If you're a Pixel fan in the market for a new phone, you're likely eyeing one of the latest Pixel 9s. However, while they're incredible smartphones, they aren't exactly affordable. But do you know which Pixel phone is both budget-friendly and powerful? The Pixel 7 Pro with 512GB of storage.
Thanks to a hefty 64% discount at Woot, this bad boy is now selling for just under $400. That means you'll save a whopping $700, as it would have set you back around $1,100 when it ranked among the best smartphones on the market. And we believe this is a phenomenal deal, especially if you want a speedy Google phone but prefer not to break the bank on the latest models.

If you're looking for a slightly newer Pixel phone, Amazon is selling the Pixel 8 at a $110 price cut. That means you can score one for just under $590! Don't miss out! Buy at Amazon Granted, this offer comes and goes regularly, so it's not exactly brand-new. Nevertheless, we still encourage you to act fast, as you never know when it will return if you miss out on it now.
As for the phone itself, well, it may not be a spring chicken, but its Tensor G2 chipset coupled with 12GB of RAM still delivers solid performance, allowing it to handle most tasks with ease. On top of that 512GB is still an ample storage space, which should be enough for most people. You just can't get a phone with this much storage and such capable silicon for south of $400—well, except if you don't grab the Motorola Edge+ (2023) for $400 off on Motorola.com. Even though the 512GB Edge+ (2023) is currently selling for the same price, it just doesn't match the camera capabilities of the Pixel 7 Pro . Boasting a capable 50MP main snapper and Google's image-processing magic, our friend here captures highly detailed photos with rich colors, ensuring every moment is preserved in stunning quality. On top of that, it boasts a gorgeous 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a 3120 x 1440 resolution and HDR support, delivering immersive visuals.

iOS 26 is giving me serious Windows Vista vibes

Alright, iOS 26 is out with a brand-new design that is just as breathtaking as it is... Windows Vista. And once you see it, you cannot unsee it. I honestly don't know how to feel about this. On one hand, this new Liquid Glass design is decidedly cool and... skeuomorphic in its own liquid glassy way, but on the other hand, it looks really, well, very retro. This retro style is particularly visible when you turn on the all-new Clear Look where all your icons turn transparent in one giant madness of glass-y glass on your home screen. Reactions on social media are also spot on: And this comment about readability and accessibility going down the drain with iOS 26 also rings true. Aside from the funny part of history repeating itself in curious ways, there is undeniably the cool and "lickable" part of Liquid Glass design that is also undeniably there. And of course, there are the reminders how all of the Android competition will have this in... two or three years maybe? Alright, time for your take on iOS 26 . With no major advancements in AI, is this new design the thing that others should envy and copy? Sound off in the comments below.

Apple unveils more Intelligence features, smarter Siri still nowhere to be seen

Apple held its Worldwide Developers Conference keynote today, and of course it can't be a keynote in 2025 without a lot of AI talk. So, Apple Intelligence has received a bunch of new features - before you ask, the smarter Siri which was first promised one year ago is still nowhere to be seen. But what you do get is Live Translation - which competitors have had for years, but it's good to see Apple finally catching up. It's integrated into Messages, FaceTime, and the Phone app, and its models run entirely on-device. In Messages, it obviously translates messages, but interestingly in FaceTime you can still hear your interlocutor's voice, this feature will add live translated captions. Only when you're on a phone call will it use a voice. You can now mix various emoji together and combine them with descriptions to come up with something new through Genmoji. And when you create one based on your family and friends, you can adjust stuff like hairstyle after the fact in order to match their latest look. ChatGPT is now integrated into Image Playground, Writing Tools, Siri, and Visual Intelligence. Visual Intelligence can now take action on anything you're seeing on your screen, so you can ask ChatGPT questions about what you're looking at to learn more. You can also search Google or ask Etsy and other supported apps. It recognizes when you're looking at an event and suggests adding it to your calendar, extracting the date, time, and location in the process. To use this, just take a screenshot - alongside the options to save and share it, you'll also see a new one that lets you explore more with Visual Intelligence. Shortcuts got smarter and more powerful with the addition of intelligent actions. For example, Apple says a student is able to build a shortcut that uses Apple Intelligence to compare an audio transcription of a class lecture to the notes they took, and add any key points they may have missed. ChatGPT is available here too, should you want to engage with it, but the default are Apple's models. The most relevant actions in an email, website, or other content can now be identified and automatically categorized in Reminders, Apple Wallet can identify and summarize order tracking details from emails sent from merchants and delivery carriers across all your orders, and Messages lets you create polls and can detect when a poll may come in handy and suggest one. On the Apple Watch (when you use Bluetooth headphones only), Workout Buddy is a feature powered by Apple Intelligence, which generates personalized, motivational insights during your workout sessions by tapping into your workout data and fitness history, including heart rate, pace, distance, Activity rings, and personal milestones. A new text-to-speech model is used which has a voice built using voice data from Fitness+ trainers, "so it has the right energy, style, and tone for a workout". This will first be available in English for these workout types: Outdoor and Indoor Run, Outdoor and Indoor Walk, Outdoor Cycle, HIIT, and Functional and Traditional Strength Training. Source

iPadOS 26 announced with macOS-style multi-tasking

Apple today announced iPadOS 26 at WWDC 25, which brings with it significant improvements in multitasking abilities, visual design, and AI capabilities. Let's start with the multitasking abilities, which have received a significant boost with this release. iPadOS 26 has greatly revamped app window management, which allows users to open multiple apps at the same time. Apps can be minimized, resized, and tiled and the OS can arrange them with a single flick. iPadOS 26 borrows Exposé from macOS, so you can quickly see all your open windows spread out on a single screen. And with Stage Manager, you can group windows into separate stages, which can also be split into internal and external displays. Another major macOS feature being borrowed is the menu bar. Apps can now have a menu bar at the top, which can be enabled with a simple swipe down or by moving the mouse pointer to the top. This shows a full-fledged menu bar, much like you'd see on a Mac, and developers can also customize it to suit their app. You might also notice macOS-style close, minimize, and resize controls in the corner. The Preview app from the Mac also makes an appearance on the iPad with iPadOS 26. Now you can open all your images within this app while also being able to open and edit PDF files. It can even be used to draw and write on using the Apple Pencil. Further complementing the multitasking capabilities are updates to Background Tasks. Now, apps that produce a long-running process, such as exporting a video or uploading a large file, can appear in Live Activities, allowing you to keep track of them while performing other tasks. Developers will have access to the updated Background Tasks API to let their apps take advantage of this feature. The Files app also gets an overhaul on iPadOS 26. It has a new UI with an updated List view that shows more files on screen at once with additional information. Folders can be customized with custom colors, icons, and emojis to make them more identifiable. Also, files can be dragged out from any folder onto the dock for easier access. Other new features include being able to choose different microphones for each app or even individual websites. Voice Isolation removes ambient noise from recorded audio and those with select AirPods models will also get 'studio-quality' recording. Local capture lets you capture a high-quality recording of audio and video from any video conferencing app, so you can save or share these recordings afterward. Finally, much like Apple's other platforms, iPadOS 26 is getting a fresh new coat of paint with Liquid Glass. This redesigns many UI elements with a new translucent material layer that responds to the content underneath it. iPadOS 26 also gets improved AI capabilities with new Apple Intelligence features, such as Live Translation in Phone, FaceTime, and Messages. You also get updated Shortcuts features with more powerful options that let you summarize text and create images. iPadOS 26 will be available as a developer beta today and as a public beta next month. Final release will be out later this year for iPad Pro (M4), iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation and later), iPad Pro 11-inch (1st generation and later), iPad Air (M2 and later), iPad Air (3rd generation and later), iPad (A16), iPad (8th generation and later), iPad mini (A17 Pro), and iPad mini (5th generation and later).
