Cornerstone Building Brands' Ply Gem® 1500 Vinyl Window and Patio Door Collection Expands with New Black Interior and Exterior Options

Yahoo04-06-2025
CARY, N.C., June 04, 2025--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cornerstone Building Brands, a leading manufacturer of exterior building products in North America, proudly introduces black interior and exterior options on its Ply Gem® 1500 Vinyl Collection windows and patio doors. Not only does this new offering elevate the aesthetic of new residential home builds and meet the increasing demand for high-contrast designs, it also delivers the performance that Ply Gem is known for — giving builders confidence in their durability.
Best-selling Ply Gem 1500 Vinyl Collection windows and patio doors now feature a coextruded black interior and exterior. This coextrusion technology provides UV protection and exceptional durability, along with proven color retention and weather resistance as the color is integrated directly into the vinyl during manufacturing.
"Ply Gem 1500 Vinyl Collection black windows can withstand the elements, and that's important," says Kate Land, Vice President of Product and Innovation, Aperture Solutions – U.S., Cornerstone Building Brands. "With dark colors especially, manufacturers need to account for heat absorption and potential material stress. It's why this collection was made with coextrusion technology; the process layers UV inhibitors and reflective pigments right into the product to offer long-term resistance to weathering and heat buildup."
Beyond color, the Ply Gem 1500 Vinyl Collection is designed to contribute to overall energy efficiency with a range of glass packages. From Low-E for solar heat deflection to HPMax triple-pane for ultimate thermal efficiency, they provide homeowners with long-term value and comfort. The 1500 Vinyl Collection can be ordered with ENERGY STAR® certification for any climate zone.
New black interior and exterior options in the Ply Gem 1500 Vinyl Collection, now available through the AccuQuote ordering system, combine bold design with trusted quality, helping homebuilders deliver on-trend solutions their customers can depend on.

Brazilian Firms Add Resilience with Cybersecurity Advances

SíO PAULO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug 4, 2025-- Enterprises in Brazil are increasing investments in cybersecurity as both attacks and defensive technologies grow more sophisticated, according to a new research report published today by Information Services Group ( ISG ) (Nasdaq: III ), a global AI-centered technology research and advisory firm. The 2025 ISG Provider Lens ® Cybersecurity — Services and Solutions report for Brazil finds growing concern about the cost of data breaches in terms of downtime, damage to brand reputation and potential fines and lawsuits. In Brazil, costs have risen with the increasing complexity of responding to incidents, especially for companies with a shortage of skilled labor. Enterprises also face the growing challenge of complying with the country's General Data Protection Law (LGPD), which sets strict requirements for collecting, storing, processing and sharing personal data. 'Cybersecurity is crucial for business resilience and growth,' said Doug Saylors, partner and leader of ISG Cybersecurity. 'Brazilian companies are transforming their security strategies for evolving technology and regulation, often with the help of service providers.' Enterprises in Brazil are increasingly using AI to strengthen their defenses, while AI adoption also presents new challenges in areas such as privacy, the report says. Cybersecurity systems enhanced with AI and ML allow companies to analyze large volumes of security data, including system logs, network alerts and threat intelligence information, in real time. They can accelerate malware detection, automate incident response and orchestrate actions among security tools. By reducing false positives, AI can free overburdened security teams to focus on real threats. Brazilian companies are also beginning to adopt zero trust architecture, which requires continual verification of users even within an enterprise's network, ISG says. This architecture is quickly becoming a de facto standard, but many Brazilian companies need to modernize their systems to implement the essential tools of zero trust, such as identity and access management (IAM). Brazil is activating collaboration among enterprises, suppliers, government agencies and academic institutions to strengthen its national cybersecurity posture, ISG says. Several initiatives, including the National Cybersecurity Strategy (E-Ciber), established in 2020, facilitate threat information sharing and coordinate incident responses among the public sector and those managing critical infrastructure. The global shortage of cybersecurity talent is especially acute in Brazil, with an estimated shortfall of 750,000 qualified information security professionals, the report says. To fill essential roles in areas such as cloud security and incident response, many firms are turning to service providers. 'Hybrid cloud and multicloud IT environments increase the complexity of cybersecurity, while the growing use of AI is creating new challenges for data protection,' said João Mauro, lead analyst, ISG Provider Lens Research, and lead author of the report. 'Providers can mitigate the need to constantly attract and retain specialized security staff.' The report also explores other cybersecurity trends affecting enterprises in Brazil, including the growing importance of security service edge (SSE) solutions, and surveys the market for extended detection and response (XDR) both globally and in Brazil. For more insights into the cybersecurity challenges facing Brazilian enterprises, plus ISG's advice for overcoming them, see the ISG Provider Lens ® Focal Points briefing here. The 2025 ISG Provider Lens ® Cybersecurity — Services and Solutions report for Brazil evaluates the capabilities of 113 providers across nine quadrants: Identity and Access Management (Global), Extended Detection and Response (Global), Extended Detection and Response (Brazil), Security Service Edge (Global), Technical Security Services, Strategic Security Services, Next-Gen SOC/MDR Services — Large Accounts, Next-Gen SOC/MDR Services — Midmarket and Risk-based Vulnerability Management. The report names IBM as a Leader in six quadrants and ISH Tecnologia as a Leader in five quadrants. It names Accenture, EY, Logicalis and Stefanini as Leaders in four quadrants each. Broadcom, Capgemini, Microsoft and NTT DATA are named as Leaders in three quadrants each. Agility, CrowdStrike, Deloitte, Edge UOL, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks and Trend Micro are named as Leaders in two quadrants each. Cato Networks, Check Point Software, Cipher, Cisco, CyberArk, Forcepoint, Kaspersky, KPMG, Kyndryl, ManageEngine, Netskope, Okta, One Identity (OneLogin), Ping Identity, PwC, SailPoint, Saviynt, SEK, SentinelOne, TIVIT, Trellix, Unisys, Versa Networks, Vultus, YSSY and Zscaler are named as Leaders in one quadrant each. In addition, Asper, BeyondTrust, Cloud Target, Deloitte, FUTURE TECHNOLOGIES, HPE (Aruba), Italtel, Kyndryl, Pride Security and Sophos are named as Rising Stars — companies with a 'promising portfolio' and 'high future potential' by ISG's definition — in one quadrant each. Customized versions of the report are available from Kaspersky, ISH Tecnologia, Scunna, Vortex Security and Vultus.
