DAVE KING insists the new American owners WILL make Rangers the 'dominant force' in Scotland again.
The takeover saga ended last Friday when Andrew Cavenagh and his San Francisco 49ers backers were handed the keys to Ibrox in a £90million deal.

Former chairman King said: 'The owners are coming in with a real commitment to make Rangers the dominant force in Scotland.
"That's what this project is about. It's not about winning one or two titles.
"It's about the next ten or 20 years and that's why I'm excited.
'They are the right people. We know they have got the resources to do this.
'They are not going to come and just spend the money.
"They are smart, clever business people.
'They have done a great job with Leeds, if you look at the numbers.
"Things like the commercial revenue, I believe they have quadrupled it over four or five years.
'They understand football. They understand all of the other things — the gaming side, the media side — that are important if you're to be a modern football club.
'And if we're going to continue to have to operate in the markets that we want to operate in and be successful in Europe we need that.

King was delighted to finally get the deal over the line.
The Castlemilk-born tycoon has sold his shares to the Cavenagh consortium, ending his 25-year association with his boyhood heroes.
While King is predicting wholesale change, he's warned Gers fans it won't happen overnight.
He added: 'It's going to be a steady, ongoing improvement.
"But what we shouldn't be expecting is for it to turn around in one transfer window.
'I'm just hoping that the supporters understand that.
'We'll all expect to see a far better quality of player coming in than is going out.
'Part of my frustration is we've brought guys in, and all of a sudden he's not fit yet or he needs more time.
'The league was a third gone and we were still waiting for players to put their shirt on for the first time.
"You can't be doing that. We need to bring in people who are ready to go.
'They know that and that's why I still remain confident because these Euro qualifiers will be on us before we know it.'

A young conservative organization in Washington, D.C., is celebrating a milestone and hosting Vice President JD Vance as it tries to map out the future for the MAGA movement and the Republican Party. The nonprofit organization American Compass is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a special 'New World Gala' at the National Building Museum. The organization, founded in 2020, is working for Republicans to think differently on policy questions, including by grabbing the third rail of sacrosanct political principles that have traditionally been the core ideals of the conservative movement. In Washington, political think tanks tend to excel after they win the attention of powerful interests. Policy nerds and former Congressional staffers also win new status in the city after they are lifted up into the spotlight and many get employed to put their ideas into practice. In just five years, the group has acquired significant influence in the Republican Party. In 2023, then-Senator JD Vance appeared at a forum sponsored by the organization and celebrated the 'familiar' and 'bright smiling faces' in the room. Vance and some of his political staff are tied to the organization as they pursue new policy ideas as an 'unconventional' Republican. Rather than just getting government out of the way of the markets, Vance has argued for using taxes and subsidies to incentivize better behavior for businesses. 'Let's tax the things we want to see less of and lets subsidize the things we want to see more of,' he argued, clarifying he did not want to see a 'larger federal government' but wanted a more efficient government that responded to it's citizens. In the same speech, he criticized 'all the woke bulls****,' going on in American businesses earning him a few laughs from the audience. The organization credits Vance and his policies for lifting up their status in Washington. 'No figure in American politics has more effectively advocated for American families and workers than Vice President JD Vance,' American Compass communications director Theresa Braid said to the Daily Mail. She cited Vance's work in the Senate and the White House as well as his book Hillbilly Elegy, which chronicles the struggles that working class voters in America face. 'Vice President Vance has led the charge to speak for the Americans that our elites have forgotten,' she continued. 'It is an honor to have him join our celebration of the movement that he has helped build.' Other prominent Republicans on the right who are connected with the group include Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Senators Tom Cotton of Arkansas, Todd Young of Ohio, Jim Banks from Indiana and Bernie Moreno from Ohio. Together they describe themselves as 'The New Right' and focus intently on the goal of building a movement that focuses on building American families, a stronger American workforce, and a more purposeful economic policy. The organization is trying to nurture an intellectual and policy centric MAGA movement in D.C. to back President Donald Trump's political movement that reshaped the Republican Party almost entirely based off his experience in business and gut instinct. The organization was founded by former Mitt Romney aide Oren Cass who continues to promote the idea that policy should be focused on the American citizens first instead of focusing entirely on the growth and expansion of free markets. Cass appeared on the Daily Show to defend Trump's economic policies despite the chaotic nature of his presidency, asserting that Republicans were focused on policies that would help strengthen communities and first. 'I have a great deal of hope that as that moves to be the center of the party, you really are going to see a different Republican party that still loves markets and wants them to work, but has a much better understanding of their limitation, has much more concern for what is happening to typical working families and wants to figure out how to keep their conservative principles but apply them somehow to use public policy and make things better,' he explained to Stewart. Cass expressed optimism that 'the policy wonks, researchers, writers, journalists, lawyers, folks sort of 40 and under,' were 'overwhelmingly oriented' to a new way of thinking. The group briefly employed Sen. Marco Rubio's prominent chief of staff Michael Needham in 2024 before he left in 2025 to rejoin Rubio at the State Department. Needham got his start at the prominent Heritage foundation think tank which helped fuel conservative ideology and shake up the Republican establishment in Washington, DC during the Tea Party era. The fledgling group American Compass has already sparked opposition from other conservative non-profit organizations in Washington, DC who have spent decades defending Reagan-era policies the ideas of free markets, free trade, and tax cuts. Cass is now promoting his new book: The New Conservatives: Restoring America's Commitment to Family, Community, and Industry which outlines some of the organization's biggest ideas for the country.

JD Wetherspoon bringing back Brunch Burger for limited time
The Brunch Burger returned to Wetherspoon pubs across the UK for a limited time back in 2023 after a 10-year hiatus. It has made several brief appearances since then and is returning to menus again in 2025. But you'll have to be quick, as it will only be available for three days. The Brunch Burger will be available for one weekend only, so you'll need to be quick. (Image: JD Wetherspoon) Wetherspoon's Brunch Burger features a 100% British beef patty (6oz), American-style cheese, maple-cured bacon, fried free-range egg and topped with a hash brown made from 100% British potato. The meal includes chips, six beer-battered onion rings and a drink and will cost up to £9.99 (with a soft drink) and £11.52 (with an alcoholic drink). Wetherspoon's Brunch Burger has received high praise over the years, being described as "the best ever". One person, posting on X (formerly Twitter), said: "Brunch burger is the best." Another added: "Brunch burger: best burger ever!!!" "Brunch burger: best burger ever!!! History nut Joe Heyes hopes his next Wikipedia rabbit hole will be all about Argentina – as that will mean he has secured a place in England's summer squad. The Leicester Tigers prop loves swotting up on destinations he visits and has no shortage of information to get stuck into this summer. Securing a spot on the plane is the first challenge but Heyes appears well set to do just that after featuring off the bench in each of England's Six Nations matches earlier this year. The 26-year-old said: "I'm madly passionate about history. I google the most ridiculous things and go from there. "I went on holiday to Tenerife, and I was sitting by the pool and just stuck in the Wikipedia hole about the place. I learnt that it was used as a Spanish shipping station to get to the Americas. "I will absolutely be researching before I go to Argentina. My favourite part of Argentine history is the Age of Discovery when Europeans first arrived and explored South America, establishing towns and cities." Heyes played an essential role off the bench behind Will Stuart in the Six Nations and now looks set to benefit from the Bath star's selection in the British & Irish Lions squad touring Australia. The Tigers front-rower even got on the scoresheet in the 68-14 win over Wales at Principality Stadium, his first international try, and hopes to add to his 17 caps this summer. The Rest Is History podcast fan will know all about conflicts between England and France in the past and the latest comes on the Allianz Stadium turf on June 21 before they head over the Atlantic. "I was really happy with the way things went in the Six Nations," Heyes said. "I got the taste of Test match rugby, and I obviously want more of it. "We've got a good challenge coming in Argentina and America, and France before that, so I'm excited. Hopefully if I'm selected to get the shirt on and play." Heyes' domestic commitments are not done yet, however, with his Leicester side welcoming Sale Sharks to Mattioli Woods Welford Road in the play-offs on Saturday. The prop tasted success with the East Midlands outfit when they won the league in 2022 and he has his sights set on repeating the feat. "We've treated nearly every game like a Prem final because it has been really, as it's been so tight at the top,' he said. 'There have been some properly tough games. "There have also been a few jokes with the Sale lads about when we beat Sharks at Welford Road. We're happy with playing in Leicester and we can't wait for it.'
