American Actor Reads Palestinian Poem by Mahmoud Darwish
'This is a poem by Mahmoud Darwish, who I met many years ago,' Gere said.
As you prepare your breakfast, think of others (do not forget the pigeon's food). As you conduct your wars, think of others (do not forget those who seek peace). As you pay your water bill, think of others (those who are nursed by clouds). As you return home, to your home, think of others (do not forget the people of the camps). As you sleep and count the stars, think of others (those who have nowhere to sleep). As you liberate yourself in metaphor, think of others (those who have lost the right to speak). As you think of others far away, think of yourself
(say: 'If only I were a candle in the dark'). @ajplus

‘Andor' Star Denise Gough Urges Celebrities to Speak Out for Gaza
Irish actress Denise Gough, best known for her breakout role in the 'Star Wars' series Andor , has called on fellow public figures to use their influence to advocate for Palestinians. Her appeal followed a speech she delivered at the March for Gaza outside Downing Street in London. In an Instagram post on Sunday, Gough revealed she had been invited by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign to speak and to recite If I Must Starve , a poem by Palestinian poet and activist Nour Abdel Latif. 'The point of my being there was to encourage people with platforms to speak up,' Gough wrote. 'I understand the fears. They are not nothing. But we are now at one of the darkest moments in our history.' Gough noted that celebrities often attract more attention than 'healthcare workers, journalists, and, most importantly, Palestinians themselves,' and stressed the importance of using that visibility to 'centre and amplify Palestinian voices.' She urged people to 'support verified families directly, march, be visible, boycott, educate,' adding that collective action can reduce fear: 'The more people who do it, the less fearful we need to be. It's time for action.' Calling her participation 'being on the right side of history,' Gough told followers that 'it feels better … making noise.' She also expressed gratitude to Abdel Latif 'for the privilege of speaking' her words and praised 'the millions worldwide who energise me and have built a community that nourishes rather than punishes.' She closed her post with a simple message: 'Free Palestine.' Palestinians Face Ongoing Nakba of Suffering and Loss: American Comedian
Guy Christensen, an American social media influencer and comedian, said that Palestinians are experiencing an ongoing Nakba that brings more suffering and loss. In a video that went viral on social media, Christensen said that the last few pages of Gaza war speak about the mass ethnic cleansing and displacement. 'My heart is so heavy. This is the end, the last chapter of the genocide. This book ends the same way with the same words that it began with. This is about the land. It is the Zionist leaders who say it. These last few pages speak about the mass ethnic cleansing and displacement,' he said. He added that he was only 17 years old when he started to know about Palestinians' suffering. 'I was a senior in high school watching Israel bombing Al-Shifaa Hospital and murdering thousands just a few days after October 7. Now they bombed every hospital and every school. Everything normal about Gaza has been destroyed. Every building has been bombed. Hundreds of thousands are dead,' Christensen said. @ ♬ original sound – Deteriorating Humanitarian Conditions The TikTok comedian noted that he is now 19 years old, watching the Palestinians being put into concentration camps allured by the promise of food that is not enough under a fake humanitarian organization that Israel fund it. 'That will eventually lead to the Palestinians being ethnically cleansed out of Gaza and never to return,' he said. Moreover, they will see the Israelis taking control of their homes and lands. 'I am ashamed of our world's failure to put a stop to this. I am ashamed of the United States government. This is our genocide, not just Israel. We are all stained red, and we are bloody because of this,' he concluded. Elyanna shares heartwarming moment with Palestinian children at Coldplay concert
DUBAI: Palestinian Chilean singer Elyanna took to Instagram to share a heartwarming moment with two young Palestinian children at a Coldplay concert, invited through the non-profit organization Heal Palestine. She was joined by Egyptian American comedian and creator Ramy Youssef and US journalist Ayman Mohyeldin. 'Thank you @ for making it possible for me to meet these angels,' wrote Elyanna on Instagram, along with photos from the meeting. A post shared by Elyanna (@elyanna) Heal Palestine, the organization that facilitated the encounter, focuses on supporting Palestinian children and families affected by war and displacement, offering both emergency relief and long-term education initiatives. The group took to their official Facebook page to thank Elyanna, Youssef and Mohyeldin. 'A heartfelt thank you to @elyanna, @aymanm, and @ramy for giving Qamar and Sara an unforgettable night at the Coldplay concert. Watching Elyanna perform on stage was a moment of pure magic — a much-needed escape from their treatments after their injuries in Gaza. We are deeply grateful for your compassion and for standing with us in our mission,' the post read. Elyanna will perform at this year's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix After-Race Concerts on Dec. 5 at the Etihad Park on Yas Island. The young star is expected to sing some of her most popular tracks, including 'Ghareeb Alay,' 'Mama Eh,' and her Arabic rendition of 'La Vie en Rose.' Her performance is a part of the Yasalam After-Race concerts, held alongside the Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, one of the UAE's biggest entertainment and sporting weekends. Elyanna joins a high-profile lineup of artists already announced for the four-night concert series, including Benson Boone on Dec. 4, Post Malone on Dec. 5, Metallica on Dec. 6 and Katy Perry on Dec. 7. Access to the concerts is exclusive to F1 ticket holders, with each night set to feature large-scale performances at the open-air Etihad Park. One of Elyanna's standout appearances was during Coldplay's four-night concert series in Abu Dhabi earlier this year, part of their 'Music of the Spheres' world tour. In April, Coldplay announced that Elyanna had again teamed up with the band to release a new version of 'Ma Meilleure Ennemie,' a track originally performed by Belgian artist Stromae and French singer Pomme.
