IT'S the viral autumn buy that has everyone in a chokehold - the Marks & Spencer's checked coat.
The trending wardrobe staple has already been dubbed ''THE buy of autumn-winter'', taking the internet by storm.

However, if you're not ready to fork out for the eye-watering £90 price tag, don't worry - you can still rock a similar look for more than half-price.
According to thrifty fashionistas, a rival retailer is flogging their own version of the checked piece - and it's currently on sale too.
Informing others about the epic find, one style lover, Polly, took to TikTok to show off the gorgeous jacket.

''If you've been looking for the viral M&S autumn check jacket but you haven't been able to get your hands on one, then I might have just the thing for you.
''I've found a super similar one,'' she said in the video.
The must-have autumn piece - Corduroy Collar Twill Jacket - is a near-identical alternative to the viral M&S coat and is available at H&M for just £34.
Similarly to the popular M&S buy, this stunning H&M jacket boasts a chic corduroy collar in a deep burgundy-brown colour.

The jacket, which is lined, comes with a zip down the front, forward-facing shoulder seams and long sleeves - ideal for keeping toasty in the colder months ahead.
Just like the pricey version, the affordable jacket also features two pockets at the front - however, the buy is shorter and doesn't have the gold button detailing.
Polly, who posts under the username @pollydunseath, went on: ''This one is more of a cropped, boxy fit.
'Dunnes Stores have done it again', say fashion fan over new chic & effortless office co-ord for autumn
''It's still got the check with the corduroy collar - and it's half the price of the Marks & Spencer's one.
''I love it as a cute alternative,'' she said in the comments.

Cash-savvy fashionistas can get their hands on the jacket in sizes ranging from XXS to XL - however, the stock may vary from store to store.
Why Everyone Is Loving M&S
Deputy Fashion Editor Abby McHale revealed to Fabulous why M&S is the shop of the moment. She explained:
'M&S has really pulled it out of the bag this season, there is so much good product to be excited about.
'A brand once known for its 'frumpy fashion' that notion is long gone with it now being one of the leading high street stores for womenswear.
'Its handbag range in particular is super strong with them selling 170% vs plan, with lots more designer dupes for just a fraction of the price.
'The brand is now also the #1 for style perceptions, compared to the #3 spot it had last year, this comes from a really strong design team focused on modernising the brand, not only taking into consideration how the pieces look, but how easy they are to wear also.
'Price is also a big factor with you being able to get many good quality pieces all for under £30.
'After having a sneak peak of the upcoming collection there are so many more amazing pieces that are dropping over the next few months to keep your eyes on.
'Think leopard print dresses, colourful co-ords, embroidered boho jackets, plus lots of swimwear and amazing accessories, as well as great wardrobe staples that will last year on year.'
As the piece is sure to become a major hit amongst fashionistas, it's best to head to the local store - or H&M website - pronto to avoid disappointment.
The clip, posted just a day ago, has already taken the internet by storm, amassing over 10k views.
One M&S shopper commented: ''I found it but the smallest size in store was an 8 and it was MASSIVE on me.
''It looked really silly so I had to leave it behind, so gutted.''

Another chimed in: ''Omgggg it's cute!!!''
''Not so warm or for rain,'' someone else thought.

I spent 50p on my outfit for my pal's wedding & wore work trousers… trolls say it's 'sad' but I like being frugal A WEDDING guest has been branded ''really sad'' after she spent 50p on the outfit for her friend's big day. Desperate to find something more appropriate for the ceremony, the Londoner headed to the local charity shop ''to see what they had in store''. Unfortunately, there weren't many wedding-friendly options available, she said in the video. ''It was just mainly casual-wear. But in the end I found a nice sequin top - it was from George Asda and it was 50p.'' For the special occasion, the wedding guest teamed the shiny olive green top with her black ''work trousers'', a black cardigan on top, as well as a second-hand ''work bag'' originally from Primark. ''There's no point in buying a new bag, it's a waste of money, it's for one event only,'' the frugal Londoner explained. Although the TikToker ''would've preferred'' to sport heels, she didn't have any luck finding a pair in her size - and ended up wearing her go-to sandals. ''For the finishing touches, I wore some foundation which was a freebie and then some tinted lip balm as well, and a freebie perfume to put it all off.'' She went on in the caption: ''My friends wedding has come around so quick. I had great fun and only spent 50p.'' ''You should treat yourself to a nice dress for special occasions.'' Strictly's Vicky Pattison proves feud with Sam Thompson is over as she poses with star after finally unblocking him

STRICTLY Come Dancing's Vicky Pattison has proved that her feud with Sam Thmpson is officially over, as she posed with the star after unblocking him on social media. Vicky's years-long feud with fellow reality TV alum Sam Thompson is no secret. 4 Strictly Come Dancing's Vicky has proved that her feud with Sam Thmpson is officially over Credit: vickypattison/Instagram 4 Vicky posted photos with various people she's grateful for Credit: Instagram 4 It all kicked off in 2017 when Geordie Shore legend Vicky criticised Sam's sister Credit: TikTok/@stayingrelevant_podcast They've been regulars on the reality TV circuit for more than a decade and delivered hours of entertainment off and on screen. But they've also clashed a number of times in the past. It all kicked off in 2017 when Geordie Shore legend Vicky criticised Sam's sister, Louise Thompson, over her working out on holiday. Made In Chelsea star Sam then hit back in a video of his own, saying only he was allowed to mock his sister. The war of words quickly escalated and Vicky responded by blocking Sam on social media – a block that would last for five years. But clearly putting that feud behind them, the pair now looked in great spirits as they posed for a photo together. Vicky took to social media to share a carousel of images with people she's 'grateful' for. The reality star penned to her millions of followers: 'There's been a lot to smile about recently... but mostly, it's the people in my life I feel grateful for you 🥹🩷 'Tag the people you're grateful for in my comments... and let them know what they mean to you.' Strictly Come Dancing 2025 lineup IN FULL - including Game of Thrones star & famous YouTuber Vicky looked in great spirits as she posed with Strictly's Luba in the first photo, during a glam night out. Then, in another shot, she could be seen standing with Sam, as he put his arm around her and gazed in her direction. The telly stars looked delighted to be in each other's company. Things got frosty between the pals in the past when Sam appeared on Celebrity Big Brother. Viewers saw him get upset after he was warned in the Diary Room for flicking fellow housemate Jemma Lucy's nipple. Vicky, appearing on Big Brother's Bit on the Side, pulled no punches. Speaking about the incident to Rylan, she slammed his behaviour and said: 'I think there are two ways to look at this. "One, he got upset because he knew it was a joke, Jemma knew it was a joke and he didn't mean any offence by it. "Secondly, because he's an entitled little rat who is used to always getting what he wants.' The 'rat' remark ensured the feud had well and truly taken root. Despite having a mutual friend in Towie's Pete Wicks – who is Vicky's best mate and later became one of Sam's closest pals – the two reality stars stayed firmly out of each other's way. Vicky only lifted the block on Sam in 2022 after they unexpectedly bumped into each other at a Harry Potter premiere. But while both became close friends with Pete, they were rarely in the same room at the same time.
