Hamas denies dismantling of one of its training camps in Aley
Hamas on Monday denied reports about an alleged dismantling of one of its military training camps by the Lebanese Army in the Aley region, in the mountains south of Beirut. "Hamas does not have any training camp in the aforementioned area, nor in any other Lebanese region, and does not seek to establish any," the statement said. A plan was set to disarm the camps in June, but the process was suspended due to the war between Israel and Iran and political tensions. Hamas, like al-Jamaa al-Islamiya, carried out operations from Lebanon during the 13-month war between Hezbollah and Israel, from October 2023 to November 2024, and many of its leaders and fighters were killed in Israeli strikes, even after the truce took effect on Nov. 27.

UN says Iran executions surge 'deeply disturbing'
The United Nations on Monday urged Iran to stop using the death penalty, citing a "worrying surge in executions" that has seen at least 612 people killed so far this year. "Reports that there have been several hundred executions in Iran so far this year underscore how deeply disturbing the situation has become and the urgent need for an immediate moratorium in the country on the use of the death penalty," said a statement from U.N. human rights chief Volker Turk. Israeli Drone Carrying a Hand Grenade Falls
Saturday, 26 July 2025 The LAF Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement: In light of the continued assaults and violations of national sovereignty by the Israeli enemy, on July 26, 2025, a drone from the Israeli enemy fell on the outskirts of Mays Al Jabal in Marjaeyoun area, carrying a hand grenade. A LAF patrol secured the area around the crash site, detonated the hand grenade, and transported the drone to the relevant unit for inspection and necessary action.
