Search for missing man at Silver Lake Flat in American Fork Canyon
UTAH COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — Utah County Search and Rescue crews are on scene after a report of a man that went missing Saturday evening.
Sgt. Ray Ormond with the Utah County Sheriff's Office confirms that a 31-year-old male paddleboarder went under the water around 7 p.m. and never resurfaced.
Crews from Utah County and other agencies are on scene assisting with the search. Due to the ongoing operations, the road up to Silver Lake Flat has been closed until further notice.

Urgent search for man who entered water at Oxfordshire lock
Emergency responders are conducting an urgent search for a young man who entered the water and "got into difficulty" at an Oxfordshire lock. William, 23, whose surname has not been released, was at Buscot Lock in Faringdon with a group of friends on the evening of Saturday, July 12. Gloucestershire Fire & Rescue Service received a call just after 9.10pm that William had "got into difficulty" in the water in the River Thames, and friends tried to retrieve him but were unable to do so. Temporary chief superintendent Lis Knight said: "Searches have been under way for William since last night, but despite these extensive and thorough searches of the water and the river banks, we have, as yet, not been able to locate him. "Officers from our specialist search team are continuing the search today. "We will continue our search for William until we have located him, and I would ask that his family's privacy is respected. One killed in Redwood Road crash near Utah Lake
SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah () — Redwood Road was shut down in both directions on Tuesday afternoon after a car rolled over near Utah Lake. The crash happened just before 1:30 p.m. on July 8, according to the Utah Department of Public Safety. A grey Audi sedan was driving northbound toward Saratoga Springs on Redwood Road when the driver 'failed to negotiate a turn' in the roadway. The Audi ran off the road, went through a fence and rolled. Airmed and local officers responded to the scene and started life-saving measures on the driver, but unfortunately, he died due to injuries. The driver, who was the sole occupant in the car, has not been identified. Parents of 18-year-old killed in car crash earlier this week speak out about loss and road safety
UTAH () —An 18-year-old tragically lost his life earlier this week in a car crash, and his loss is felt by many, including his parents. July 8th is a date that changed everything for Austin and Starling Knight. Utah Highway Patrol says their son, 18-year-old Bo Knight, died after losing control while driving north on state Route 68 near mile marker 14 in southern Utah County. PREVIOUS: One killed in Redwood Road crash near Utah Lake 'I could feel he was gone when we were just waiting for confirmation. I could feel he wasn't here anymore,' Starling Knight said. 'He got too fast, he's not making the corner and gets too far and goes across the line and is now on the other shoulder of the road, he has his seat belt on and there's a big power pole he just missed as he tried to bring it back over,' Austin Knight said. Starling Knight says she is doing whatever she can to feel close to him again. 'His room is right across from ours, and I've slept in it the last couple of nights, and just he's not there, and so to see that empty room, you miss just seeing your child,' Knight said. Bo was gearing up to go to Mountainland Technical College to pursue a career in the medical field. His parents said he was spunky, had a heart of gold, and was passionate about dancing and gymnastics. His mom said he was a peacemaker in the household and that he had a giving heart. His dad said he was a friend to all, and he would be the first to stick up for anyone who was being unfairly judged His parents are using their unimaginable loss to encourage others to be safe on the roads, saying speed and distraction are killers. While Bo's parents continue to grieve, his dad said one thing will always remain true, 'We just love him, and we hope he knows how much he was loved'.
