY clothing chain has launched a huge closing-down sale ahead of disappearing from the high street forever.
Monki, which is owned by H&M, is preparing to shutter its branch in Glasgow's Buchanan Galleries shopping centre.

Monki is closing down its branch in a busy Glasgow shopping centre
A huge closing down sale has been launched ahead of its closure in August, according to the Glasgow Times.
It means shoppers have a chance to grab some last minute deals before it closes for good.
The Sun has contacted H&M for comment.
The store, which first opened in 2017, will close as H&M continues with its plans to integrate the brand with another one of its fashion lines, Weekday.
It comes just weeks after the popular clothing brand shuttered it's branch on Carnaby Street in London.
News of the closure came as a blow to shoppers, who in the past described it as their "favourite store" in the world.
While another fan said the clothes were "amazing quality" and "look so good".
H&M already boarded up Monki branches across Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle and Sheffield earlier this year.
One remaining store continues to trade in Bristol and will either close later this year or be transformed into a new concept store.
Monki's online store has also closed down with the brand now only available to shop through the revamped Weekday website.

A previous statement from H&M read: "A limited number of Monki stores are intended to be transformed into multi-brand Weekday destinations, while the others are intended to be closed."
"The newly formed Weekday multi-brand destination will cater to customers' high aesthetic standards while embracing their multitude of unique expressions."
As part of the process, H&M has also revived its Cheap Monday brand and begun selling it in select Weekday stores and online.
The fashion line was a hit during the early noughties, but H&M axed it in 2018, blaming poor sales.
Weekday currently has five locations in the UK, all of which are in London.
Like Monki, it caters towards a younger audience and sells trendy fashion pieces.
RETAIL PAIN
Plenty of other retailers are reducing their store estates in the face of rising costs and shoppers having less money to part with at the till.
River Island will close 33 of its 230 stores as part of a major restructuring.
The future of a further 70 stores is at risk and dependant on agreements being reached with landlords to slash rent payments.
The retailer is set to split its store estate into seven categories of closures and rent reductions.
New Look has previously warned it would shut nearly 100 stores ahead of National Insurance hikes which came into place in April.
The popular clothing store will also shut down a branch in Neath on August 6.

Next has significantly upgraded its annual sales and profit forecasts, attributing the stronger-than-expected performance to favourable weather and disruption faced by rival Marks & Spencer. The fashion and homewares retailer reported a 10.5 per cent surge in full-price sales for the second quarter to 26 July, contributing to a 10.9 per cent rise for the first half of the year. UK sales climbed 7.8 per cent in the second quarter, boosted by what the group described as "better than expected weather and trading disruption at a major competitor." M&S was forced to halt online trading for nearly two months from mid-April following a major cyber attack. Consequently, Next now anticipates full-year sales growth of 7.5 per cent and profits to increase by 9.3 per cent to £1.11 billion, an uplift from its earlier projections of 6 per cent sales growth and 6.8 per cent profit increase. The upgrade marks the group's third in just five months. But Next said it 'remains cautious for the second half', stressing that the improved outlook is for its international arm over the next six months. It said: 'In the UK, we believe we exceeded expectations in the second quarter as a result of better summer weather and trading disruption at a major competitor. 'We do not expect either of these factors to have a material effect in the second half, and so we are not increasing our guidance for UK sales in the second half.' It believes sales growth in the UK will slow sharply to 1.9 per cent as the jobs market starts to falter following the Government's move to hike National Insurance contributions for employers, at the same time as rising the minimum wage. Next said: 'We expect UK employment opportunities to continue to diminish as we enter the second half, with the effects of April's National Insurance changes continuing to filter through into the economy as the year progresses. 'We believe that this will increasingly dampen consumer spending as the year progresses.' But an online marketing push for its international arm is bearing fruit, helping drive sales 28.1 per cent higher in the first half and with growth of 19.4 per cent now expected in the final six months. The results come after Next announced late on Wednesday that it had bought Seraphine – the maternity fashion firm, whose clothes were worn by the Princess of Wales during her pregnancies – after it recently collapsed into administration. Next paid £600,000 for the brand and announced it was bringing back Seraphine's founder Cecile Reinaud as an adviser to help relaunch the fashion label.

Major M&S refund update to impact families across the UK
The retailer has made a switch up to its children's clothing refund policy that will benefit families across the country. Families who shop for clothing at M&S are about to witness a major shift in their shopping experience as the retailer has announced a significant change to its refund policy. Thousands of families with children across the UK expected to benefit from this switch up. While shopping for children's clothes can be a somewhat stressful experience at times, M&S is hoping to lessen this burden by making an important change to how parents can get a refund when they are buying clothes for their kids in store. Revealed earlier this week, M&S is set to become the first high street retailer to offer a one-year guarantee on all of its children's clothing, reports Manchester Evening News. This means that families with kids will be able to claim a refund on an item of clothing up to 365 days after it was purchased. However, it should be noted that children's footwear and accessories are excluded from this year-long refund policy. This policy switch up means that shoppers will be able to get a full refund on any kidswear within a year of purchasing if the product does not meet the retailer's high quality standards. Kidswear director at M&S, Alexandra Dimitriu said: "At M&S, exceptional quality products are at the heart of everything we do. Quality and durability is in our DNA, and is an important part of our Plan A roadmap as we move toward a more circular economy. "In Kidswear, our customers have always trusted us for the hand-me-down quality of our clothing, knowing that every single item they buy, whether it is a jogger or a dress, a piece of school uniform, is exceptional quality and trusted value. "With an authoritative lead in quality, we're going one step further to give our customers the confidence that any item of kids clothing they purchase, it made well and made to last and can be given Another Life when their children grow out of it. She added: "As a mum myself, I know just how important this is." M&S is continuously trying to find new ways to help out families in the UK, as last year the retailer launched its 100 day back-to-school extended returns policy. However, with the launch of the new kidswear refund policy, school clothes will now fall under this updated scheme, alongside other children and baby clothing. This means school wear is extended to the year long M&S guarantee. On top of this, M&S also announced earlier this month that it will be bringing back its popular school uniform offer to its stores to help make sure families are ready for their first day back after the summer holidays. This offer, which many shoppers had initially thought had disappeared, sees school clothing get a 20 per cent cut. A spokesperson said: "From Thursday, July 17, M&S will be offering 20 percent off across Back to School ranges (including shoes and hosiery), in stores nationwide. "M&S school uniform is designed to be durable and pass the 'hand-me-down' quality test to ensure even when it's outgrown, it can be given another life. "Across the range, M&S has incorporated intelligent innovative design features that grow with children, from growth proof hems to adjustable waistbands and the 2025 range continues to include the parent-friendly innovations M&S is known for - from permanent pleats in skirts to 'easy to iron' shirts."
