6-foot hot dog on offer at St. Paul Saints games this year
Baseball season is about to begin, and the Land of 10,000 Lakes will become the Land of 10,000 Calories.
At least that's the new name for it at CHS Field in St. Paul. The St. Paul Saints are serving up
a 6-foot-long hot dog
— and yes, it's just one hot dog.
The dog is loaded with pulled pork, mac and cheese, french fries and jalapeños.
It comes with fries and four drinks — just enough to share with a few of your friends.
In other porcine baseball news, the Saints' 2025 ballpig has a name: The Great Fatsby, in homage to St. Paul's own
F. Scott Fitzgerald
.
"With a steady, purposeful gait, The Great Fatsby entered CHS Field dressed to impress," the Saints said. "In a luxurious, well-tailored pink suit, a hoof ring, and a cane, he put the other swines on notice: he was here to do the job like no other pig has ever done in Saints history."
The Saints open their season on Friday, just a day after
the Minnesota Twins do the same

Cameron Jordan's game-winning sack vs. Falcons is the Saints Play of the Day
Cameron Jordan's game-winning sack vs. Falcons is the Saints Play of the Day Jordan sealed a win in Atlanta on Thanksgiving Day back in 2019 There are 94 days to go until the New Orleans Saints start their 2025 season, which makes one of Cameron Jordan's best moments our pick for the Saints Play of the Day. Facing the archrival Atlanta Falcons back in 2019 with an NFC South title on the line, Jordan led the Saints defense with a standout performance that won him recognition as the NFC Defensive Player of the Week. Jordan was credited with four sacks, six tackles, and a pass deflection on the Thanksgiving Day nightcap. And his best play of the day sealed the win for New Orleans. Jordan sacked Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan for a fourth time on fourth down. Holding onto a 26-18 lead with the possibility of overtime in play, Jordan rushed off the left side and got past rookie first-round pick Kaleb McGary. Ryan never saw him coming, and Jordan brought the QB down for a turnover on downs with just seconds remaining. Drew Brees kneeled to run out the clock and the Saints won the day, and a division championship, too. You can see that highlight and all of Jordan's big plays here.

Derek Carr on retiring: I didn't want to 'just take the Saints money'
New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr shocked the NFL world last month when he announced his retirement due to an ongoing shoulder injury that would require surgery and likely sideline him for the entire 2025 season. But why did Carr decide to retire, rather than get healthy while under contract for the Saints? "That part was tough [leaving money on the table] because I didn't want to have surgery and just sit there, and it sounds crazy, but just take the Saints money," Carr said in an interview with Front Office Sports. Carr, 34, was entering the third season of a four-year, $150 million contract. His 2024 campaign was hindered by an oblique injury, which sidelined Carr for three games, and later a season-ending hand injury. Across the 10 games that Carr appeared in, he totaled 2,145 passing yards, 15 passing touchdowns, five interceptions and a 101.0 passer rating, while completing 67.7% of his passes. He ranked seventh among quarterbacks in passing grade (86.7) and 11th in overall grade (85.6), according to Pro Football Focus. "I wouldn't have been able to play if I had the surgery," Carr said. "And then if I tried to play with it, I wasn't near 100%, and so that doesn't help them, either. I just felt like it was the right thing to do for myself and for the team." When Carr retired, the Saints stated that the quarterback had a "labral tear" and "significant degenerative changes to his rotator cuff." Carr, a four-time Pro Bowler, spent the first nine seasons of his NFL career with the Raiders (2014-22), with whom he's first in franchise history with both 35,222 passing yards and 217 passing touchdowns. In his first season with the Saints (2023), Carr totaled 3,878 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, eight interceptions and a 97.7 passer rating, while completing 68.4% of his passes. New Orleans went 9-8 and missed the playoffs. "I never played just for the money," Carr said. "I had a whole bunch of people tell me how crazy I was, and 'Man, I would never have done that.' That's all cool, but I've gained all these things that the world has to offer, and it doesn't really do anything for your heart. I knew my heart was at peace, and that's really all that mattered." As for the Saints, they selected Louisville quarterback Tyler Shough with the No. 40 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and have 2024 fifth-rounder Spencer Rattler, who made six starts as a rookie, and Jake Haener in their quarterback room. 94 days till the Arizona Cardinals' 2025 season opener: Who has worn No. 94?
94 days till the Arizona Cardinals' 2025 season opener: Who has worn No. 94? With 94 days till the Cardinals open the season against the Saints, we look at the players who have worn No. 94. We are counting down to the start of the 2025 regular season for the Arizona Cardinals and are now less than 14 weeks away. They will open the season on the road against the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 7. That is 94 days away. As we count down the remaining days of the offseason, let's look at who has worn that number uniform over the years for the Cardinals. Who has worn No. 94? Cardinals players to wear No. 94 No. 94 currently belongs to one of the Cardinals' big offseason additions — defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson. He is expect to have a big impact on the play up front defensively. DL Dalvin Tomlinson (2025-?) DL P.J. Mustipher (2024) DL Carlos Watkins (2023) DL Zach Allen (2020-2022) DL Caraun Reid (2019) DL Cameron Malveaux (2018) DL Xavier Williams (2015-2017) LB Sam Acho (2011-2014) DL Keilen Dykes (2009) DL Antonio Smith (2006-2008) DL Antonio Cochran (2005) DL Peppi Zellner (2004) DL Marcus Bell (2001-2003) DL Corey Sears (1999-2000) DL Bernard Wilson (1994-1998) LB David Merritt (1993) DL Jeff Faulkner (1991-1992) DL Gary Dulin (1986) No. 94 is another number that has only been used in the last 40 years. It has also been mostly a number for less impactful and transient players, although Wilson was solid for five seasons and Antonio Smith was a key piece to their Super Bowl run in 2008. Based on this list, Tomlinson is the best player to wear it even before he plays a down. Let's hope that he continues his career play so that is a reality.
