We're officially ready for some fútbol.
Starting Saturday, June 14, the international 32-team FIFA Club World Cup lands at huge venues all over North America for 63 high-octane matches that run until July 13 when the Finals go down at East Rutherford, NJ's MetLife Stadium.
Prior to that championship showdown, eight big games are scheduled to take place at the Jets and Giants' home field.
The first five matches will be between a hodgepodge of clubs from all over the world. They are Brazil's SE Palmeiras, Portugal's FC Porto, Brazil's Fluminese FC, Germany's Borussia Dortmund, Egypt's Al-Ahly FC and South Korea's Ulsan Hyundai FC.
Their contests are part of the opening round where eight groups of four teams play their opponents once. Whoever finishes with the two best records advance to the round of 16. After that, every game will be a do or die elimination all the way to the Final.
'[FC Porto will] be heavy favorites in this group, but don't feel insurmountable in the way PSG and Atleti do,' MLS Soccer reports.
They also shared that 'Palmeiras have been the most successful team in Brazil – by a nose over Flamengo – over the past decade. They're integrating a ton of new faces (they sell more than Botafogo), including old friends Facundo Torres from Orlando and Micael from Houston.'
Given the hype surrounding the multinational competition, last-minute tickets are surprisingly cheap.

In a political climate often defined by division, this quiet success story underscores what is possible when operational planning is prioritized over rhetoric. This should include creating a new mega-event visa or electronic travel authorization program for certain accredited individuals (teams and support staff, referees and other technical officials, media and broadcast personnel, employees of organizing bodies and corporate sponsors), which could streamline the entire immigration process and establish unified eligibility standards across these key communities. The administration should invest in digital infrastructure that supports a single, cohesive worldwide application process and that modernizes the visa process. This would not only provide a better customer service experience, but also streamline processing, allowing the government to use its limited resources effectively and allowing the system to meet growing global demand with greater agility. Formalizing event-specific interagency coordination as a standard federal practice would help ensure consistent responses for these and other global events, regardless of the administration in office. These improvements are ultimately about refining a system that is poised to face even greater demands. The Club World Cup demonstrated that when the immigration system is empowered to operate strategically and collaboratively, it can meet even the most complex logistical challenges without compromising national security. The groundwork laid by the Trump administration was a meaningful step forward — one that deserves recognition and continued refinement. As America prepares to welcome the world again in 2026 and 2028, we have a valuable opportunity to build on this foundation. Billions of dollars are on the line and the stakes are high, both from an economic and foreign policy perspective. In rising to meet the demands of this tournament, the Trump administration demonstrated what competent, coordinated immigration planning can achieve. Now, the task ahead is to ensure that this early success becomes a lasting legacy — one that allows the U.S. to lead not just on the field, but at the border as well. Jed Stuart speaks out as father Ricky could be forced to axe son for NRL finals
Jed Stuart insists it's 'team-first' at the Raiders after addressing a brutal dilemma for his father and coach Ricky Stuart, who could be set to drop the winger ahead of Canberra's NRL finals campaign. The young Stuart has done a superb job filling in for Raiders speedster Savelio Tamale, who has been sidelined since round 14 with a knee injury. Tamale was in 'rookie of the year' calculations until suffering a dislocated kneecap in horror scenes during Canberra's big win over the Rabbitohs in June. Tamale scored six tries in his 14 games for the Raiders before suffering the injury. And he was leading the competition in tackle busts at one point during a brilliant start to his Canberra career, having played one NRL game with the Dragons in 2024. Tamale is expected to return for the Raiders in their round 26 clash against the Wests Tigers, in what will be a massive boost for the Raiders before the finals.
