New Delhi — Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched two new premium motorcycles in India — the CB750 Hornet and the CB1000 Hornet SP. Bookings are now open, with deliveries set to begin from June 2025.
The CB750 Hornet is priced at Rs 8.59 lakh, while the CB1000 Hornet SP is priced at Rs 12.35 lakh (ex-showroom Gurugram). The CB750 Hornet will be available at all BigWing and BigWing Topline dealerships, while the CB1000 Hornet SP will be sold exclusively through BigWing Topline outlets.

Aimed at young performance enthusiasts, both motorcycles showcase a bold streetfighter design under the 'Aggressive X Pure' styling concept. Highlights include muscular tank shrouds, sharp bodywork, and an all-LED lighting setup. The CB750 Hornet is available in Matte Pearl Glare White and Matte Ballistic Black Metallic, while the CB1000 Hornet SP comes in a single Matte Ballistic Black Metallic colour with gold accents.

Powering the CB750 Hornet is a 755cc parallel-twin engine delivering 67.5 kW and 75 Nm, while the CB1000 Hornet SP features a 999cc inline-four engine producing 115.6 kW and 107 Nm. Both engines are mated to a 6-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch. The CB1000 Hornet SP also comes equipped with a bi-directional quickshifter.
Both bikes feature advanced rider aids including selectable riding modes, dual-channel ABS, Honda Selectable Torque Control, and emergency stop signal. The CB750 Hornet offers four riding modes, while the CB1000 Hornet SP adds two user-customizable modes.
Suspension duties are handled by SHOWA inverted forks on both bikes, with the CB1000 Hornet SP getting an Öhlins TTX36 rear shock. Braking is managed by dual front discs and a rear disc, with Brembo calipers featured on the flagship model.
A 5.0-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity via Honda RoadSync enables navigation, call alerts, and music control. Bookings can also be made online through the Honda BigWing website.
With aggressive styling, tech-forward features, and powerful engines, the new Hornets aim to make a strong mark in India's growing premium motorcycle segment.

These are only indicative figures and are likely to be changed: According to the 2025-26 Handbook of the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, for postgraduate courses such as M. Chem. Engg., M. Tech., M. Pharm., and M.E. (Plastic Engineering), the fee structure is as follows: Library Deposit (one-time): Rs 5,000 Academic Fees: Rs 62,750 Other Fees (including contingency): Rs 38,250 Total Fees: Rs 1,06,000 Second Year Fees: Rs. 1,01,000/- *Note: Contingency amount for Masters students admitted under various fellowships will be as per the norms of respective sponsoring funding agencies. Fee Structure for Ph.D. Programmes at ICT for the Academic Year 2025–26: Library Deposit (one-time): Rs 5,000 Academic Fees (1st Year): Rs 51,250 Other Fees (including contingency): Rs 45,000 Total (1st Year): Rs 1,01,250 From the second year onwards, the annual fee is Rs 96,250.

JK Cement buys stake in J&K-based Saifco

JK Cement has completed the acquisition of a majority 60 per cent stake in Jammu & Kashmir-based Saifco Cements for Rs 150 crore, formalising a joint venture with the company. This makes the JK Organisation group firm as the first major cement manufacturer to set up manufacturing operations in Srinagar, signalling a step towards regional economic empowerment, according to a joint statement. As per the shareholders' agreement between the company and its promoters, JK Cement will acquire management control and hold 60 per cent of the paid-up capital of Saifco. 'The investment of Rs 149.81 crore would be paid to the existing promoters of Saifco and also to Saifco for acquisition of 60 per cent equity capital of Saifco,' it said. Following this, Saifco Cements has become a subsidiary of JK Cement with immediate effect. Moreover, the 'board of the Saifco shall be re-constituted and three persons nominated by the company will be appointed as additional directors on the board of Saifco and two directors will continue to represent the existing promoter and promoter group of Saifco,' it said. Incorporated in 1997, Saifco has an integrated plant in Khonmoh (Srinagar) and is manufacturing OPC with a clinker capacity of 0.26 MnTPA and a grinding capacity of 0.42 MnTPA. Its turnover for 2024-25 was at Rs 73.17 crore. JK Cement Managing Director Raghavpat Singhania said, 'We are pleased to welcome the Saifco Cements family into the JK Cement family. The Jammu & Kashmir market has untapped potential for local manufacturing, and with our combined expertise, we aim to transform the region and ensure benefits for the communities.'
