US actors Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence (R) (Photo by Valerie Macon / AFP) Whether or not the newlyweds were aware that Murphy would be saying that they got married on national television is a question that cannot be answered. Eric Murphy, who is 35 years old, and Jasmin Lawrence, who is 29 years old, did not post anything on their social media profiles regarding the private ceremony. In November, the pair made the announcement of their engagement on Instagram by releasing a video of the proposal that was performed with candlelight. In spite of the fact that the couple decided to have a private ceremony, Eddie Murphy revealed to Hudson that they intended to host a "big party" in order to celebrate the newlyweds. According to Lawrence, who stated this in an interview the following year, the couple began dating in the year 2021. According to her, they did not meet their renowned fathers but rather met through her uncle. 'It wasn't even our dads, and they've done two movies together,' she told InTouch. 'They're friends. I don't even know. It's crazy. But we met through my uncle, and we became really good friends. We bonded over a lot of things. Obviously, we have similar backgrounds, so we understood each other on a certain level.'

Russell Brand pleads not guilty to rape and assault charges, trial set for 2026
ALBAWABA - Russell Brand pleads not guilty in London court amid rape allegations Actor, comedian, and conspiracy-theorizing YouTuber Russell Brand entered a not guilty plea to several rape and sexual assault allegations on Friday in a London courtroom. The presiding judge, Tony Baumgartner, stated after a brief hearing that Mr. Brand will be put on trial on June 3, 2026, for four to five weeks. Due to the backlog of cases in the British legal system, defendants frequently have to wait between tendering a plea and going to trial. Mr. Brand, 49, is charged with two charges of sexual assault, one crime of oral rape, one count of rape, and one act of indecent assault. Four ladies are involved in those five charges. The episodes, according to the prosecution, took place between 1999 and 2005. One of them involves Mr. Brand allegedly raping a lady in a hotel room when she was attending a Labour Party political meeting. British comedian and actor Russell Brand (Photo by HENRY NICHOLLS / AFP) Wearing a dark gray suit and a striped shirt that opened to display his chest, Mr. Brand stood in a Plexiglas box at the back of the courtroom throughout the 10-minute session, which was attended by tens of journalists. He answered, "Not guilty," as each of the allegations was read out. News organizations are prohibited by British law from identifying anyone who accuses someone of sexual assault unless the accuser agrees to give up their right to anonymity. Strict regulations also prohibit the publishing of case-related material that can sway a jury during a trial once criminal procedures have begun. Mr. Brand had vehemently refuted every claim before Friday's hearing. He claimed to have been a "drug addict, a sex addict, and an imbecile" in a video he uploaded to social media in April, but he had "never engaged in nonconsensual activity." Mr. Brand has been a British celebrity for decades. He rose to stardom as a stand-up comedian and as a BBC and MTV radio and television host. He also became well-known in the US after the criminal trials ended because of his roles in popular films like 2008's "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." Additionally, he was temporarily wed to pop sensation Katy Perry. Mr. Brand's most well-known role these days is that of a politically charged YouTuber. With more than 11 million followers on X and more than 6.7 million subscribers to his channel, he frequently discusses religion, conspiracy theories, and conservative talking points in his videos.

Nadine Nassib Njeim faces backlash over harassment claim turned marketing scandal
ALBAWABA - Nadine Nassib Njeim harassment claim sparks backlash and marketing controversy. After Nadine Nassib Njeim, a Lebanese actress, accused a young delivery man of trying to harass her while she was in her apartment building, her situation became more complicated. She declared on the X app using her personal account that she intended to file a lawsuit over a video that was allegedly taken from the business she delivered to, which used the incident to advertise their goods. In addition to reposting the company's video, the Lebanese artist added the following comment: "I will refer it to the judiciary as long as the matter has reached the stage of lying and fabrication to promote a company and the claim that my neighbor ordered from you." The problem didn't end there, either, as numerous businesses took advantage of the tragedy to advertise their goods, some of which Nadine approved of and participated in. The Lebanese celebrity was criticized for using a delicate subject as a means of exploitation and advertising. Nadine Nassib Njeim Instagram profile It's important to note that the tale started a few days ago when Nadine posted a video regarding an incident that happened to her on social media. She was scared when a young man asked her if she would take an elevator, so she became tight and refused to go up with him at all. Then, in light of the awkward behavior she would come across in her day-to-day existence, Nadine emphasized the magnitude of the worry she feels as a woman and mother. طالما وصلت القصة لهون و صار فيها كذب كرمال تعملوا دعاية للشركة و انه جارتي طلبت الطلبية من عندكن رح وصل الموضوع للقضاء. — Nadine Nassib Njeim 🏆 (@nadinenjeim) May 25, 2025 Many people criticized the Lebanese actress for overreacting and accused her of wanting to trend after seeing the video. Later, an audio recording that was credited to her went viral. According to the proprietor of " the young man in question was employed by her delivery service and was tasked with delivering an order to Nadine's neighbor. She denied that he had acted inappropriately. Those who blamed the Lebanese artist did so because of the company's exploitation of the tragedy and its spectacular product display in the film. One Twitter user wrote, "How much awareness and understanding are necessary to discuss harassment, given how delicate the subject is? In an attempt to gain influence, a slut came along and made it a stupid topic. Her film became a marketing tool, a joke, and a mockery. To feel like a drama queen, she keeps making things worse without dealing with the problem. She fights with her and just gives her advice on what to do.
