Man sought after deadly shooting reported in Gallatin
GALLATIN, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities are searching for a man following a deadly shooting in Gallatin Thursday morning.
The Gallatin Police Department said it responded to a home at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 6 after a person was found dead by a relative.

As part of the ongoing investigation into this 'domestic shooting death,' law enforcement said they're trying to find Little Page Drake III for a welfare check and information about the situation. He is believed to be driving a 2007 Honda Ridgeline truck with Tennessee license plate 727BNDY.

'This investigation remains active, and officers are working diligently to gather information and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident,' officials said in a statement.

‘Bring Kilmar home': Protesters gathered outside Nashville federal court for Kilmar Abrego Garcia
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Tensions ran high outside a Nashville federal courthouse as dozens of protesters rallied to support Kilmar Abrego Garcia. While the hearing was taking place inside, protesters gathered outside the Fred D. Thompson Federal Building and Courthouse — holding signs, chanting and delivering emotional speeches to the crowd. They demanded three things: due process for Abrego Garcia, for the abolition of Immigrations and Customs Enforcement and an end to what they called the weaponization of the U.S. Government. Wife of Kilmar Abrego Garcia spoke before hearing 'The way this whole thing has been handled has been illegal and racist,' Rebecca Bornac, a resident in Nashville, said. 'I wanted Kilmar to know we support him, and we support his right to a fair trial.' Abrego Garcia was deported to an El Salvador prison in March. He's been accused of conspiring to bring undocumented immigrants to the U.S. from 2016 to 2025. 'As a citizen of the United States, I am deeply sorry and ashamed for the treatment that my country has visited upon Mr. Abrego Garcia, which violates our core principles as a people and his rights on U.S. soil,' Ian Montgomery, Organizer with United Volunteers and Organizers for Tennessee expressed. Speeches continued for almost three hours, and some participants went into the courtroom to listen in to the arraignment firsthand. 'He was in an orange jumpsuit, and everything was peaceful and fine,' Margaret Pitts, a resident in Nashville, explained. 'To be a part of it and witness it felt really important.' 'We are people, Nashvillians, Tennesseans, standing up for what is right, standing up for our constitution for our neighbors and due process,' a protester expressed. The protest wrapped up around 11:30 a.m. due to inclement weather, but event organizers told News 2 they will be back out again on Saturday for 'No Kings' at Bicentennial Capital Mall State Park. Giles County deputies arrest couple for connection to fraud scheme targeting home contractors
GILES COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A couple is accused of using fake names to hire multiple contractors and not paying them after doing their jobs. According to the Giles County Sheriff's Office, Nicholas Barnes and his wife, Ashley, were arrested Wednesday night and charged with theft of services and criminal conspiracy. 'I'm aware of at least three contractors who did the work for Nicholas Barnes and his wife, Ashley Barnes,' Investigator Steve Almada with the GCSO. 'Since the work was completed none of them has been paid for any of their services.' Man robbed of $30K Rolex after meeting woman on Broadway, police say According to Almada, the couple is building a home in Giles County and has failed to pay at least three contractors approximately $60,000. 'From what I'm told, there are additional contractors involved with them, to date, that have not been paid for their services either,' Almada added. Nicholas Barnes—who sometimes uses the alias John Fritz—is reportedly wanted for similar crimes in New York. 'You're telling me they are building a house on property they do not own?' asked News 2's Andy Cordan. 'That is highly irregular.' 'That is correct,' replied Almada. Man breaks into Hendersonville store, gets injured in shootout with owner: police According to the Davidson County Clerk's Office, the couple was indicted in 2024 for charges of theft over $60-$250,000. News 2 spoke Contrast Cine, a Nashville company that rents film equipment specializing in cameras and lenses. One of the managers reported they remember the Barnes' renting five expensive lenses and then later claiming that the lenses were lost. According to the manager, the lens were used, but to replace them would cost about $90,000. 'There appears to be fraudulent activity going on with some of the automobiles they own,' Almada added. Investigators in Giles County told News 2 that Nicholas was known to drive an exclusive Audi R8, which also raised red flags. 'The take away I believe is that they are involved in fraudulent activity, and they are victimizing quite a few people and I want to make sure they are brought to justice for all the people they are victimizing,' Almada concluded. Burglary suspect steals THC, vape products after shooting door of Clarksville business
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Police are working to identify a suspect connected to a burglary that took place in Clarksville earlier this week. The Clarksville Police Department the incident took place at approximately 3:14 a.m. on Tuesday, June 10 at EZ Mart in the 500 block of Neptune Drive. The suspect reportedly stole several THC and vape products from business before running away. Detectives said he was described as a male wearing a dark-colored Carhartt zip-up hoodie, black pants, black shoes and gray and orange gloves.
