Retro-inspired mini dress is now £45 in Joanie's huge summer sale
Shopping writer Lauren wore the discounted design to a fancy dinner and received lots of compliments Fashion fans will likely already be familiar with Joanie, the vintage-inspired clothing brand that has carved out a loyal following for its retro silhouettes and playful prints. Think Twiggy-style minis, romantic puff sleeves and vibrant florals that look straight out of the '60s. The good news is the brand is currently running a huge sale, with up to 70% off a dreamy selection of dresses, skirts, blouses and more. Among the markdowns is one of my personal favourites: the Katy Blue Floral Ruffle Sleeve Mini Dress, £45, from £75. I wore it to a fancy dinner back in June and received so many compliments throughout the night, including from a fellow fashion journalist who genuinely thought it was a Pucci dress. It looks like something a shopper would find after spending hours scouring vintage shops. The striking floral print is a real head-turner - colourful without being garish and vibrant enough to stand out in a crowd of neutrals. The frilly ruffle sleeves add an extra touch of fun, while the mini hemline feels playful yet still sophisticated. Plus, it has pockets, which, as any girl knows, is always a bonus. Embracing Joanie's signature 60s vibe, I teamed it with green velvet Mary Jane shoes and a slick of bright red lipstick - I used No7's Pro Artist Matte Muse Lipstick in Red Carpet Ready, to be precise - for a Twiggy-esque look. However, it can be easily toned down with nude sandals and a clutch for a more casual outing. Shop the look £75 £45 Joanie Buy Now on Joanie Product Description For those that love the Joanie aesthetic, there are similar retro-forward labels, such as Sister Jane, which leans into whimsical ruffles, puff sleeves, and statement collars. The brand even has a preloved section on its website. Otherwise, Rixo is known for its beautiful hand-printed prints and vintage-inspired cuts. The brand offers a mix of stylish everyday wear, beautiful dresses, and wedding-ready bridal options. There are plenty of other standout pieces in the Joanie sale. I also like the look of the Daisy Flared Sleeve Ruffle Neck Wrap Blouse, now down to £47.40 from £74. It features a lovely daisy print and a side bow to accentuate the waist. The Bellatrix Short Sleeve Velvet Jumpsuit is also an excellent choice for Christmas parties and is now reduced to £35.60 from £89. However, despite mostly positive reviews, one person warned: "It's not for tall people. I'm 5'6" with a long body and short legs. The trousers are just about OK for me if I wear flats." Still, this sale is a treasure spot with a soft spot for the past. The sale is available to shop via Joanie here.

At the time, the mum of five admitted her fears he "might not fully recover" yet the adorable dog has battled through and now has wheels on his back legs. Alongside a new video showing Teddy scooting around their huge garden at Pickle Cottage with his new accessory, X Factor alum Stacey explained the situation. In her emotional words she wrote: "Our Darling Teddy has his wheels. read more stacey solomon CUT LOOSE? Stacey Solomon has been noticeably absent from Loose Women - pals reveal why "We have spent the last few days trying to teach teddy a new way of getting around & he's finally learning to love his wheels. "He was very nervous at first but seeing him today walking around with Peanut again was so special." In a plea to fans Stacey, who was seen supporting Teddy with his adventures in the garden, pleaded for fans for their understanding. She added: "We have spoken to our vet and have bought Teddy some wheels. If we are doing anything wrong please be kind. "This is a totally new journey for us and we are doing our best to give teddy the best life he can possibly have. "So just let us know if you have any tips." Stacey Solomon hits back at cruel troll who branded her a 'horse mouth' She finished with the touching words: "Teddy you've been such an amazing boy. "We know your whole world has turned upside down but you've been so calm and patient and we hope we are giving you the second chance that you deserve. To the moon & back Teddy." FAMILY LIFE Stacey, who has five children - Zachary, Leighton, Rex, Rose and Belle - shares her youngest three with her husband Joe Swash. The couple live at their Essex home, affectionately called Pickle Cottage, along with their beloved pets including dogs Teddy and Peanut, and their cat Princess. Inside Stacey Solomon's Pickle Cottage STACEY Solomon splashed out a massive £1.2million on Pickle Cottage - and Joe Swash didn't put in a penny. She solely stumped up the cash for their Tudor-style Essex property, which is set in 2.5 acres and boasts an outdoor swimming pool. The former X Factor star and Joe live there with Zachary, Leighton, Rex, Rose, and Belle. It's not known why Stacey went alone, as ex-EastEnders actor Joe is reportedly worth over £1million, but has also been made bankrupt twice in 2009 and 2013. Shrewd Stacey has shown she's a dab hand at running a wide range of successful businesses including TV, books, clothing and homeware ranges. Her main firm Key Map Entertainments is worth just shy of £3million - and she's also branched out into cosmetics. The former X Factor contestant registered the company Belle & Rose Ltd, named after her youngest two daughters. They currently have their own fly-on-the-wall BBC reality series, titled Stacey and Joe. Viewers have already seen the ex EastEnders actor break down in a candid chat with his wife while discussing the challenges he's faced with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). Stacey previously confessed viewers would see 'domestics' between her and Joe. And this proved to be true, as the pair were seen clashing on screen over parenting issues. 6 Earlier this year, the family feared Teddy would not survive his ordeal Credit: Instagram 6 Stacey husband Joe Swash and their family live at the stunning Pickle Cottage Credit: Instagram
