
Uttarakhand Govt transfers 25 IAS, 12 PCS officers
Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], May 11 (ANI): In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Uttarakhand government transferred 25 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and 12 Provincial Civil Service (PCS) officers.
The decision was taken on Saturday by the Uttarakhand government.
Meanwhile, the Char Dham Yatra began in Uttarakhand, and over four lakh devotees visited the state during the first nine days of the yatra.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami acknowledged and welcomed the large number of devotees visiting the four Dhams on Saturday and reassured the public of the safety measures ensured by the government.
'Every year, a large number of devotees visit Devbhoomi, Uttarakhand for the Char Dham Yatra,' the chief minister said, adding, 'Our government is continuously working to make the journey smooth, safe and well organised.'
The Char Dham Yatra 2025 officially began on April 30 with the opening of the Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham on Akshaya Tritiya amid Vedic chants and rituals. The doors of Kedarnath Dham were opened on May 2, and those of Badrinath on May 4.
Earlier on Tuesday, a 24-hour ban was enforced on the usage of horses and mules in the Kedarnath Yatra, an official said on Monday.The administration took the following reported deaths of some horses and mules here.
Yesterday, eight horses and mules died, while today, six of them died. We wanted to ascertain the reason behind it. Tomorrow, a team from the Centre will also come to check the reason for deaths...' said BVRC Purushottam, Secretary, Animal Husbandry (Uttarakhand).
Additionally, CM Dhami, on May 3, asserted that the safe travel of the devotees at the Kedarnath Temple is the state government's top priority.
The government has provided quick health facilities to the devotees, specialist doctors have been deployed along with the expansion of health services.
Rudraprayag district is very sensitive from the disaster point of view, so a separate mobile network has been established in the district.
The devotees arriving for the darshan of Baba Kedar in Kedarpuri will now have free Wi-Fi. The devotees have expressed happiness over this and expressed gratitude to the government and the district administration. (ANI)

"Taking full care of patients," Bengaluru's Bowring and Lady Curzon hospital administers to 11 injured in stadium stampede
Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], June 5 (ANI): In the wake of the stampede at M Chinnaswamy Stadium that claimed 11 lives and injured 33 others, Medical authorities at Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital reported receiving six bodies and 18 injured on the day of the incident. Speaking to the media, Medical superintendent Dr T. Kemparaju said, 'After the stampede, we received 18 injured persons and six bodies. Out of the 18 injured persons, eight received treatment and went home, and the remaining 10 patients were admitted to the hospital for observation. Among the 10 persons admitted to the hospital, three sustained fractures in the legs. We have received instructions to take full care of the patients.' Meanwhile, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the incident. The tragedy unfolded when thousands of fans overwhelmed the stadium area during Royal Challengers Bangalore's IPL victory celebration. Karnataka Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara confirmed that the state government had no role in organising the event. 'We did not request RCB or the KCA, they organised it (the victory celebration). They are the ones who brought the team to Bengaluru. The government also felt it should facilitate this, as it was the Bengaluru team. I feel very sorry that this incident happened,' Parameshwara said after inspecting the site. CM Siddaramaiah, addressing the media, said, '11 died and 33 were injured in the stampede. This tragedy should not have happened. The government expresses deep sorrow over this incident.' He announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh for the families of the deceased and assured that all the injured will receive free medical treatment. 'I have ordered a magisterial inquiry and given 15 days. People even broke the gates of the stadium. There was a stampede. No one expected such a huge crowd. The stadium has a capacity of only 35,000 people, but 2-3 lakh people came,' the Chief Minister said, underlining the scale of the crowd and security strain. The Home Minister will convene a meeting with Bengaluru Police Commissioner, senior police officials, DCPs, and Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) representatives at the stadium on Thursday to review crowd management lapses. Delhi CM Rekha Gupta inaugurates Dhanuka waiting area at AIIMS
New Delhi [India], June 5 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated the Dhanuka waiting area at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi. CM Rekha Gupta also participated in the hawan and pooja to inaugurate the waiting area. Speaking to the media, CM Rekha Gupta said that the AIIMS hospital was in a disarray, but the facilities have improved in the last 10 years. She also thanked Dhanuka Group, the agro product manufacturers, for their CSR initiative towards AIIMS. 'AIIMS is the biggest hospital. AIIMS tackle about five lakh OPDs annually. Even though Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working towards creating 22 AIIMS in the country, AIIMS Delhi has its significance. Before 2014, this hospital was in disarray. In the last 10 years, AIIMS facilities have improved... I congratulate Dhanuka Group for this waiting hall as their CSR initiative...' she said. Talking about the significance of the waiting area, she said, 'There is no place for the attendant to sit, and they have to search for a place, sometimes they sit on the roads. But this waiting hall is a big facility for the attendants of those CRS initiatives add to the facilities and beauty of the city.' The Delhi Chief Minister also planted a tree at the AIIMS premises as part of the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign. CM Rekha Gupta on Wednesday said that major projects worth Rs 35,000 crore under NHAI are currently being built in the national capital, while earlier projects worth Rs 64,000 crore have been completed. More projects worth Rs 24,000 crore are also set to begin soon. The meeting was held at the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Delhi. CM Gupta thanked the Central Government and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for approving and completing several major road and infrastructure projects in the city. During the press conference, Rekha Gupta said, 'I want to thank the Central Government and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for the massive support given to Delhi through several important road and infrastructure projects. Right now, a major project worth Rs 35,000 crore is being built in Delhi under the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). Earlier, projects worth Rs 64,000 crore were successfully completed.
