round from a group of marquee investors. The round was led by LVX (previously LetsVenture), Tremis Capital, with participation from other notable angels, including Chaitanya Ramalingegowda Wakefit cofounder, Ajith Pai

COO, and Arash Ferdowsi Dropbox cofounder.
The funds will be used to expand operations into new cities, invest in product and technology, and build a strong vendor partner network to standardize wedding service delivery at scale.

In the meeting on Monday, Jaishankar for the second time this year raised issues related to trade restrictions imposed by China. He had flagged it last month in a meeting with Wang on the margins of the SCO foreign ministers' meeting. China announced in April its decision to implement export controls on certain rare earth items. According to MEA, govt remained in touch with the Chinese side, in Beijing as well as in Delhi, to bring "predictability in supply chain for trade consistent with international practices". India's rare earth magnet import dependency on China has hovered at 80%-85% in the past three years. India has set up National Critical Mineral Mission to increase domestic capacity and build supply chain resilience in critical minerals. India had earlier also taken up with China the issue of restricted fertiliser supplies. Indian companies had in fact signed long-term agreements with their Saudi counterparts last month for continued supplies of DAP, the fertiliser most used in India after urea. China is one of the countries India has been dependent on for DAP supplies. A foreign ministry spokesperson in Beijing did not confirm if China was going to review export licences or if it was making an exemption for India but said China stood ready to strengthen dialogue and cooperation with relevant countries and jointly keep global industrial and supply chains stable. In his meeting with Jaishankar, Wang had said "in today's world, the changing situation is evolving rapidly, unilateral bullying practices are rampant, and free trade and the international order face severe challenges". Jaishankar too had underlined the imperative of working towards ensuring a stable global economy.

Airports in Telangana, AP grounded in losses
Hyderabad: As many as seven airports in the Telugu states, operated by the Airports Authority of India (AAI), are incurring losses of over 150 crore annually. According to the data provided by the ministry of civil aviation in Rajya Sabha, seven airports in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, including Begumpet, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, and Tirupati, recorded a cumulative loss of Rs 1,861 crore over the last 10 years. Surprisingly, Warangal airport, which is non-operational, has incurred a loss of Rs 5 crore since 2015-16. In fact, Begumpet airport alone has reported losses of Rs 564.97 crore, making it the third-highest loss-making airport in India after Safdargunj in Delhi (673.91 crore) and Agartala (605.23 crore) between 2015-16 and 2024-25. Overall, 81 airports operated by AAI registered over Rs 10,000 crore in losses during this period. When passenger volumes remain negligible or commercial operations are closed, such airports inevitably run into losses," Capt CS Randhawa, president, Federation of Indian Pilots, told TOI. Industry experts suggest that to curb these deficits, the govt should must strenghten regional air connectivity. Reviving idle airports and linking them with tier-II and tier-III cities under the UDAN scheme could help improve traffic, generate revenue, and reduce the financial burden on AAI, they said. Telangana yet to handover addl land to AAI for Warangal airport While the Telangana govt is planning to develop an airport at Mamnoor in Warangal, AAI has revealed that the state is yet to hand over 253 acres of additional land for expansion. Currently, only 700 acres of land are available for the development of the airport. "AAI has requested 253 acres of additional land for the development and expansion of Warangal airport from the govt of Telangana. The land is yet to be handed over to AAI. All the development will depend on the quantum and shape of land made available by the state govt.
