Meet the quarterfinalists in the 2025 U.S. Women's Amateur at Bandon Dunes

BANDON, Ore. — A grueling Thursday at Bandon Dunes has come to a close, and the 2025 U.S. Women's Amateur is down to eight golfers vying for the Robert Cox Trophy. After Thursday morning's Round of 32, winners were back on the course in the afternoon battling in the Round of 16, and eight golfers punched their ticket into the quarterfinals, which begin Friday afternoon. Among those advancing to the quarterfinals include the last two players into match play, the world's top-ranked amateur and a couple players looking for the biggest win of their lives. Here's a look at all eight quarterfinalists in the U.S. Women's Amateur at Bandon Dunes, as well as Friday matchups and TV information. No. 64 Arianna Lau The 64 seed is into the quarterfinals. Lau beat medalist and defending champion Rianne Malixi in the first round, then topped Golf Channel's Emilia Doran on Thursday morning before beating world No. 15 Carolina Lopez-Chacarra 5 and 4 to advance to Friday. Quotable: "I was just hoping to make -- get a spot in match play, and yeah, I just really cherish this opportunity to play such a good event and just learn, just play, perform well. So, yeah, I'm really excited." No. 41 Brooke Biermann Biermann overcame some adversity, missing a 2-foot putt on the par-5 18th to win her match 1 up. But on the playoff hole against Cindy Hsu, she knocked in a 5 footer for par on the par-4 first to advance to the quarterfinals. Quotable: "My dad was walking from 18 to 1 and he was like, shake it off. Brooke, you've been playing so good; chill out. It's hard to, but funny thing is I feel like the wind blocks out your thoughts. After that I was just like, okay. I did not hit -- I hit a good drive. I didn't hit a great iron shot. However, I was like I always try to find the positive." No. 4 Lyla Louderbaugh Lefty Lyla is on a roll this week. Louderbaugh took down USGA champion Asia Young in the Round of 32 before dispatching Katelyn Kong in the afternoon. The rising junior at Kansas is into the quarterfinals for the first time after losing in the Round of 64 last year. Quotable: "My caddie says this is typical Bandon weather, so excited to see what the next few days hold for that. But I'm used to the wind. Kansas we get a lot of wind. I'm grateful that we get to play Prairie Dunes out in Hutchinson, Kansas, I think it is. It gets gusty out there as well. It's kind of a linksy-style course. But I knew you're going to miss greens and it's all about grinding to get those pars and going from there." No. 12 Kiara Romero The world's top-ranked amateur has looked the part this week, taking control of all her matches. Thursday afternoon, she won 4 and 3 to make it into the quarterfinals. She's looking for her second USGA title, the first being the 2023 U.S. Girls' Junior. Quotable: "I think it brings out the aggressiveness in my game and just being able to attack every pin and not a lot to think about, and just kind of put the foot on the gas right from the start." No. 63 Ella Scaysbrook Playing in her first USGA event, the Australian has put on a show on a course she says is familiar to ones back home near Melbourne. She beat Asterisk Talley in the Round of 64 and then, Thursday afternoon, knocked off world No. 10 amateur Jasmine Koo 4 and 3 to punch her ticket to the quarterfinals. Quotable: "Definitely stay patient. I've had a little bit of experience this wind down in Melbourne is where most of our events are at home. It's pretty similar to this. Similar course, similar everything. Yeah, just stayed patient and confident pretty much." No. 23 Taylor Kehoe The ninth extra-holes match of the U.S. Women's Amateur goes to the Canadian, who downed Rayee Feng in 23 holes to advance into the quarterfinals. She is the second Michigan State player (Biermann) to advance to the quarterfinals. No. 3 Eila Galitsky Eila Galitsky has been one of the best players at Bandon Dunes all week, and that didn't change Thursday with a pair of wins to send her into the quarterfinals. Now, her biggest test awaits. Quotable: "Love the views out here. The wind's definitely fun, but I just love the golf course. I like how it suits my game with the 90-yard wide fairways. It's a new experience playing in this wind. I'm enjoying it." No. 11 Megha Ganne Ganne had to go through two highly-ranked opponents on Thursday, first taking down good friend Anna Davis in the Round of 32 before beating Kary Hollenbaugh 2 and 1 in the afternoon. Now, she's into the quarterfinals for the second time. Quotable: "The one thing I remember from being in the semifinals is, as soon as you knock down that first Round of 64, it feels like I could just do that again and again and again, is the feeling I had when I was on a run there. Saints fans could win derby day hospitality in prize draw
Saints fans have a chance to win hospitality at the South Coast derby. The Saints Foundation's Superdraw offers fans the chance to win exclusive "Saints prizes", including hospitality for the Portsmouth fixture. The Saints Superdraw is a regular prize draw with a monthly donation giving fans a chance to win after every men's home league match. As well as the Derby hospitality prize, there are three alternative prizes on offer including signed Saints shirts, exclusive Saints merchandise, and vouchers for The Dell.
