Divya Dutta finally reveals why she never got married and still single at 47: 'Maine bahut galat haath pakade...'
Divya Dutta is one of the most celebrated Bollywood actresses, who has always carved her own path both on and off-screen. Apart from making a powerful impact with her craft in the industry, her personal life has been a rollercoaster. Her engagement broke off in 2025, and since, the actress decided to stay single and preferably unmarried.
Recently, in an interview with Hindi Rush, Divya shared her views on marriage and said, 'If you find a good partner, it's great to be married. If not, life moves on beautifully. It's better to nurture yourself than stay in a dysfunctional marriage. Rather than lowering yourself in a relationship, it's better to love yourself. There's a lot of male attention coming my way and I enjoy that, but a relationship should happen when you connect. You feel that the person can hold your hand. If that isn't there, I have many lovely friends around me, and I am there for myself.'
Dutta further revealed that she doesn't want to get married and seek companionship instead. Candling revealing why she is still unmarried at 47, the actress said, 'Kyunki mai ne bahut galat haath pakade hai.. Toh aap aisa seekhte hai.' She further added, 'Trial and error learning hoti hai jindagi mein. Mai toh bahut Yash Chopra, Karan Johar wali filmon ki, Karwa Chauth, yeh sab waali feeling rakhti thi. Lekin there comes a time when you feel, you look for completeness outside which is not necessary. Vo bhi seekhte hai. Vo bhi aap seekhte hai ki acha life partner aayega aisa jarruri nahi hai. Aap completeness apne mein aap mein dhunde tab aap koi aakar us cheej ko cherish kar skta hai.'
On the professional front, Divya was last seen in Laxman Utekar's Chhaava. The film, starring Vicky Kaushal, Akshaye Khanna and Rashmika Mandanna, was a huge success, earning Rs 807 crore at the box office. She will be next seen in Nastik. Helmed by Shailesh Verma, the film stars Arjun Rampal, Ihana Dhillon and Harshaali Malhotra. Its theatrical release date is yet to be announced.

Staying true to that aesthetic, the ensemble evokes the refined sophistication of the era. The standout feature, the palla, is designed with graceful scalloped edges, accented by a striking geometric arch and a fine gold zari border. Hand-embroidered with motifs reminiscent of classic architecture, it exudes understated opulence. The look was envisioned to be rich and regal, and Samantha delivered it flawlessly. Talking about the saree, Raw Mango wrote, 'True to the stylised shapes and architectural motifs seen in the design movement, the satin silk sari features a geometric arched scalloped palla with a gold zari hand-embroidered border. It is paired with the Ajmer natural silk blouse featuring stripes with 'gota' – an appliqué technique where pieces of metal ribbons are embroidered onto the fabric." Enhancing the saree's elegance, she opted for the Ajmer blouse that featured vertical stripes and traditional gota embellishments. Samantha's ensemble was a perfect homage to vintage glamour, reinterpreted with a contemporary twist. She kept the accessories minimal with delicate earrings and a statement cocktail ring. Her makeup was soft and natural, while a sleek low bun tied the look together, effortlessly elevating the vintage-inspired aesthetic. First Published: June 13, 2025, 09:02 IST
