Michael B Jordan on the reason he stays off social media
Michael B Jordan revealed that he follows Denzel Washington 's advice to maintain privacy, sharing as little of himself as possible on social media or to the press to "create a demand."
Washington, who directed Jordan in A Journal for Jordan (2021), advised him against overexposure to prevent audiences from seeing him "all week for free."
Jordan, fresh off the success of Sinners, reflected on his early career uncertainties before meeting director Ryan Coogler, who cast him in Fruitvale Station (2013) and subsequent successful collaborations like Creed and Black Panther.
Jordan said Coogler told him 'he thought I was a movie star' and that the director wanted to show the rest of the world how good an actor he was by making films together.
Clarisse Loughrey of The Independent praised Jordan's 'movie-star charisma' in a four-star review of Sinners, highlighting its blend of music, supernatural elements, and West African traditions.
